The UKs leading Adult Tricycle Brand. Jorvik Tricycles is born out of love. When James Walker’s father, Stuart, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a tricycle was the best option for him to continue cycling. However, the market was limited, and the choices that did exist were outdated and expensive. The first ever Jorvik Tricycles trike was built to help James’ dad continue doing what he loves and so that mission continues – now focusing on supporting other people and their families who are looking for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing and affordable tricycle to help them keep their independence.

I visited Southampton showroom ,every thing is quality
the service the product and importantly the advice given by Terry on all models.
I would say that I felt I was buying a quality car and came away knowing I had made the right decision.
many thanks.

The item ordered was sent very promptly and arrived in good condition the next day.
Not so satisfied with the help desk response with no apparent suggestions to solve why my trike is non operational at present. I am now taking my trike to an independent repairer in Longtown as my confidence in Jorvik is somewhat dented.

Excellent visit . Friendly helpful staff . Great selection of cycles on display. And after finally getting something that allows me to once again enjoy cycling , from your store you got one very satisfied customer. Thank you

The pre-ordering service was superb. A whole series of my questions were answered in detail and I was signposted to an ex-display model at a significant discount. The sales person I spoke to also took me through the VAT deduction and identified the fact that I would be eligible. He even did that bit of the paperwork for me.
It went downhill a bit after that. The delivery process only seemed to start when I emailed to ask what was happening. I was directed to the Shop app for tracking, which was not much help at all, so I then went direct to the TPN Connect (courier website). They only seemed to get into gear when I rang someone at Jorvik to (again) ask what was happening. I was assured that the courier would ring to confirm a delivery date and time. It didn't - and the bike was dumped in my drive whilst I was out, although I was able to talk to the courier on Ring and give him instructions. Not very good at all and I was considering bringing the rating down to 4 stars as a result, but relented.
On the plus side, the trike seems to be very well designed and built. I have only done 50 miles as the weather has been awful, but it's done everything I required. Jorvik very quickly supplied a missing cap cover - well done!
Slight reservations:
1. The motor sometimes surges more than it reasonably should. Not much of a problem for me as I'm used to electric bikes but maybe even dangerous for a novice.
2. Some of the instructions don't seem to refer to this bike, so I'm still puzzling over e.g. the workings of the digital display and I still haven't found out how to work the light.
3. The control cables hang very low down and seem quite vulnerable.

Had a visit for a demo with James yesterday in Eastleigh, he was super helpful and had a lot of patience with all my questions.
The centre is well set out with a small track to give you a basic feel of the handling whilst all the features and functions are well explained.
The trike I specifically travelled to see was the FRELSI as it looked to finally meet all my criteria, it was so good I put my order in and can't wait for it to arrive!
I personally wished it included onboard indicators but they do have some additional ones you can place for £30ish which I added, and the estimated delivery date is almost a month longer than the dispatch advertised online but these are very slight issues and so far my experience has been exemplary.

Bike eventually arrived although no prior warning from delivery company very nearly resulted in a further delay as I was just on my way out when lorry arrived.
The bike was well packaged and fully assembled as requested.
Personally speaking I think when you are purchasing something for close on £3k a follow up courtesy call from Jorvik would be a good idea.
Would recommend The Drakkar trike.

James gave me the confidence that I needed to ride a trike. I was a little apprehensive as I had fallen from my previous 2 wheeled bike and broken my leg. I wanted to continue cycling but without damaging my leg further. The Jorvik is the perfect solution. The attention that James gave me in making my decision was excellent. I met a young lad from the York office (sorry I don’t remember his name) who took me round the track initially and he was very impressive and knowledgeable too.
Altogether a very positive experience… and I’ve purchased a Jorvik trike😃

Both the girls on reception were very helpful as was Sam who sourced the parts I needed. He despatched the parts very quickly and kept me informed. All in all the service was faultless.
I have had my trike for over two years and as I suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, it has been a great asset.

I visited the Southampton Jorvik Tricycle showroom and had a great experience. Brooklyn and James were incredibly polite, helpful and informative. Brooklyn asked a few questions so I could test ride the best tricycle for my needs. I tried three tricycles but it was the first one that I had a test ride on, the Rida x, that I purchased. It was such fun experiencing the freedom of a power assisted ride and the stability on wheels that I need. The Rida x has everything that I need together with a great design. I had been worried about riding a tricycle but the worry left as I whizzed safely round the test track.
The showroom was easy the get to, plenty of parking, always a worry when mobility isn't great, and the showroom was clean, bright and inviting. Overall a great experience and I totally recommend Jorvik Tricycles.

I cannot recommend Jorvik Tricycles of York highly enough. From my first enquiry through to receiving my tricycle, the whole experience was outstanding.
The team were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and patient, taking the time to answer every question and making sure I chose the right tricycle for my needs. Nothing was too much trouble, and their customer service was exceptional throughout.
The quality of the tricycle is fantastic—it’s well built, comfortable to ride and has given me a real sense of confidence and freedom. It’s clear that Jorvik genuinely cares about its customers and takes pride in both its products and aftercare.
If you’re considering buying a tricycle, don’t hesitate to choose Jorvik Tricycles. You won’t find a better combination of quality, expertise and customer service. Thank you to everyone at Jorvik for such a wonderful experience!

I just wanted to take the time to say I can’t recommend Jorvik Tricycles enough.
From my first enquiry to purchasing the tricycle - they couldn’t do enough.
I didn’t really know anything about the tricycles or whether it was the right purchase and they answered every question I had and made me feel very reassured.
The service was first class and we love our tricycle ❤️
Thank you Jorvik

Although the staff are perfectly polite and helpful I have lost trust in this company. At the time of an over the phone purchase I asked if they charged for a 100% build. They told me explicitly that they do not charge for fully building the bike but just £80 for a large palette to send the fully built bike on. That is the only charge. However on the receipt it shows built/delivered against the £80 which is misleading as it makes it look like the £80 is for building the bike and delivering it. The bike was not suitable and returned to Jorvik. They then held back my £80 outgoing palette/delivery charge of £80. This was a standard bike sent via standard delivery but just on a larger palette.
They seem to believe that a fully built bike is a personalised or customised bike. It isn’t. It’s a standard bike put together in full.
They also emailed me with the following - I also note your statement that you have raised a chargeback and intend to leave a one-star review. Given that this matter is currently the subject of an ongoing dispute, this could reasonably be viewed as an attempt to apply pressure whilst the matter remains under consideration.
However Jorvik have already dismissed my complaint by saying - As our position has been fully explained, I do not intend to enter into further correspondence regarding this matter.
I cannot recommend this company. I returned the palette back with the bike on it it and the law says the company cannot refuse to refund the outgoing postage delivery charges. In this case the postage was the £80 for the large palette.
THE UK LAW IS CLEAR -
Only custom-made, bespoke, or personalized goods are specifically exempt from the standard 14-day "cooling-off" cancellation period where the retailer must offer a full refund including original delivery/postage. Jorvik Tricycles does advertise nor sell custom-made, bespoke or personalised tricycles.
Custom-made means an item is produced, built, or designed specifically for a particular person or purpose, rather than being mass-produced. The tricycle was not produced specifically for me as an individual it was a standard off the peg mass produced tricycle
Bespoke is often used in the UK for formal wear and highly individualized tailoring or made to measure. The tricycle was not requested to be made to measure
Personalized means tailored exactly to your preferences, measurements, or unique needs. The tricycle was not made to my unique needs
Under UK consumer law, combining standard, off-the-shelf components to fulfill a request does not make an item "bespoke" or "personalised". Consequently, customers retain full statutory cancellation and return rights
To legally qualify as bespoke or personalised under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods must be “uniquely made” to a consumer's exact specifications and be unresalable to others. In this case Jorvik tricycles can resell this tricycle without any loss whatsoever
Assembling a tricycle from a fixed menu of standard, off-the-shelf components or building a mass produced standard off the shelf Jorvik tricycle at a customer’s request does not constitute a customised, bespoke or personalised service because Jorvik can easily resell the standard parts.
Following Jorvik’s response here my review remains the same as this is my true account. I remain distrustful of this company and a customer needs to trust a company when parting with a lot of money for an electric tricycle. That is what counts at the end of the day when making a choice as to whether to buy goods unseen from a company. I can not recommend this company.

Service ok, but had to get a new battery - the other was less than 2 years old. Took ages.

Hi, the bike I bought arrived fully built which was great the battery fully charged which was great 👍 this is a great bike I should have had sooner, the bike takes a big getting used to but keep speed down and learn about the bike. The roads here I live are terrible a disgrace but the bike handles it well, we have a park ten minutes away I go there the bike has plenty admirers so keep up the good work 👏 the norse connection is how I found the site on the Internet, a great big thanks, Roy the ebiker
Great service helping me to purchase what I needed.
