Our Majestic Japan tour May 7 was a life enriching combination of cultural interaction,
Historical context and great food and experiences. The sites and activities selected were world class. The food was exceptional quality and variety.
One thing stood out for Carla and me in the tour, our guide Hanah was amazing. She provided so much detailed narrative and made the sites and history come to life. She was also extremely helpful with Carla’s food allergies. She even had the allergies written up in Korean to help with that ongoing leg of our journey. She was very in tune with each person in our group.
Her innovation around meal selection provided us with an incredibly diverse and enjoyable opportunity to experience world class, local banquets and wonderful street food. Thank You Hanah for your attention to detail and innovation. Mike and Carla

We had a fantastic holiday in Japan on the Spring Elegance tour. Seeing the cherry blossom was wonderful, as well as exploring a variety of locations. This was an excellent introductory tour of Japan with a broad range of experiences. Our tour leader (Mitch, Yusuke Mitsui) was superb - best tour leader experienced on a background of going on many group tours. He was very organised, provided information in a timely manner, and was very friendly and informative so that we learned a lot during the tour. Inside Japan are real experts in Japan and provided us with a fantastic level of information before the holiday so that we felt very well prepared and very confident about the arrangements that had been made for us (on the tour and on an extension). Strong recommendation to use Inside Japan when booking a holiday to Japan.

My daughter and I just spent 10 days with Inside Japan Tours visiting Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto. The tour was put together extremely well, our guide Antonio was beyond amazing, I couldn't fault a single thing about him, he went above and beyond with all our activates, translations, entertainment and basically everything. Antonio even took me to the doctors and pharmacy after our tour had finished - well beyond what was required

I have wanted to visit Japan for decades and finally decided to go in 2026. After reviewing itineraries from several tour companies, I found Inside Japan and was immediately attracted to the idea of building my own custom trip. Representatives are knowledgeable: unlike some other companies, IJ’s staff actually spend time in Japan and thus are guiding from experience. Once we jointly constructed an itinerary, they sent very detailed daily instructions and sent a packet of train tickets and activity vouchers to my first hotel. I used their 24/7 support line a few times and responses were prompt and helpful. If you like the idea of traveling on your own scheduke with excellent support, I recommend IJ without reservation. If you would prefer someone meet you every morning and lead you onto a bus and stay with you for the day, go with more conventional companies

Thao was brilliant from start to finish - really listened to what we wanted and guided us as to an itinerary which ticked all the boxes. Everything ran smoothly on the trip and all the supporting information such as how to put extra money on our IC cards was really useful. Definitely recommend Inside Japan Tours.

The tour itself is excellent, great tour guide, great companions, 12-15 people, just the right size. But the travel consultant service is a little subpar. Overall still a very solid program.

We had a wonderful private tour of Japan due to our working with Inside Japan for planning. The activities, tours, hotels, and transportation all went smoothly and without a hitch. The guides were all very pleasant and knowledgeable. The printed itinerary available at our first hotel stay was nice to have in addition to the PDF on our phones. My wife and I have been fortunate to enjoy nearly annual trips together to many wonderful, far-flung destinations during 33 years of marriage. We both put our 2026 trip to Japan at the top of our all-time favorite and most memorable trips. Inside Japan did a fabulous job planning and organizing everything for us. The personal Guides and drivers they arranged for us in Tokyo and Kyoto were game changers. We also enjoyed relaxing and touring on our own in and around Hakone. We never expected it would be so fascinating to enjoy a private audience with a charming and fascinating Maiko -- a last-minute addition to our trip, all arranged by Inside Japan's local staff. Don't hesitate to book with them -- you will love what they arrange for you and how easy they make it to enjoy and immerse yourself in many wonderful and memorable experiences you will find only in Japan.

The traditional Japan tour I booked as a self guided tour was 5* from beginning to end. Incredibly knowledgeable advice by Will and the team. From the moment the A5 "bible" handbook arrived prior to departure any worries I had about booking a self guided tour melted. It was a breeze. All railway and bus tickets and details of seat reservations waited for us on arrival in Tokyo.
The trip was a great mixture of city and beautiful countryside, giving us a great taste of this exciting destination.
All ground arrangements - accommodation and tours - were very good.
Funds permitting I will return and save myself a lot of time as I have no hesitation in using Inside Japan as my trusted, go to tour operator.

Inside Japan were with us all the way. It was like having a private guide all the way 24 /7. This included pre abd post trip. Nothing was ever a problem

I booked mine through a independent company, l had 4 different itineraries to choose and you came out on top (thank god). From the first pickup at the airport to arriving in Tokyo and meeting Hanan, and the start of an amazing tour.Trains Buses, Taxi. Everything was spot on, the couture, the Temples, Shines, Castles and not forgetting the amazing Gardens. The food was a struggle on occasion but with a smile from Hanon and explanation we got through. What can l say about Hanon, thoughtful generous, pleased everyone nothing was to much trouble what a asset to the company, especially when you have strong minded people. I Can't pick a ny one thing it was all AMAZING a massive thank you very much for making my Japanese Experience

Excellent company to use, their planning organisation and information provided is exceptional. Very easy to follow in country information for a self guided trip. Wifi provided and all tickets prebooked made travel and directions really straightforwards. We covered the main sights of Japan on our tour and had 2 days with guides in Tokyo and Kyoto which made a change from self guided and gave helpful tips too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company or use them again for further travel in Japan.

I spent a lot of money on this trip and no one spent anytime reviewing it. How is it possible to go to a city and told to go to museums in Tokyo on a Monday that are all closed. This company does not know anything
