Everything went as it was supposed to, easy pick up and drop off, might have been because it was a quiet time of year but in all I would definitely use just go again.

Fantastic service at great prices very helpful I will definitely be booking again I would give 5⭐️ but they was 1 issue with the hot water not staying hot in the Campervan everything else was great

Said they were open. Drove over 40 miles to see a motorhome but were turned away but rude staff saying they were busy and we could come again later. Do NOT come again later.

I hired a campervan from Just Go for two weeks starting 12 November. While the experience began positively — with responsive pre-booking communication and a clear, friendly handover — things quickly went downhill once the trip started.

As a first-time campervan renter, I relied heavily on Just Go to provide a vehicle that was genuinely fit for purpose for a two-week winter trip. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

The van supplied was very basic and lacked several features commonly shown in Just Go’s marketing imagery (awning, oven, microwave, toaster). While the company later stated these are not included in the specific model I booked, this was not made clear at the time and was disappointing when collecting the vehicle — especially when better-equipped vans were visible on site.

The biggest issue was gas. The van was supplied with a single small 6kg LPG bottle, which ran out after just a few days. As heating and cooking both rely entirely on gas, this caused significant stress. I spent a full day trying to find an LPG refill station in an off-season location, and as a result I avoided using the heater properly and slept in a very cold van on multiple nights.

What concerns me most is the lack of support. On the day I ran out of gas, I phoned the support line and was told someone would call me back to arrange a solution. I followed up again several hours later and was reassured a call was coming. No one ever contacted me. Being left completely unsupported in winter raises serious concerns about how Just Go would respond to a more critical issue.

In their reply, Just Go explained that renters are expected to refill gas every 3–5 days in winter and that this applies even to larger vehicles. If this is the case, it should have been clearly explained at handover, particularly to a first-time renter. It wasn’t. The expectation that customers simply “figure this out” on the road is unreasonable.

The company response does acknowledge poor communication and incorrect advice from staff, which I appreciate. However, no compensation was offered for the lost time, discomfort, or lack of support experienced during the hire.

Overall, this felt like a missed opportunity for good customer care during what should have been a quiet time of year. With clearer guidance, better vehicle matching, and reliable support, this could have been a very different experience.

I would recommend Just Go only to experienced campervan users who already understand gas systems and winter travel — not to first-time renters looking for reassurance and support.

My wife and I were very happy with the whole experience of renting a motorhome for 5 weeks from "Just go". Advance booking & payment was easy; a friendly welcome and hand-over at Redhill Farm; the vehicle was clean and modern; the hand-back was quick and easy.
There was slight damage on a bumper bar during our rental, but I was charged only 10 pounds! (Amazing, I was scared I'd be charged hundreds.) Indeed, the nice lady at hand-back refunded my 50 pounds that I'd prepaid for a easy Drop-Off service since I had filled the gas bottle, water tank, AdBlue and diesel tank myself (I'd forgotten I prepaid)!

Booking, pick-up and drop-off experience was A-one. Also very helpful staff in Edinburgh Branch who went out of their way to assist us planning our entire trip by providing us with hints, web-sites and maps which really helped our forward planning and also during our trip. Well done and thank you to these two very special ladies.

Van was fine.
Negative points
No door mats for in and out.
No baskets to stop crockery etc crashing around in the cupboards.
Pillows were the cheapest available. We purchased what was missing and left it in the van. Hope the next customer benefited!
The most annoying aspect was a fleet manager talking box that commented in a young patronising voice so accelerating on a motorway slip lane to match the speed of the traffic you would be told to “go steady”. Waiting for the gate to open at the depot we were told penalty warning and then penalty issued. It was frustrating. Wouldn’t rent from them again unless the spy in the cab was disabled

Excellent motorhome, clear and well presented information. Highly recommend.

Booking the vehicle was fairly painless as was picking up and dropping off of the vehicle, staff was helpful.
Vehicle performed as expected, no problems.

Staff were v friendly both times of hiring. The coupling for the electrical switch for the motor to the water pump. Best to get full insurance to avoid accidental mirrors or windscreen damage. Family of 4 or 5 staying in the motorhome.

Easy booking, quick answers, fair price. Remote location, like most such outfits. New motorhome in good condition. Check-In and Check-out rather less efficient as everyone comes at more or less the same time and there is limited staff to handle everyone, causing quite a wait. Why not allow for later returns when you can't handle them all at 10 am. Selling levelling blocks no one is going to take home with them rather than include them as standard equipment seems like a bit of a rip-off.

Excellent service just the right balance between patronising too much detail and just enough so our holiday went well.

I’m writing to express my concerns regarding a recent experience with the motorhome I hired. During a planned four-day trip with my kids, we encountered several issues that led us to cut the trip short to only three days. The heater was not working, and there was no electrical power in the motorhome, making it too cold and uncomfortable to sleep. Additionally, the navigation system and radio were also non-functional.

Given that this motorhome is brand new, I expected it to have been thoroughly inspected before rental. It is concerning that these issues were not identified beforehand, especially since thorough checks are conducted before departure.

Furthermore, I feel that my case has not been handled with the level of care and attention that I expected. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to these issues, and I am seeking compensation for the inconvenience caused.

We were able to rent the exact motorhome we want. This was a trail and huge learning curve before we buy a home and travel extensively for the next 3 to 4 years.

Price was right. Disappointed in the lack of a TV. The last few times we rented there was always a TV, they don't work all the time in all locations but when they do it was nice. Apparently too many people complained about them not working, due mainly to not understanding how an antenna works, so the company decided to just remove them all.
The driving experience is as too be expected but the auto start /stop function and the constant driver fatigue warnings after an hour or so of driving are a distraction. Too many controls are via touch screen as well which forces you to take your eyes off the road while to try and figure out where to push. Again, a distraction not a help.

We've been given a fairly new motorhome, 24 plate with just over 17000 miles on the clock which was in good condition and didn't create any nasty surprises along the way. We've been in Lake District for almost a week and it was exactly how we expected, we had the flexibility to move around but in the same time we had the comfort of the motorhome. That being said I was disappointed to learn that the collection time is between 14:00/16:00 and the return time is between 08:00/10:00 in the morning, this meant that the day we collected the camper we went home and loaded our staff, by the time we've been good to go was already late evening so we decided to sleep at home and hit the road early in the morning, the same was on our return, we came back Friday evening , cleaned the camper ang get it ready for next day return, we paid for one week but two nights we haven't used the motorhome due to odd collection and return times.
I guess that's not a problem when you hire for a longer period like a month, as two nights don't make a huge difference, but that's not the case for shoter periods.
