The bank offered to put me through the the ICA qualification, Which i thought would be a good challenge for me.
Quickly I learnt that the comment on the ICA website stating "Proactive support throughout the duration of the course to help learners on track" was not true.
If you want help you email the team and they come back to you in 48 hours, but with a generic response. not helpful at all
The only reason I am giving this one star is the material was interesting to read.
Many people on my Cohort found the support shocking and not worth the money our institution paid (so not value for money)

I studied for the AML certification,
I study a lot, and it wierd the practice question are relevant to the course and easy to respond. But the actual test question are design to make you fail.
I had to pass 3 times the exam before I pass.
No I study privacy, as I did not enjoy the exam question, very stress full

To receive a certain certificate you need to pass exam regarding things they didn't teach you during the course. Quote from their course:
"To successfully pass the course you need to do X"
"We didn't teach you X during this course, but.."
zero logic.
- course material very low quality.
customer support just doesn't respond to emails.

I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to the International Certification Association (ICA) for the invaluable knowledge and skills I acquired during my pursuit of the professional diploma. The educational journey has presented me with numerous opportunities to explore uncharted paths within my field. Undoubtedly, this experience has been nothing short of remarkable, providing significant value to my career progression.

I have just completed the Diploma in GRC, which I found very challenging. So pleased to pull through in the end. If you intend enrolling for a Diploma with the ICA, prepare to be challenged but just know that it will be worth it in the end.

The do not give refunds once you book in and the website is clunky. ACAMS is a much better option

The course was well designed and a great introduction for me. I think the interface could be easier to navigate. Also feedback on multiple choice exam would be helpful to know what questions or areas need improvement. Lastly have access to course material post exam would be good for a limited period.

I was nervous about the exam because of the manual which was in-depth and thorough but as I studied the material I realized it was easy to understand and extremely helpful with the self assessments, It was an enjoyable experience.

I registered for international diploma course four weeks back. Got everything cleared up and since two weeks have been chasing the it finance team as I have to make payment and waiting for their response. I got an email that they will check and revert but nobody is responding. My first class is just 3 days away. I am just wondering what will happen in case I have any problem after making the payment. Even noticed that they are quite unorganized in responding to other queries too.

Spam emails received from the website are countless and not clear where to limit them in the settings. Unfortunately, it's an obligatory requirement of our regulatory body to get a course and pass an exam in ICA, other wise I would unsubscribe immediately not to receive these annoying emails any more.

The ICA learning journey was fantastic, and curriculum had ample time to finish within the three months given. Certificate was useful and is recognized in this industry, alongside competitors' offerings.
However, that marks the end of a positive time with ICA. Although the course was paid in full cash, I received credit control notes over the next two and a half months urging me to make payment. It was difficult to reach Wilmington credit control, and when someone did answer the phone, excuses were given about missing transactions and colleagues going on "time off", with staff noting they had to "find" the specific payment message in the system.
Last month, they promised to rectify the issue to which I provided evidence of full payment, and sadly that did not happen. There was no return correspondence nor follow up.
About two weeks ago, I called and they finally sorted the issue once and for all, in the wake of a formal debt collection notice being emailed to me at close to 5pm in the evening, ruining the rest of the day.
The past two months have been very stressful, as ICA's payment system clearly does not record selected cash/debit transactions. This has resulted in ongoing stress for me, owing to the sharp emails on making payment (or facing the consequences for non-compliance).
For that duration, credit control remained barely contactable, and were reluctant to assist in an expedient manner. I was very close to having actual debt collectors show up at my residence, for something paid for in full.
Update:
ICA contacted me after this review was published, and have taken strong steps to understand the sequence of what occurred and engage in corrective measures to ensure no reproduction.
Credit control lapses are incidents never to be taken lightly, as once on a person's "black mark" tend to be difficult to undo and remove.
I am delighted to say that ICA has conducted a proper investigation and not only issued an apology, but described in great detail over the phone the measures taken to prevent a recurrence.
As the gold-standard in the compliance industry not just within the UK and English speaking world but globally, ICA has stepped up to address my experience, and have taken positive measures to identify, correct, and learn from such incidences.
Much appreciation to the team at ICA learning support for their kind assistance on this matter.

Everything was organized in the interests of the student. Only a good mastering of the course will lead to a positive result.
