Placed an order yesterday after…

Placed an order yesterday after receiving poor customer service.

Also, the item I purchased was £9 dearer than the manufacturer themselves. So I queried this.

Today, I got an email stating that the item I purchased was sold out and my order has been cancelled.

I think this may be a record for the number of issues I’ve had with 1 company and in under 24 hours.

I’ve contacted c/s who don’t really care. So I’m leaving some feedback on here to hopefully discourage people from spending their money at Jarrold. Invest in the businesses that want to do well and want to please their customers.

It doesn’t take a lot but means a lot to be on the receiving end of good c/s.

Excellent service and well packet product.

We ordered some Denby white crockery online. The price for the products was good and they were in stock. They arrived in good time exceedingly well packed and there were no breakages. They were the best packed items I have bought online. So overall very pleased with the experience and would use them again.

Well, my experience was very positive. Thanks

Had a hamper gift arrive for xmas and was delighted by the quality and individuality of the items. Decided to look at their deli shop online and succumbed to ordering a dozen items..

Swift comms told me one was out of stock and wouldn't be charged. The rest on their way, which took 24 hours to complete it's journey. Excellent packaging, am very pleased with all the experience. Will use again.

Don't order online

I received an order online that included a pair of boots that were faulty. On returning them I sent a written letter that included details of the fault (as was requested on their returns page... hello dark ages). Just checked my statement to see that they have only refunded the amount totalling the items I returned and not the £13+ that signed for postage cost because of the heavy boots. Like others, I ordered from here to support an independent store, but they have not stayed true to their word and refunded postage for errors on their behalf.

Would recommend!

Ordered two bags from Jarrold. They were dispatched promptly and they are gorgeous. Great service and excellent range of products. Will definitely use their website again! Wish they had a store nearer to me!

Similar story to many on here

Similar story to many on here. Ordered an item online 3 days ago only to get an email saying it's a "stock error" and they can't source stock from their supplier. Now can't get from other places who had stock at the time. Never ordered from here before, safe to say I won't again

Extremely Disappointed

This morning I placed an online order for an item which was in stock only to receive an e-mail some hours later advising it was no longer available.
This is my first and last time using this company and wouldn't recommend them.

I placed my first order recently. I was a little spooked by the negative reviews but my experience couldn't be further from that. Thank you to Alison W from customer service who sent a very prompt, friendly and helpful reply to my email. My order was received on time and was as expected. I'd definitely recommend your site and will shop with you again.

Show items in stock that they don’t have.

They Show items in stock that they then cancel your order and blame supplier stock- not what you need on Black Friday weekend, as trying to re source kids toys for Christmas is challenging enough in these time of low supply- Jarrod sort out you stock control and you wouldn’t get 37% of customers rating you 1 star!!!

Great customer service from Emma

I had great customer service from Emma, who responded very promptly to my email query and found the item in question for me and held it for me till I placed my order. It was then delivered very speedily and packaged well! Thank you Emma, much appreciated:) above and beyond customer service.

Great customer service

I was sent some bowls as a present and they unfortunately arrived broken (they were very well packaged with fragile tape around the box, no complaints there). Not wanting to get the person who sent them to me involved, I contacted customer services with a photo and they got another set sent out to me the same day. Thanks!

Restaurant experience in the Norwich…

Restaurant experience in the Norwich store not good. Absolutely appalled to have cash payment refused. I am afraid i shall not be returning to Jarrolds until they are willing to accept cash payment. I do not like being bullied into using card payment. Such a shame when most local people want to support this long standing family store.

extremely impressed!!!

I don’t usually write reviews but i was quite worried about ordering from here at first after reading the reviews on here, but i ordered my lonchamp le pliage handbag from here and it’s safe to say i’m extremely satisfied, the bag came quickly and it’s exactly the one i ordered, not to mention the cheapest i could find!! Wouldn’t hesitate to order again

Great service at Jarrolds Laura mercier makeup counter by Chloe.

Laura mercier makeup counter.
I was looked after by a lovely young lady called Chloe. She really took the time to go through products after asking me some questions about what I was looking for, for my makeup. It was great to be able to have a trial with the products, nothing was too much trouble. All very safely done and clean. Chloe was so friendly and I felt she really listened to what I needed and recommended relevant items. Felt she really deserved the recognition as it gave me the confidence to treat myself and get a new bundle of items and be happy with my makeup again, so a big thanks to Chloe at the Laura mercier counter.

Brilliant communication

Brilliant communication from their ordering department. I placed an order online and wanted it delivering to an outlying branch, which wasn’t listed on their website. Quick and personal response to ensure this was possible. I was kept fully informed. Very happy

Excellent customer service from the…

Excellent customer service from the staff at Jarrolds , the dress I wanted to buy was in the sale but not on the online web site, they don’t usually take orders over the phone. Everything is on line now, but the dress wasn’t showing on line. So the Mint Velvet dept. Wrapped & sent the dress which I received the following day! So thank you very much Drew Turner & Belinda from Mint Velvet. Wendy Taylor.

Sad to leave a bad review after using…

Sad to leave a bad review after using this store for so many years. Yesterday i bought a Tom Ford Aftershave and paid £174.00 for it. Thinking it was pricey i decided to check the price with other department stores. Harrods amoung outher more luxury stores in London charge £164! and this generally includes postage. I prefer to try and support local stores like Jarrolds but having been charged £10 extra i will no longer continue to give this store my business.

A truly wonderful experience today for…

A truly wonderful experience today for lunch at the Exchange in Jarrold. Varied menu and wonderful staff, especially James who was very attentive without being intrusive. A relaxed atmosphere to enjoy excellent food on our first ever visit to Jarrold. Will certainly make a point of lunching here again on our next visit to Norwich.
