Terrible company that steals money from…
Terrible company that steals money from your credit card! I picked up the vehicle which was in good condition, then the following morning I had an invoice sent to my email stating I had been charged €45 for a traffic fine from 2 weeks previous, how when I had the vehicle less than 12hrs?! I also then received a charge of €180 for roadside recovery on the same day. I had never used roadside recovery?! I called over 20 times and sent several emails to no response. I ended up having to drive back to the opposite side of the island to resolve. I was told it would be raised by the head office and I would be contacted. I received no contact and had to drive back the following day again. I was told the two charges would be refunded. Still have not had a refund. No apology and terrible customer service, no explanation why I had been charged for these fees. Finally on my last day I returned the car. I was told everything was fine and I would not get any further charges. Just as I returned back to UK I have received another invoice for €45 for what? I have no idea?? I’m have now been emailing and calling but no response. I don’t think I will see any of this money again. A very dishonest company that are stealing money from customer credit cards and then not contacting back. Do not use just because then are slightly cheaper, go with another!
Total Scam, don't use at all costs !!!
I am surprised that this company is even legal. Their strategy is to attract customers with extremely low fares and then make exorbitant profits by charging the customers or their insurance for minor damages.
We picked up a small Fiat500 on the island of Mallorca, which already had a small dent above the passenger seats window upon pick up. Now I know that this dent very likely resulted from a car burglary as this is common practice on the island. No warning was given to us by the personal when picking up the car.
A day later we parked the car while taking a walk on the east-side of the island. I left my wallet with 350€ cash inside the glove compartment and locked the car, which I now know was quite naiv. After returning to the car after about 2 hours, I opened my wallet realising that the cash was gone. There were no marks of forceful entry on the car, which means that either a professional had to get access to the car or someone who tracked the car and had a spare key.
The next day we parked the car for 2-3 hours in the city of Soller. When returning to the car both windows were pushed down and there was a new dent above the drivers window probably caused by some tool to push down the window. As we learned from our mistake the day before we luckily did not leave anything in the car. We reported both incidences to the local police.
When returning the car a day alter, the K10 employees were extremely rude to us and showed no understanding in our complains that we would at least have expected a warning as car burglaries are common practices on the island as we have been told by the police and multiple other sources in the meantime . I also have never seen a rental car company searching so desperately for minor scratches and damages with the intension to put these into the customer's shoes (for the record, the names of the customer service representatives were Jaime Garcia and Ramirez Agustin). For the small dent above the drivers door we ultimately got charged with 430€ !!!
Of course I can not prove this but let me say that I am at least suspicious about a possible involvement of the company or some of their employees in the burglaries. Otherwise I can not explain how the car was opened without any traces on the first day and why both windows where pushed down the second day but only a new dent appeared on the previously not damaged drivers door and not the already similarly damaged passenger door.
I reported the incidence on multiple websites and can only urge any car rental platforms to take this company off their listings as these practices can not be in the interest of the customer nor the insurances that have to cover the possibly purposely inflicted damages. Some investigation into this by the local police would be appropriate but I doubt this is going to happen.
Save yourself some money and stress and avoid this company at all costs !!!
Customerfriendly company
Customerfriendly company! Rented a car for a week. They don’t try to sell you extra assurances. They don’t look at little excisting scratches. Only when you real damage the car, you will have an issue. They didn’t check the car with a magnifying glass when returning and checked the refuelling and that was it! Perfect! This is how it should go!
Not really customer friendly and organised.
When we arrived the car we reserved online was not available yet. We could wait, but they had no idea how long, or we could play extra for an upgrade. We got a key and the car is over there. When we drove for 5 minutes we noticed that the tyres needed to be inflated. The gages where in mph is stead of kmh (what all signs were in). And if we needed to break we heard metal screaching.
TAKE PICTURES!!!
The car they gave me was all banged up with dents and scratches. Ultimately I was fine with it since it still drove fine. Make sure to take pictures of EVERYTHING inside and outside before leaving the lot. When I returned the car and got the bill, they charged me 300 Euros saying I damaged the car. I immediately called and then emailed pictures (with date/time stamp of when I picked up car) that clearly showed all the damage already there. They wrote back within a few minutes saying they were mistaken and reversed the charge. Right. What a scam.
K-10 are breaking the law
K-10 are breaking the law, scamming and show abusive behaviour to their customers.
During our hire with K-10 our car had an engine fault and the engine blew up and left us with a car kicking out black smoke and without power. This car had not been checked or serviced as it was clearly unsafe to drive and left us is a traumatic situation and ruined our holiday. We called K-10 who told us we would not pay for a rescue truck and would not pay if the car was fault due to engine problems.
K-10 then left us on the side of the road for 2 hours in the heat, refusing to answer our numerous phone calls for updates, even when online they would choose to ignore us.
We were finally picked up and given a new hire care, where again told we would not pay for engine issues/repairs or the rescue truck. Our new car was given to us with flat tyres and no water.
The next day K-10 tried (with out discussion or proof) to take out £1200 from a card they DID NOT have the rights to have on their system as it was not used for deposit. When the money bounced back they continued to take out more money in £1200, £500, £200 each time, trying to steal money off a bank card. This is against the LAW for a company to try to take different amounts of money from a card they had not been given rights to use and to try different amounts without giving us a clear break down.
Again K-10 ignored our phone calls and would give us not explanation as to why they are trying to take money from us.
We arrived at the office hours early on our drop off after talking to an employee who told us a manger would meet us to discuss those issues. No manager ever arrived, we waited 3 hours.
The employee Mohammed Benfares then tried to charge us £180 for the rescue truck (again we had been told we would not pay this, to which we have proof of voice recording from previous conversations)
We explained politely how we would not be paying this after everything we have been through and K-10 continually going against their word to claim as much money as possible. He then told us he could not close our account/contract until his manager was in tomorrow and told us to come back tomorrow- knowing full well we had a flight to catch and had already requested and been told we could speak to a manager. Mohammed Benfares then became verbal aggressive towards us (all captured of voice record) where he shouted at us to leave his office and that we were ‘drama queens’ shouting on repeat ‘get out get out’
I can only explain this company to be disgusting. The service we endured is repulsive and they are scamming people out of money by trying to not give deposits back/refunded and trying to take money from situations where they are putting lives at danger from their crap cars.
We have expressed to K-10 we will be taking legal action for what they have done, but again, no manager has responded.
Avoid
They tried to charge 1200 euros to my credit card for a deposit. When I declined they charged me 100 euros for an extra insurance, even though I had one “through the broker (doyouspain)”. Also doyouspain never mentioned that pick up after 8pm would be charged with another 40 euros, and k10 would not budge on this.
Also I asked for them to take the sticker off as I was driving at night and in general did not want to announce that I am a tourist but they would not.
The car was old and smelled bad and staff was not helpful. Needless to say I would recommend avoiding this company (and doyouspain who should have made the terms clear).
This was one the worst car rental…
This was one the worst car rental experiences I ever had. First of all, locating them was hard as hell. That was not made any easier by the fact that they wouldn't pick up any of their 4 phone lines which they seem to have for the sake of it. Then, there was a lot of queueing to reach their desk and enquire about our 2 rented cars. There, another farcical phase started where the sales assistant there looked totally out of her depth in every sense: bad communication skills, struggled with IT and couldn't handle basic ID documents and payment methods. To make bad things worse, the car we had booked was super dirty and damaged so we were given another type of car which was not to our liking as we booked and payed for an SUV so we wanted an SUV. She couldn't even release the replacement car for over 20 minutes stating that the computer said "NO". All in all, we got in our rental car more than 1 hour after we exited the airport terminal and that is unacceptable. I'm about to pursue my statutory right but please avoid this company like the plague.
Probably the worst Ibiza car rent…
Probably the worst Ibiza car rent service, stay away from them.
They gave us a car with maintenance expired since 2000km, when an engine fault occurred, due to a bad battery cable, and our car stopped they sent us assistance but then they took 122€ from our credit card to pay for it, without asking our permission, even if the fault was obviously caused by lack of vehicle maintenance. During covid-19 emergency, employees where not wearing masks (or keeping them under the nose).
Ibiza is full of good car rent service, I highly recommend to go anywhere else.
Never use this Company
Never use this Company. They just charge the deposit on the credit card in stead of reserving it on the credit card. They then don't pay it back until 3 weeks later. In the meantime we have paid additional "non sterling" fees for the transaction that should never have happened and lost money on the currency conversion. At the end with all the additional costs, we paid £70 more than was necessary.
They don't speak English so pretend that they can't help. Worst Car hire experience ever! They also charge for out of hour collection and drop off. Be aware!!!!
Avoid them!!!
They took my deposit without saying anything,None of them speak english it was quite hard to deal with them. There was a scratch on the car hardly could see, cost me 400.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
I rented a car for 6 days, from the rental office they sent me to walk to wick up the car outside of the central ibiza (10 min walk) and there they said I can pic up the car at the end of a road (5 min walk) ..actually I had to find myself in a supermarket's car park (looking for the plate number for 10 min).
The seats were salt stained when I picked up the car, so I didn't really care about putting a towel under me when I drive. When I returned the car they charged me with 100 euros because the seats where wet and will leave stain.
Very rude complain solving, had to call the police to give me a claim form. Police is useless, they left after without even saying bye.
All I can say just avoid them!!
