Practically a scam

Practically a scam!

Pretty much like everyone else, I can't redeem my points, have reached out over email, live chat and nothing came out of it, it is by far one of the worst experiences regarding online e-commerce I ever had, in fact it's so bad, I am thinking of deleting my PayPal account just because they own the service.

It's really a scam, I've accumulated points that I cannot redeem, and honestly if it is worth it I would've pushed for legal action.

Can't even sign in anymore because of the reCAPTCHA

Been using Honey for a few years now and it was always good to get the odd £10. voucher.

I keep getting emails telling me how well I am doing and I should see my balance.

3 weeks now of trying daily and I cannot get past the login because the reCAPTCHA just goes round and round.

Time to delete now I think - what used to be a really good idea is now ruined by ID checks.

They keep saying "gold" is active, but no redemption done

They keep saying "gold" is active, but i never receive any points. I used to get a lot, i got up to 20K, but once i redeemed these amounts, they likely shadow banned or something my account, because now everytime i try to redeem a new gift card, i get no confirmation mail. I've been trying to redeem my last 30$ with them since january. Everytime i contact chat support, they say a generic "hello" and never reply back. Through email i get no replies either.

It seems they somehow flagged my account on a blacklist or something. It's ridiculous, i just want my points back and never ever get back to these guys.

Avoid them! Much better options out there.

Firstly I have had no end of trouble actually logging into this website, despite the details being the same as Paypal. Finally got that resolved and I thought Oh I'll redeem some of my points for a gift card - BIG MISTAKE!!

Gift card has never arrived in my mailbox and 3 emails to 2 different Honey addresses have received a good stiff ignoring!!

Fortunetely I finally managed to logon to the chat and connect with what I assume to be a person. 10+ minutes later I got the voucher code I needed.

I find this app really useful for voucher codes but honestly I'm not sure I would bother redeeming points in the future. When it works its great, when it goes wrong be prepared to be determined or lose the will to live!! Awful customer service

I defy you to connect with Join Honey…

I defy you to connect with Join Honey about redeeming points or connecting your account to PayPal. It is impossible. Don't waste your time. I tried for months - even tried pressing PayPal for assistance. They simply have NO ONE in customer service. Period.

Are there better scammers than Honey!

One of the most frustrating companies I’ve ever dealt with, second only to Sports Direct. I chose to redeem my points for an Amazon Gift Card, only to receive one that had already been used. I reached out to them via email and chat repeatedly over a week, and they completely ignored me. Avoid these scammers at all costs.

I received a special offer through…

I received a special offer through honey to buy a samsung SSD. I purchased 2 in the same transaction expecting to get points to redeem through my paypal account. Of course the special was not automatically applied, and I had to chase down a rep through chats and email to get partial points. YES, not full points as agreed. I bought two items, they refused to give me credit for the 2nd item saying the offer only applies to one. DONT USE HONEY. As I learned afterward, many people have been scammed by them and their small print. I am just another sucker.

Stole Honey gold and sales commission

I’ve been using this app for around 3 years and have redeemed several gift cards without issue in the past. Over time, I carefully collected Honey Gold, aiming to redeem a $50 gift card. But recently, everything went wrong.

One day, I logged in to check my balance and saw that my pending Honey Gold had dropped to zero. Most of my rewards, which had been pending for months, were suddenly marked as “ineligible,” with no warning or explanation. This wasn’t a small amount—I had been saving for a long time.

I tried redeeming the remaining Gold for a gift card. The app said my card was “on the way” to my email, but I never received anything. No email, no code—nothing. Even worse, my Honey Gold wasn’t deducted, so it didn’t even process properly.

I reached out to their live chat support multiple times. Each time, after two or three messages, the agents simply stopped responding. No follow-up, no resolution—just silence. I also emailed their support team, but again, no reply.

I’ve been a loyal user for years and successfully redeemed rewards before, so this sudden issue feels like a major betrayal. My rewards were erased without any explanation, and their support has been completely unhelpful. It’s incredibly frustrating to waste all that time collecting Gold, only for it to disappear without any accountability.
