I use IXL, but the smartscore just goes down, like what Einstein said "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will live it's whole life believing that it is stupid" and the smartscore goes down if you get an answer wrong making us seem like we are thinking we are dumb, plus it causes stress and anxiety making us rush and guess.

I hate ixl. Sometimes it took 120 questions to finish one ixl quiz. The ixl score ruins my feeling and sometimes I cried Because the score was keep falling.

I mean I don't hate IXL buuuut It takes FOREVER to finish a ''lesson'' and the corrections feel weird, I forgot to take a picture but I chose the right answer at one point but IXL said, Nah you're wrong it's actually the answer you chose

I am a 6th grader who uses IXL for each of the four main subjects. I hate it, but me and millions of others are being forced to use it anyways. It causes stress, frustration, and even depression. The scoring system is awful, the site breaks its promises in the mission statement of the site, and teachers only like it because of the data they receive from it. Plus, a membership costs $79.99 PER STUDENT. The schools are just wasting money. They could be buying better equipment with that money, but they still give it to a greedy company. The site is basically a method of torture. I don't like it, my friends don't like it, I can't think of anyone that likes IXL. The only people who pretend to like IXL are the kids featured in ads for the company. Like they need any more money. The teachers and administration know we don't like the site, so why bother continuing to use it?

I'm 11 years old and my class uses ixl.I have severe anixety and depression which put my in sucidal situations. Ixl has caused my so much stress that During class I go out in the hall just so I don't have to do it.IXL doesn't help kids learn it destroys their confidence and tells them that no matter how hard you try you'll never make it.IXL says it is "the best learning website" when so many kids cry and get mad because of it.If you are a teacher stop using IXL.

IXL is a waste of time. On the diagnostic, one wrong question will put you back a whole grade level. I am in 10th grade, and yet my math level is in the 700s (7th grade) all because of a few missed questions on the diagnostic. The teachers have no control over what questions IXL asks, as they are given completely at random. I’ve begun having to do IXLs for a classmate of mine who has dyscalculia, because they offer no help to him. My parents continue to get mad at me for being unable to finish IXL assignments despite my explanation.

I been using IXL since 7th grade and I don't know how this website is still working because it's terrible I get frustrated all the time when I was using this website I hate the smart score because why does the questions don't stop until I get a 100 one time it took me 239 questions to just finished one lesson to be honest people need to try to shut down this website if you are a student using IXL talk to your teacher or parents about this.

I've played IXL during 5th grade, and I had this NWEA test thing coming up. I completed all of the questions in all of those tests (there's three in total, I got about 230 in all of them), and then, when I went to IXL, I saw the study plan. I clicked on it. When I did, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PROBABLY HIGHSCHOOL QUESTIONS (I'm in fifth grade btw) !!! I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO SINCE THE VIDEOS GIVEN WERE USELESS SINCE I COULDNT UNDERSTAND THEM, AND MY PARENTS COULDNT HELP EITHER! So, I went to my home screen to go to my diagnostic plan, and... there's nothing. WHERE IS THE STUDY PLAN BUTTON?!?!?!? This is my homework every night (Well, not anymore)

if I could give one star I would.this app is an excuse for teachers to not teach us.this app is broken its buggy and no one likes it this is as bad as i-ready almost...my teacher makes us do this crap idk why..then when you get something wrong it is not helpful it barely shows you how to do it so you don't get it wrong and the video is not helping too...

REALLY BAD. As someone who sucks at math I'd expect to learn something but it's ALL useless repeating "diagnostics" and "lessons" I'd have more fun and learn more reading War and Peace then do 500 lessons on IXL

im a student and its terrible. you get 2 points when you get a question right and 16 taken away if you get one wrong

THE "Smart score" sucks because it takes 8-12 things out but when you get a ? corrent it gets 3 things

it is so trash and demotivates students and whoever made this website is a madman on steroids

IXL is TORTURE because it is so mean and it constantly is wrong for example it told my child who is in year 5 that 4 times 15 is 72, it’s not it’s 60.

Also, my children spend like 30 minutes just completing 1 exercise because it glitches so often.

I am disgusted by this app

IXL is the spawn of Satan and I can go all day about it. Its very stressful and if you are a teacher do not get it unless you want your students complaining to you every second about how frustrating it is just don't get it. Its a waste of time, money, and sanity. The smart scoring system is genuinely rigged and bogus. You can have a smart score of 97 and you get one question wrong and it'll bump you down to an 87 or even lower. It punishes you for easily avoidable mistakes and often leaves students like me feeling frustrated and irritated. And when you look to see what you didn't do correctly the explanation is half assed, wordy, and extremely lengthy with terrible steps on how to solve the problem that teachers cant even understand. This does not only apply to math but to literally every subject they have available. Its very repetitive and the more you get wrong the more questions start to repeat making students rush to get it done instead of learning and trying to memorize the material. IXL by themselves isn't even trustworthy because on May 2024 they got caught and sued for collecting and monetizing CHILDREN'S personal data without any parental consent. In short they are collecting minors data and then making money off of it. If you truly cared for your students you would keep them a thousand miles away from this website. Its frustrating and is actively profiting off your kids data. Children have cried over this website and there are millions of reviews that clearly state that. IXL is waste of time do not bother with it.

Amazing platform. It allows us to clearly track a child’s level and progress. It’s the best platform I’ve found for this purpose. I’ve been using it for 3 years now, and I plan to continue using it.

This app sucks and made my children very angry DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Amazing app to study with my 7 years old daughter. Before I signed up to this app I didn't knew where to start. I don't care what people say about the scoring system. I just do all different exercises with her, we only used this app for couple months and the progress she did is amazing. Thank you
