Used my local Johnson’s Self Service Wash facility to launder and dry a Duvet. Very easy to understand and operate. Opted for the stain remover and sanitiser. Quilt came out lovely, clean and fresh... See more

I read in The Telegraph of a new Teddy Bear Spa service for treasured soft toys which had a bit too much TLC and were somewhat threadbare!
I took my large soft toy rabbit (almost 100 years old) to a local Waitrose store where he was then sent on to Johnsons Cleaners in Rugby for repair.
After almost three weeks I was contacted by Gary who informed me of progress and completion. Gary arranged a safe courier to get my treasure back to our nearest Johnsons. I am absolutely delighted with the result and can only highly commend Johnsons in Rugby for their care, attention and communication . It was all impeccable.
Thank you to all at Johnsons.

My favourite Johnson’s cleaners Leeds Road. Super efficient and friendly staff. Especially Sarah and Phoenix

If I could give zero stars, I would.
Horrendous customer service and lack of clarity about signing a “disclaimer”.
Feel like I’ve been robbed. Completely ineffective cleaning.
Would not recommend and will never use again.

Took my coat in, paid £20 came back with dirt still on it and was told they cannot remove stains (whats the point then of dry cleaning?). Coat has dog or cat fur on it! I dont own a pet! Its bobbled more, has been in storage however checked over beforehand. Very upset I have pet dander allergy, so ruiend my £175 coat, now have to try and find a professional dry cleaner to sort the issues, dont bother taking your loved items here unless you want them back worse than they went in, so very upset.

I have been using Johnson for 20 years usually within the Waitrose stores. The last year the state of my suit trousers after being dry cleaned in Waitrose Oundle branch, has been nothing short of dreadful, tramlines creases, some look as if they haven’t even been dry cleaned, Waitrose couldn’t give a Fig! And Johnson think their above responding, to customer complaints, so you can both jog on I’ll be finding an alternative!! hopefully one that does the job, let’s face it £40 for 4 trousers, it’s not cheap. AVOID

I couldn't take my curtains to the usual Johnson Cleaners I use as their machine had broken. I then took the curtains (x3) to the branch in Morrisons (Goose Street). Given that they are black out curtains they had to send them off (I don't know where!). When I received the one of the curtains was stained at the top and really creased. However, they ruined a one of the double pinch pleat curtains. The plastic tracks in each pleat were loose and one had come out entirely. Cleaning cost £170 and the curtains ruined were over £900. I submitted a complaint and no one has responded. Would not recommend or use again.
Update: someone contacted me and I had to resubmit all photos and details I had already submitted to then be told I had to take the curtains into store. I am disabled and they are incredibly heavy. I submitted plenty of evidence to prove the incident happened. A company that not only ruins your items but is not disabled friendly. Avoid!

I had a suit cleaned and it turned out looking very smart. However when I questioned why the disposable plastic cover was intended as a bin liner for land fill, it was met with complete lack of interest. We have a world class recycling centre in Coventry and plastic covers such as these can be recycled. I explained this to the staff and suggested they take it up with their manager, Instead I was told to write to Mr. Timpson at the website. I will not be returning.

I've have just picked up my dress that is still soiled. I notified the person of the stain so that it could be treated. A note was not made on the ticket at the time and I was not told that it may not come out. I assumed therefore that this would be possible. My daughter picked up the dress and again nothing was mentioned. The stain is still there. A waste of £16. I do not recommend the Portishead Johnson Cleaners.

I brought a Burberry raincoat to Johnsons of Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire, UK. It was dry cleaned at a cost of £40. NONE of the stains had been removed. I was told the coat should not be washed and that individual stains could not be addressed separately, not even with water as this would leave 'water marks'. Really, on a RAIN coat? I declined Johnsons offering to wash the whole coat in a machine provided I took responsibility for any consequential mishap. Back home I addressed each individual stains myself with mild soap, water and a brush: all cleaned, no water marks. This expensive so called 'professional' cleaning was overcautious and ineffectual. Result: 0/10

Worst company for customer services. Patronizing admin staff, dirty washing that had to be rejected, costly, money grabbing company. Do not join.

Sandra did an excellent job repairing my cycling gilet. There was a small tear in the fabric, and the new stitching is strong and tidy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality repairs!

Handed over a few coats for cleaning and a leather restoration of a very sentimental jacket that belonged to my late mum. I'm so thrilled how it turned out and the gentleman who served me was so polite and friendly, definitely a asset to the team. Think his name was xavier? Thank you very much, xx

Great service and excellent job. I needed curtains dry cleaning. The staff at Altrincham Cheshire were professional and advised me how to achieve the best result. The job was done promptly and I was allowed to collect when the work in the house was complete. I recommend this service highly.

The staff in poynton johnsons are so miserable. They never smile , never greet you, and seem generally pissed off to be there! And wo betide you if you dare to ring the call for assistance bell on their desk if nobody's around! Dont work there if you hate it so much! I dread coming in here but its my closest EVRI drop off point so dont really have a choice. Dreadful place.

Absolutely brilliant service from the team in Stourbridge. I took my son's coat in for a zip repair and minor tear to the sleeve and the repair was undertaken whilst I waited. The seamstress explained to me clearly the options and what the best course of action would be and was generally super friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team here.

0/5 Stars - Avoid Johnsons Cleaning Services at All Costs!
I'm writing this review as a warning to others: *DO NOT* trust Johnsons Cleaning Services with your valuable or delicate items, especially not a couture wedding dress made from three layers of pure silk. (Georgette silk, Habotai silk and bamboo silk).
I made the grave mistake of entrusting them with my £8,000 hand made silk gown, and the result was nothing short of catastrophic.
The dress was ruined. The intricate lace was damaged, the delicate fabric was stained and discolored, and the overall structure of the gown was compromised. It's as if they had no idea how to handle such a precious and fragile item.
When dropping off the dress the lady told me they only ever deal with polyester dresses where they bung them in the washing machine and then steam them. This should have rang alarm bells and I should have left but she reassured me my dress would be sent to a specialist who can clean the dress back to a pristine state.
The level of incompetence and lack of care displayed by Johnsons Cleaning Services is staggering. When I collected the dress for the first time I was met with a note which explained how they couldn’t remove the markings. The marking were not there when I dropped the dress to them, Water stains to the middle layer of silk. The gentleman who served me told me that ‘the dress was sent to a third party who probably had no idea how to clean such delicate silk and therefore have made it worse, it was Johnson’s trying to save themselves some money’ !!
Outraged by the comment and lack of sympathy I refused to take home the dress and asked for the manager to call me.. They seemed completely unconcerned about the damage they had caused. They reassured me they would send the dress off for a second time to a different specialist who would try to remove the marks which the first specialist caused.
Collecting the dress the second time round - the marks had been removed but by no means was the dress to a professional clean. I accepted the dress back as I couldn’t bare it getting anymore ruined. - I was told the manager had been fired due to my dress damage and others.
If you value your belongings and want to avoid the stress and heartache that I experienced, *DO NOT* use Johnsons Cleaning Services. Their incompetence is not worth the risk.
*Update:* I've contacted Johnsons Cleaning Services via Reslover as the lady in the store refused a full refund. I have now received the cleaning service payment back. However not good enough for the amount of damage and upset they have caused! Buyer beware!

I have just collected my duvet cleaned by Johnstons and it looks exactly the same as the day I dropped it off. It doesn’t smell any fresher either, is this normal? Wasn’t exactly cheap at £27!! Won’t be using again!
