Booked 2 trips (Napoli->Rome, Firenze->Rome) in June. What they don't tell you is that the buses actually don't just drive the selected route, but instead travel huge distances.
For example, the Napoli->Rome bus actually departs from Zagreb (Croatia) and drives all the way to Sicily.
So naturally, it's extremely unlikely that the bus arrives on time at your departure city, since it necessarily encounters delays on the way (traffic jams, accidents, etc).
Hence, both trips I booked had close to 2 hours delay (but slightly less than 120 minutes, which means I wasn't able to get refunded). This seems to be inevitable, but the company probably doesn't care.
Overall bad experience, don't use Itabus if you don't want to waste your time and be delayed.

We have taken a bus from Ljubljana to Rome on 24th June at 18.50 pm . Our bus number was ITA 2791. The bus driver was too rude to our kid and us. He did not allow to use toilet in the bus as it was locked by him. Bus was also not very comfortable. Poor services even after paying for XL seats of premium category.

Worst service believe me!!! I lost my baggage I’m trying to reach them out for months didn’t get any response yett.
This is ridiculous seriously hope if any of them see this and help me out to get it back I lost my phone, passport, documents I mail them several times and their service center worst than anything

100min delay on the bus and the support hang up the phone when you call them to have news

“Free wifi” onboard is a sham, requires login activation via email account (which cannot be done if you don’t have data roaming?) - so cannot get any connection for whole journey!
Don’t make booking errors as you will lose 50% to change a date, even after 30min

Every review about this Bus company was completely correct. This bus company sucks. They are late, the tracking doesn’t work, and all of the workers have been extremely disrespectful. I hope they go bankrupt.

Ragazzi, non prenderti mai questa compagnia di autobus. Vergogna è poco. 2 ore di ritardo e non nemmeno ti rimborsano.

Be warned, do not use this bus company, it's the shame of Italy. 2 hours late, we had to take the train instead and they don't even give your money back. Use flix bus, much better.

The bus was few minutes late but the rest of the experience were all ok.

So there was a bomb attempt, my flight get delayed and I get an email from Itabus saying there is a delay too but no information on the new time.

The following trip was supposed to be at 3:20 they did not show up.

I bought a next ticket at 14:59 for the 17:40 and I decided to cancel it and since it was almost impossible to cancel I managed to do it with the help of an Italian lady at 15:40…

And out of the almost 13 euro ticket they only returned 2 euros something.

What a scam

A 5 hours trip turned into a 7 hours trip, thanks to the constant traffic delays and the driver not moving from the truck lane (mind you, multiple Flixbus and other busses surpassed us during this whole thing). We basically went 7 hours without a bathroom or food, had to rush to the hotel for the check in as soon as we arrived and after that, we had to run to the concert we were traveling for to begin with. In the end the only food we managed to eat was after the concert, so thanks to this wonderful 2hrs delay we basically got forced to do some fasting for the entire day. And the crazy part is that the company didn’t even give us a refund cause the delay was happening as we were on board? As if that makes it better than having to wait for a bus outside for 2hrs. Never again, this was a draining experience

I was honestly scared after reading plenty of the reviews reported in this page. However, my first experience with Itabus has been excellent. We travelled with my partner from Padua to Rome; not only the tickets we purchased were ridiculously cheap, but also the bus was perfectly on time and the driver and his assistant were very nice and polite. I really recommend it!

We bought two tickets, they didn't send us proof of payment. Then at midnight, they sent us an email saying they'd changed the departure time, and the final destination was also changed in the search engine with the bus number. But this isn't enough for them because they won't give us a cent back. They're just thieves!

New buses very comfortable BUT have gone from Trieste to Ljubljana twice now, first time bus was one hour late, the second time it was 2 1/2 hours late. VERY disappointing, especially since this is a new route for the company.

Took a bus from Venice to Zagreb.
Bus was late for 40 minutes. No apologies from the drivers.
There was 0 instruction given from the drivers. It's not that I need any but it's good to know. Like maybe time of arrival or something.
None of the drivers mention anything regarding the short breaks at any of stops.

This was the worst driving experience that I had.

I am in the bus coming from Milan to Florence. The time of the bus was 00:10 and the bus arrived on time but the arrival time to Florence was 4:50 and it’s 4:10 and we haven’t even reached bologna yet and actual distance from bologna to Florence is 1 hours 20 minutes approximately which means I will be in Florence at approximately 6:00 I won’t recommend anyone to use this service

i took the bus from the trieste to ljubiana on saturday 15-03-2025. the total journey time was like 1.5 hrs but my bus is delayed by 1 hour. i also read the many reviews now all are almost negative. Now they showing the prize of ticket from trieste or from venice to rome like 8 or 9 euros, how can i trust them. i scared if they cancel the bus on time i will loose all the hotel bookings in the rome.
can any one please tell me that they took this bus for with 8 euros from trieste or from venice to rome.

I took a bus trip with Itabus from Zagreb to Milan. The bus was late 15min on arrival, even though Zagreb was the initial station. I guess the drivers made a decision to mend the time table without telling anyone. When I bought the ticket, the ticket indicated only the direct line between Zagreb and Milan, but we stopped in every bigger city on the way, sometimes having multiple stops in the same city. Conveniently, the company didn’t disclose this scenic route when advertising. I also bought a ticket in their “top” section of the bus, which offers extra leg room and regretted it instantly as there was something loose above my seat and and it kept on creating a loud noise every time we would hit an uneven portion of the road.
All in all, I would not recommend or repeat this experience.

Do not buy tickets from this company, even if they are cheap.

I purchased a bus ticket from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Slovenia with this company. I arrived more than 20 minutes early and waited at the designated bus stop. However, the bus never showed up, and I thought I had completely missed it.

After asking other bus drivers, I discovered that the actual Itabus stop was in a different parking area within the airport—not the location I was originally given.

By that time, I was convinced I had missed my bus, so I purchased a ticket for another departure. After buying the new ticket, I found out that the original bus had arrived more than 30 minutes late at a completely different parking area from the one stated in my ticket information.

I contacted the company and requested a refund for providing incorrect pickup location details, but they refused to take responsibility. Their customer service was also terrible.

I strongly DO NOT recommend buying tickets from this company.

Took bus from Trieste to Venice. Bus has more than 30 min delay and live tracking in their website did not work!

The bus broke down in the middle of nowhere, the staff didn't understand English and didnt explain what happened and every time I took a ride they were late even on arrival, especially when we got to our destination and my friends were waiting for me to pick me up
