My wife and I visited the Southampton…
My wife and I visited the Southampton branch and met the lovely Terry. We both have mobility issues and haven't ridden a bike for a few years. Terry was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind giving us the confidence to try out a trike. We came away purchasing 2 Vandra X trikes and can't wait for delivery and to gain back the thrill and enjoyment that cycling brings. Highly recommend this company.

A recent visit Southampton Jorvik Centre
I recently visited Southampton Jorvik centre, with my wife, to test drive and possibly purchase a tricycle. I met Terry Woolf who talked through my experience and requirements. I explained to Terry that I was 85 and had an electric bike for the last 5 years which I actually loved. Within the last year I had kidney cancer and surgery to remove a kidney. Fortunately i am now cancer free but have a fractured spine which makes walking difficult and I am concerned about my balance. I decided that perhaps an electric tricycle was the solution. I told Terry that I mainly used cycle tracks with some off-road near where I live. He showed me the range of Jorvik tricycles and under his supervision and guidance I tried several on the excellent track at Southampton. I soon got used to riding a tricycle and felt very stable going around the test track. With Terry's expert knowledge and experience to advise me, I chose a Vandra X as the most suitable model for my requirements. I really appreciate Terry's help and guidance in riding andd chosing a tricycle which I have now ordered and look forward to delivery at the end of the month.

The product is generally in good…
The product is generally in good condition, but during demonstration days, I think you should definitely specify the range the product can achieve separately for the lowest and highest speeds.
(For example: 60 miles in Eco mode, 20 miles in Boot mode.) This is because using this product in Boot mode is very comfortable and enjoyable; for me, Eco mode is too slow, as the product does have a certain weight.)
In addition, a lightweight accessory that covers the top should be developed to ensure the product can be used more comfortably in wet weather without compromising its structure.
I saw the product in question on your website, but I was referring to the canopy that protects the rider from the rain whilst cycling. (Rain Canopy)

You make a helpful point regarding clearer information about how battery range varies between assistance settings. Actual range can also be affected by terrain, rider weight, tyre pressure, weather conditions and the level of assistance used.

Good experience. Trike is great. I use it for birdwatching around my local reservoir and it carries me telescope and equipment (and me!) very well.

Well-built, solid trike
The trike is great and the service we had was also excellent; the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the track which allowed me to try out the trike is perfectly flat and smooth. It would be helpful to have a more realistic trial track which includes potholes and cambers! In terms of providing an honest experience and allowing someone to know what to expect when they go out on the road, this would be so useful. However, that said, the trike is solid, well-built and I can see many happy rides ahead of me :)

Terry was brilliant
Terry was brilliant, he was very welcoming and easy to talk to and got right away what I needed from a tricycle for it to be compatible to both my physical issues and style of riding, Terry gave a detailed and patient explanation of how everything worked on the tricycle and stayed close at all times as I rode around the test track , I felt completely confident, relaxed and capable to ride the tricycle even though its been years because of my health that I've been able to ride and that's all thanks to Terry's support. He was even able to make friends with our nervous dog Rosie so seriously what more could you want.
The facilities were of a good standard too , plenty of parking, toilets (incl. disabled) tea/coffee, good sized track and all very clean.
All in all a great experience and I can't wait for my tricycle to arrive so I can get more freedom back. Well done Jorvik.

Building confidence
My experience of visiting Jorvik Chester was very positive. Jorge and James could not have been more helpful, I have an injury which impacts my left arm, hand and balance I am no longer able to steer a bicycle safely. I tried the RIDA Go which took a while to steer but Jorge was really patient and helped me to gain confidence on the practice track. The advice and service was excellent, a slight issue with delivery, but this was handled well and resolved in a timely way. James made adjustments I needed with no extra cost and I am keen to get cycling once again.
