TERRIBLE service

TERRIBLE service. We were told we would receive our door (which was fully paid for in advance) during week 41.

On the Wednesday of week 41, with still not communication given to us, we emailed customer support and they advised the package is with carrier and will be delivered this week…it of course, was not.

The following week we emailed again, and even went physically to the office, and the response was “it’s with the external provider”, and still no update on delivery time, and NO COMMUNICATION unless we hassled to follow up.

I then proceeded to send an official and formal complain accordingly, on 21 October. I was advised I would receive a response within 3 days. Surprise surprise, 2 weeks later, after numerous follow ups, I still have not received a response to my complaint.

The door eventually came 2 weeks later than it was meant to, after we had to keep workers on hold for weeks due to the not knowing when the door will come, when eventually they had to cancel due to the wait.

Even after the door arrived, I kept following up for my complaint, to no avail. Horrible service.

Beste Luke, bedankt voor uw review. Het is momenteel erg druk bij onze klantenservice afdeling. Hierdoor is onze reactietijd langer dan normaal. Onze klantenservice medewerkers doen hun uiterste best om elke mail zo snel mogelijk te beantwoorden. Wij vinden dit - net zoals u - erg vervelend.

Wij vinden het ook heel vervelend dat de bestelde deuren een langere levertijd hadden dan verwacht. Ik zie in ons systeem dat uw deuren inmiddels zijn geleverd. Wij hopen dat u desondanks veel plezier zult hebben van de deuren.

No help when it comes to repairs.

We had a wonderful bedroom closet built in 2008. We haven't had any problems till one of the components broke: the front of one of the drawers came off. I contacted the service dept, but because they have changed suppliers, there is nothing they can do to repair the drawer. There is no possibility of replacing the drawer with a new one, no chance of repairing the drawer. The repair would be the replacement of one plastic piece, but they don't sell any individual pieces of the hardware so that you could maybe fix it yourself.
From Customer Service:
Onze excuses voor de late reactie op uw e-mail, deze lijkt tussen wal en schip te zijn belandt. Wij hebben dit neergelegd bij onze coordinator en het is helaas niet mogelijk om de voorkant van de lade te repareren. We werken momenteel samen met nieuwe leveranciers, dus het 1 op 1 vervangen is helaas ook niet mogelijk.

Update: upon reading and replying to my review, they contacted me to ask for further photos to look for a solution. So if you don't get any help, you know what to do! It's a shame, they could just provide help in the first place to avoid negative reviews. Just a thought.

We resolved the problem ourselves by finding a way to 3D print the broken plastic piece, but it definitely took some work and luck on our end.

Bedankt voor het plaatsen van een review. Wat jammer om te lezen dat u niet tevreden bent. Wij zien dat u nog steeds in contact staat met onze afdeling Klantenservice. Zoals inderdaad aangegeven is het niet voor ons mogelijk om het volledig te vervangen maar willen wij wel zoeken naar een oplossing voor reparatie. Hiervoor ontvangen wij, zoals per e-mail gevraagd, nog wat meer informatie. Na ontvangst kunnen wij u verder helpen.

Is it really possible to do really everything wrong?

Just to list a couple of our experiences:
- person who came to measure was so careless that he damaged the newly painted wall with several deep black scratches while measuring.
- he measured the space wrongly ("Oh I just switched 43 for 34.")
- the order was not processed correctly so when I called after 4 weeks where the delivery was, they had to reorder and we had to wait another two weeks.
- when the order was delivered, the shelves had been cut incorrectly (wrong seizes)

Customer Service explained that any mistake cannot be corrected easily as there is no 'fast lane' built into their production process. So even if just a screw is missing, the after delivery is very slow.

Company was not willing to offer compensation of any kind.
It is obvious I cannot recommend Kastengigant.nl at all.

Terrible assembling and customer care service

- Do You want a very expensive Closet to be installed at your house by a very indecorous person who will use your room and bed as an assembling table?
- Do You want an estranger sitting on your bed eating a sandwich while waiting to finalize the job?
- Do you want the garbage of a closet (cartoon, plastic, wood) left over in your house?
- Do you want to wait more than 5 weeks before your closet is assembled and then receive it uncompleted? And wait at least 3 more weeks to receive the missing parts?

THEN I INVITE YOU TO ORDER AT KASTENGIGANT !!
