CUSTOMER SERVICE ABYSSMAL
Placed order for winter boots through Amazon on 27 October. They weer shown in stock. Amazon site showed order received and gave delivery as 29 October-2 November even though I had paid for express delivery.
Order did not arrive on 29 October and I sent e-Mail for clarification. Reply said problem due to move to new premises.
The Amazon site showed order as being prepared for delivery for over 3 days. On 1 November I sent urgent e-mail with no response. On 2 November the latest date on delivery promise I tried to contact company by phone from 9.00am to around 4.00pm only getting engaged tone until last attempt.
Person I got full of apologies saying out of contact due to relocation.
He agreed that order should have been shipped on 28 October but had somehow been missed. When asked what he proposed said could do nothing that day as shipments closed and again mine had been missed.
He said he would arrange shipment on 2 November by express courier for delivery on 3 November without fail.
Later received e-mail from Amazon saying order shipped and supplying a DPD tracking number. When I checked DPD Tracker on 3 November it showed item had not left.
I checked with local DPD depot to see if they had order in case of problem with tracker. They informed me that order had not reached them at Bournemouth.
I tried phoning again with no success so I e-mailed the company website. Eventually received reply at 1.35pm:
"Good Afternoon,
Thanks for your e-mail. We are very sorry for the delay on your parcel once again. Whilst your label was generated yesterday unfortuantely the boots were not despatched as expected. Upon despatching your item we discovered that unfortunately the incorrect size was in the box. We have more size 10 due in but due to us relocating the delivery has been slightly dealyed. They are due in tomorrow. Once they arrive we will send them to you on a next day service. We have refunded your postage charge & issued you a refund of 10% for the delay. Your order will be with you early next week unless at this point you would prefer to cancel?
Apologies once again for all the inconvenience & delay,

Now we wait to see how long it takes to re-imburse me.

Taken money but no boots!!!
I wish I had read reviews of this company before buying as I paid for boots on the 23rd March and I'm still waiting for them 12+ weeks later with no updates or responce to my attempts to contact the company. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! I will be taking this to trading standards or turning up at their doors as there's an outlet/sorting factory near me I've discovered. Not impressed one bit, appalling service

No Order and NO Correspondence
Iv ordered a set of Oakley lenses weeks ago, I have NOT received any correspondence from the company and i car't get through on the phone. How am i meant to get any confidence from this company when they wont eave respond to me

Terrible company
We ordered a satchel from them last week with the £3.95 premium next day delivery and it's still not arrived. There's also no tracking number on the email to trace the item, but one thing James & James are quick at doing is taking the money!
They are clearly a cowboy outfit and I wish we'd read the reviews prior to purchasing.

No Order, No Phone Service, No Email! What is going on?
I placed an order for some shoes, this is for our wedding in 2 weeks time. I was told 3 days delivery. It has been over 1 week and the shoes have still not arrived. I can not call you, your number says you are constantly busy, I have emailed you with no response. Can I assume that the shoes will not be arriving and the groom will have to walk bare foot down the isle? Very frustrating as I can not cancel order and get shoes from elsewhere unless I can speak to someone. Please sort out your customer service and send goods on time.

A refund!
Update (see below)......have had email from J&J and, again, the product I bought is out of stock. However, instant refund given which is good and polite apology. Such a shame that this is a recurring and so frustrating problem.
Not a great first impression
Ordered a set of Oakley Half Jacket 2.0s with additional lenses. Neither were out of stock but after ordering received an email saying the additional lenses were out of stock.
Received the sunglasses and although the box was correct it was the completely wrong sunglasses in the box.
Phoned their support number and it said that due to being busy in summer they were not able to take phone calls. So had to email and am waiting for a response.
Doubt I would use again based on this first impression.

It is now the day after the next day, are the sandals on their way?
I see that you went into liquidation last month, should you be taking money from me on Monday 7 July and not delivering my items?

Great service, speedy delivery (even at Christmas) and good quality product.
Having trekked around the shops and online looking for a pair of boots suitable for work (black, stylish but without obvious styling eg. conspicuous stitching), my wife found your website.
Knowing the type of boot I like, and she does too, we ordered on Saturday 21st December at 11am. I received a text on the Tuesday morning (24th December) from the delivery company explaining the timeframe: 11.18-12.18 or change to alternative delivery day. My boots arrived at 11.50am.
Very, very happy with the ease of use of the website, the speedy delivery (even so close to Christmas) and great quality product too. Great service, huge pat on your backs team!!

Very bad experience!!
I ordered some boots, choosing the 'free delivery' option which according to the website guarantees deliver within three days. A week after placing my order - still no boots, so I attempted to contact them via the telephone number's' listed on their site.
Both telephone numbers go straight to an answerphone message outlining the office opening hours. However......whatever time of day you call it's the same message, so clearly the office opening hours don't actually exist. For me, it's always a concern when there's no way of actually speaking to someone about an order I've placed online.
To their credit, they did respond politely, and swiftly to emails, only to inform me that my order wasn't actually in stock.
So in summary, they took my money despite their not actually having my item, and then didn't even contact me to let me know, just happy to leave me waiting, until I exhausted all methods of contacting them.
Needless to say, once I have my refund I shan't ever be using them again, and based on my experience I'd advise others to stay away. There are plenty of other reputable online stores, that actually have valid numbers you can call if you need to speak to someone.

Placed order over 2 months ago, still no product.
I placed my order for a pair of Oakley sunglasses on 15th June. I waited for 2 weeks and still hadn't received my glasses. I got in contact with jamesandjames to see where my order was and they replied saying the style I ordered was out of stock, and were getting more stock in 2/3 weeks. I willing said I would wait for them to have them back in stock. On 29th July I still hadn't received the sunglasses. I emailed jamesandjames to see what was going on and they replied saying they still hadn't received their order from Oakley. Today is 18th August and I am still waiting for my sunglasses to arrive. Waiting over 2 months for an order is unacceptable.

If something looks to good to be true it usually is. I very rarely write reviews but feel obliged to do so this time to warn other people on using James&James. Looking at the reviews some people actually do receive products when ordered. I myself did not and its not an isolated incident check through the reviews here.
I ordered an Oakley watch which was a good price. I checked back to the website the next day and for some reason half of the oakley watches had suddenly gone out of stock. I then decided to email them as it had been over two days and they say that they will dispatch the next day. I also tried to call and it says that the lines are disabled as they are so busy another bad sign. So i checked my credit card they had taken my money for £695.00 so not a small amount. Eventually they sent me an email saying they were out of stock and that they would not be able to get them back into stock. Is it me or i thought it was actually illegal to advertise products as in stock and take money from people accounts and not actually have the products?
There has been a total lack of communication from James&James as well as being unprofessional and uncontactable. Anyway my advice to anyway thinking of ordering from them be warned and look elsewhere before using James&james.
