Great support from the IRIS' team to choose the best-suited model for our use, quick delivery and IRIScan Pro 6 works properly

Slowish delivery but good tracking once despatched. Product is good but instructions are poor. No OCR software included. Price varies according to what offers Canon Iris has. Don't pay full price.

Great ocr scanning, allmost perfect. Good voice recorder, with a little pacience even the foto cam can be of help.

There are some bugs with editing options in book menu. When I select an option, e.g finger hide and then save it, in the next image the software considers this option enabled, even if I have my pages saved with this option disabled. So, I can’t enable this option in that other image, if I want.

When I tried to ask a question from their website, I was not able to. In order to ask a Question, one needs to have a "professional" email address. I guess that means email address must be from a company. I don't work for a company. It would not accept an@gmail address. What a ridiculous set-up!
I then scheduled a 15 minute Google Meet session to ask a question. The Iriscan rep did not join, although he later emailed me to say he did not join.

a few test scans proved that the scanner works fine.
Solidity and reliabality will show in due course.

The IRIScan Desk 6 Pro and it´s software can really help a lot to get hardware digitized into a computer memory. The competition by smartphone cameras is
quite a challenge nowadays but using the IRIScan feels like doin´ it the professional way. After setting the parameters you need scanning itself is the easiest part and processing very fast. The OCR really works fine with standard book text and the only disadvantage I found so far is that the aligning of the page borders could be better, should lead to a perfect rectangle. Maybe one should use some fingers to stretch all book pages. There isn´t a recommendation to do this. I will try so next time.

Excellent storage concept (flex frame). Good web cam functionality.

Only the LED light might need a slightly different approach (perhaps two "indirect" LEDs, including better diffusors).

Also, regarding photo laden magazines etc. it would be nice if there was also a version with TRUE 32 MPixels (no interpolation, like it sadly is the case with the v7 desktop version), so that A4 and A3 format scanning would result in considerably higher resolutions than with the currently available 300 dpi scans (and only in A3).

All in all, a great mobile and versatile product. Many thanks to the manufacturer!

Using IRIS Scan 6 is a miracle for my small business. Easy digitazing my documents for minutes and also transfering them through OCR software is a miracle for the accounting.

The performance of the Iriscan Visualizer is constantly underwhelming. The light produces a hot spot and the exposure is incredibly difficult and unintuitive to set, the colors are usually very wrong, and it doesn't reliably connect to my computer. Even when scanning plain black and white documents it is a pain to set the exposure such that the page is white.

The quality of the scans is not good, it is a picture from above. But it is useful in cases where a usual board scan can not be used, like books and photo albums. It is the difference between can and cannot do it.

The process of recognition is fine, but only if the quality of the scanned pages is very good. Not always are the page borders set correctly, and fingers are not always removed. Most frustrating is when the program suddenly crashes after 3D optimization of the page, and all the changes for all the rest pages are lost. Also, why isn't there an option for bulk 3D optimization? It's very inconvenient to do that page by page. I mostly scan books, so that means hundreds of pages.

Just received the latest IRIS Pen.

The online ordering process was straightforward, the price was reasonable, delivery of the desktop scanner was swift, and so far the hardware and its companion software have been functioning smoothly

Your products actually do what they are supposed to do.
Given the almost daily hassle with other products, it is just joy to take a stack of old paper of various sizes and condition AND JUST SCAN IT!!!
