I phoned jarvis as had a shared dealing account with them. I had £60 in the account but hadn't accessed the account for a few years. I thought I may as well buy some shares with that £60. However when I phoned I was told that because the account was inactive for over a year & the closure fee was £60 I had a 0 balance. I was not informed of this or given the opportunity to buy shares with this £60. This is theft.
