Joovv Product Scam- cheaply made junk
Over the last few years I have purchased 2 Joovv products- 1 Joovv Light - Max / Combo for $2,695.00, and a Joovv Red Light Mini. Very shortly after purchasing my first Joovv product, the Mini, the on/off switch broke. Being that this product is supposed to last a lifetime, and with a price that matches, one would think that such integral parts would not break so easily. I treat my Joovv products like they are made of glass by the way, so this was through no fault of my own. The part literally fell off as I turned the switch on one day. When I contacted Joovv, they said they would not pay to have it shipped back, but they would repair it since it was under warranty. So I paid the expensive shipping fee to have the cheap part repaired. Then, in February 2020, as I was turning on my large combo unit to use, the on/off switch broke! I was surprised, because this was the very same part that broke on my other unit! Joovv would not speak to me over the phone, and sent me a few copy and paste emails saying they could do nothing for me since my lifetime "Legacy" Joovv product was not under warranty. So, if I want it fixed now, I have to pay to have this huge 100 lb machine shipped to California in order to get a cheap $2 part fixed. One would think Emily, "Quality Control" manager, would understand my frustration with the situation: purchasing 2 very expensive products that are supposed to last a lifetime, and having the same cheap part on BOTH products break through no misuse on my part. Since I can't get this part anywhere else, and I am not going to pay to have it repaired by the company that should be repairing it gratis in the first place, my $2,596.00 machine will now be one of the things that goes into the garage never to be used again. What a waste of money. At this point I can see that Melissa and Scott, co-founders of Joovv, do not stand by their products. I am very disappointed in their poor customer service, but more importantly, their clear lack of integrity. Unfortunately, like so many companies in the Beauty industry, Joovv is more interested in profits than "health" or its own integrity as a business. As a side note... When the on/off switch broke off in feb 2020 rendering my Red Light unit unusable, I got a $29/month UV-free tanning salon membership. The difference in my skin was night and day in terms of the effect the salon's Red Light Therapy machine had on my skin as opposed to my Joov at-home unit. I have now come to believe that Joovv operates, essentially, like many scam businesses by manufacturing cheaply made products and selling them at exorbitant prices.
Awful customer support (Jane).
Awful customer support (Jane).
The quality of the products is ok, but after you put your credit card details on their website expect NO HELP WHATSOEVER WITH WHATEVER PROBLEM THAT MAY ARISE. They have a fine print to exclude their responsibility from everything and anything and they are not accommodating at all. After 8 back and forts emails with "Jane", you gain nothing and lost tons of time. After all our exchanges I asked where I could rate the products and their customer service. Her reply was : "You might want to watch for a post purchase email for an opportunity to leave a customer review. All the best, Jane."
It's 2020. You simply cannot afford to ignore your customers anymore. I was a big fan, now I am not.
Consumer beware!!
I bought the joov mini and joov go. They both did not last a year before they broke. Customer service sucks!! They had a condescending attitude and we’re extremely rude!!!
Don’t buy this piece of crap. Don’t waste your money on any of their products and look elsewhere! Unless you want junk? High cost for products that don’t work and last a decent amount of time!!!! Never again do I want to deal with this company!!!!

Had to pay over £100 for customs which wasn't obvious at all during the purchase as the company claim.
They forgot to add the UK cable with the device so now 2 weeks later I've still been unable to use the product. The company refuse to pass a message to fedex ie to leave this with a neighbour.
The product shocked me
The product shocked me. I asked for a refund. They let me know that it was 2 days past the 14 day return period. They wanted to just have me ship mine in so they could fix it. I said I wasn’t excited about trying that since I had a bad experience. And they refused to give me a refund. Not super happy with their customer service. I spent a lot of money to not be treated with curtesy.
No thanks
Expect +32% increase in price due to VAT/ customs. If it doesn't make sense, good luck sorting it out with Fedex. Good luck getting your parcel also (ever heard of Fedex lying about their delivery attempts?). The whole experience purchasing a Joovv has been a disaster. There seems to be a lot of paid internet placement coming from them.
DO NOT BUY THIS
DO NOT BUY THIS! IT ARRIVED BROKEN ! AND, THEY WILL NOT PAY TO SHIP IT BACK. THEY ARE ZERO HELP. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP. I PAID OVER A $1000 TO NOW DEAL WITH GETTING A HUGE MACHINE BACK AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT THE SHIPPING.
This company is a rip off
This company is a rip off. The assembly is far more difficult that they show. And while the customer service department returns your emails, they do not care about your issues or trying to resolve them.
It is the worst $4k that I have spent.

Caustic experiences with service…
Caustic experiences with service representatives...
It's all in writing as it was from chat and email.
Joovv representatives fully ignored questions and copied/pasted answers repeatedly, like bots, but then became short-tempered by saying 'as mentioned' repeatedly and even were condescending.
It's as if they need to use Joovv to improve their disposition, or if they are using it, which they admitted to, it's not working.
I later asked, in a new chat session, about the specifics related to wearability/durability. Again, no answer to the specifics, copy/paste of a link previously sent, and a pat answer about a warranty.
Preposterous to assume they'll actually stand by the warranty and process such with ease given they can't bother to answer basic questions pre-sale or attempt to do so with kindness.
Reading the other reviews here is truly helpful and confirming.
I have no intention of buying from this company that abuses so readily via testy, arrogant, emotionally-outbursting employees.
Extremely disappointed with the…
Extremely disappointed with the customer service and I very much feel ripped off. I bought their device JOOVV GO and tried it 2/3 of times. The device caused me physical discomfort and shakiness so I got in touch with their customer service 18 days after the purchase, to return it.
I have been told that their policy is to return within 14 days and despite describing my side effects the co-founder didn't make any effort to help with my case. This is a clear statement that they only care about money, 4 days difference from their policy is nothing, so any decent brand would help customers and accept the return, apologising if their device could have harmed you.
They don't care anymore, the more disappointing thing is that they sell devices that have impact on people health.
I am very disappointed with the low level of the service considering the reputation of the brand, so I definitely wouldn't recommend them. Considering the way they treat customers, I wouldn't trust the safety of their products either.
$4400 mistake
Poor customer service, poor workmanship (stand), poor assembly instructions, not practical to use. I purchased a Joovv quad with a stand, and it took 3 weeks for all of the parts to arrive. Putting it together took significant time and effort (many tiny screws with blunt tips) and the written instructions were not clear or detailed enough (had to watch videos). Part of the stand was rusted and corroded upon arrival, and some of the screws did not screw all the way in (a handyman checked my work and commented that it was shoddy construction). After assembling, I was fairly committed to keeping it, assuming it did what was claimed, because it would take significant time effort to take it apart and repackage all the pieces AND costly to ship it back. That said, after trying it out for 4.5 weeks (took me a week to assemble, then I was out of town for 3 weeks over the holidays), I felt little if any benefits, and my husband and other family members had no desire to use it. ***I have owned a Relax 95% FIR sauna for 4 days and already have seen more benefits from that than the Joovv, and my husband loves the sauna*** It is impractical to stand naked in front of the Joovv for 20 minutes per day, especially if you don't feel any benefits, plus there is a grease/petrol smell blowing at you every time you use it. The quad also has a large vertical gap (no LEDs) right in the middle where you see a shadow on your body and are not getting light therapy. I tried to return it today, but it's been 65 days, and they won't make an exception to their 60-day return policy, even though I have hardly used it and told them I would carefully repackage it in all the packaging, and pay the shipping myself because it "wouldn't be fair to other customers." Apparently I am not the only one who has asked to return it shortly after the 60 day return window (funny because all they have on their website is 5 star reviews...). $4400 mistake.
I purchased the Joovv and about 30 days…
I purchased the Joovv and about 30 days of having it, it kept shutting off. The company said it needed an update and I would have to pay the money to ship it back to them to get the update. The cost to ship it back is anywhere from $75 to $100. Even though their warranty says that if something is wrong with the product you have to pay to ship it back.,nothing in any of their literature says that this piece of equipment periodically needs update. I wouldn't give this company stars at all but you have to just be able to write a review
