I bought a Kenwood KDC66SS22 from Currys. I also purchased a Care Plan. The top oven door fell off its hinge on the first occasion I went to use it. Eventually, after much argument wi... See more

Poor quality Fridge freezer faulty in 4 years
Fridge freezer bought in 2017 is now 4 years old and the doors inner skin is disintegrating. A door shelf support lug broke. Kenwood, sorry, currys can't help firstly because the miserable 1 year guarantee expired, secondly because of what? No idea. The only "offer" is for me to pay £100 for a repair which is the same cost as me buying a new door. So my choice is spending over £100 on fixing a fault. It's is worth noting the paper-thin inner door skin. A fault/break after 4 years of normal domestic use indicates poor quality hence 1 star. The "nuffink we can do" attitude of customer support should loose you 1 star. Zero would be the correct rating.
A garbage product
We bought a food processor model FDM71.960 in Feb 2022 and since then we used it couple of times and every single times we found a new fault. An absolute garbage! Do not recommend to anyone to but this faulty product and in return you do not get any support.
Do not buy Kenwood Kmix
Boughta new Kmix. The base of the bowl broke within weeks. Sent back to Kenwood with the promise it would be returned within 28 days. A fault that could be rectified within 5 minutes max.
Two months on and no mixer. Customer care useless and promises not kept. eg 'new bowl is in the post" NOT
Do not buy this product or deal with Kenwood. Saddly not the company it was of old.
Very disappointed. Kenwood record their calls so all this can be verified by them.
To make matters worse it was a known fault!!!
kenwood electric fan oven
Bought a kenwood electric fan oven thinking it was a good brand but couldn't be more wrong. The main oven only ever worked by pressing a button beforehand every single time. The oven door handle fell off after only a few months and now, only 18 months old, it has stopped cooking and only blows out cold air. Would never buy kenwood ever again, totally lost faith in this brand.
Kenwood range cookers are GARBAGE
We had a Kenwood dual fuel range for 15 years. It was really good. It finally died and we bought another one. It is total garbage. £700+ totally wasted. Designed by CLOWNS, built by chimpanzees, it will be lucky to last 15 months. Everything about it is rubbish. the oven doors spring back up when you open the doors, which is downright dangerous. The ovens take so long to heat up that you have forgotten what you wanted to cook by the time they reach operating temperature. The fan oven has hot zones, and won't work if you leave the grill pan in. The grill functions are crap, especially the "fan grill" which might be handy in a crematorium, but incinerates anything you put in it. Added to which, the first one we had delivered had to go back, as it was completely smashed in at the back, and had been put into the box in that state.
Useless Oven!
We bought a Kenwood range cooker last year - big mistake!
We have the LPG version with electric ovens. The gas rings are fine but the ovens are atrocious. They take ages to get up to temperature (if ever) it is really useless also they only supply one shelf for each.
I would never buy another Kenwood cooker!
Avoid at all cost!
Kenwood food processor there is no light at all.
Kenwood food processor, very good size rendering and slicing are ok and very clever because one side slices another side rendering in perfect way size is very good and small blender is very clever.
But no light ?!... there is not even any little single LED light !... That's unbelievable.
if it is connected to the power or not ?!..you don't know!?...works only when you lock the bowl then you understand it is on power...my worry is what if the bowl is already locked and connected to the power you may get shocked to scare. may not be the electric shock I am taking. I have a dough machine if it is on power lights up and if you turn it on lights get brighter. So easily you can understand if it is on power. Kenwood must solve this simple problem...
But my first opinion of the 30-liter Kenwood microwave is positive; it is nice and very easy to understand all the factions. But it is too early for me to review the item yet. I didn't like the mirror door I preferred gloss black. but it may be people choose differently.
Fridge section not cold enough
Fridge section not cold enough even after turning the thermostat to the lowest temperature setting.
I’ll never buy kenwood again.
Range cookers thermostat broken while in twelve month warranty, got fixed after 3 months of waiting, five months later it’s broken again and kenwood tells me repairs are only guaranteed for 30 days. That’s helpful🙄 I will never buy kenwood again. Never had any problems with any other cooker I’ve had
Bad product don't buy Kenwood
My husband bought me a Kenwood audio for Christmas 2020. It worked ok for a couple months. Then would turn on and off. He sent it back to Service 4 times always, no problem found. This last time we had a technician test it extensively and he recorded everything. My husband sent it back with instructions to call so he could send the video and the tech could see what was going on. We received it back a couple days later, no problem found. Never again Kenwood! Shame on you!
Want to save energy and reduce your carbon footprint, Don't buy Kenwood
Bought a Kenwood washing machine. Biggest pile of S#'T I have ever bought. Save energy and set your machine to 30 degrees they say...... ha not with this machine. spin cycle is so ridiculously sensitive I have to keep taking out the clothes and try to balance them, put them back in and try to spin again. My machine is a 1400 spin, it probably costs me 1400 quid in electric to finally get the 1400 spin. oh and that's only if you sit there and watch it. If you have a job, kids and a life then most people don't have time to check the machine spins up properly. So you probably didn't notice that it only spins up to about 800, cycle finishes and then you stuff your clothes into the tumble dryer for 3 hours instead of 1 because you didn't get the full 1400 spin. So I have washed on 30 degrees to save 50p and a little energy, but this is totally pointless when you have to keep trying to re-spin your clothes and then watch them for 5 days in a tumble dryer. F#@k sake. You are not saving anything if you buy KENWOOD.
Bought a ‘kenwood’ fridge freezer from…
Bought a ‘kenwood’ fridge freezer from curry’s. It’s never worked properly. Turns out it’s not kenwood at all. It’s a Curry’s essential logik with a kenwood logo stuck on.
Kenwood don’t make, manufacture or distribute their products. They sell curry’s the licence to use their name. Curry’s then sell off rubbish cheap products for more money then they’re worth.
0 rating stand mixer
Should have read the reviews on this forum before I made the purchase. Long story short. Bought a stand mixer 2 years ago it arrived faulty and took it in for a few repairs. Each repairs took at least 1 month and the spare parts took at least 2 months to arrive. You ended up spending hours on the phone chasing up for the repair and parts and the machine is still not fully functioning. AVOID AT ALL COST !!
Delighted until it suddenly died.
Delighted with this product (KSBS4DX17 American 4 section fridge/freezer) for 4 years, then it stopped functioning and was declared beyond economic repair by Currys. I complained under the SALE OF GOODS ACT. 2015 and for the sake of a quick settlement accepted a voucher for £149 . The fridge cost me £560 new. On the plus side Kenwood fridges have stronger drawer/shelf than some makes but what good is that if the fridge has a 4 year lifespan. An extended warranty might have paid off.
Kenwood in name only
Bought dishwasher from curry’s arrived with 2 large dents offered 15% discount looked on manual discovered kenwood name used under licence by curry’s Have it back curry’s do not trust the brand name anywhere a manufacturer or retailer can purchase the right to say an itam is I’ve Sony lg sharp if they pay for license use
How do curry’s get away with it only find out if looking on instructions to find out how to register guarantee
Dangerous appliances! Do not trust this make!
Do not trust this make. Their appliances can be dangerous. Just after the end of the warranty, we started smelling gas in the kitchen and an engineer told us that the cooker developed a fault inside causing gas leak!!!
We paid over 300 to buy their latest model cooker to find it dangerous with gas leak faults!
Awful service for a fault
Awful service. I received a Kmixer as a gift in January and the plastic from the bowl was stuck in the machine/broken within 4 weeks, now contacting customer service after the advised 20 working days repair time and 6 weeks on. No help whatsoever with speeding up the repair time or contacting the repair team on behalf of myself so now I have to spend more of my time doing so. Do not understand how you can justify over 6 weeks to repair a product which I only owned for 4 weeks prior to the fault due to the design and will probably happen again. The advisor did tell me it will be fitted with a new updated design meaning they already knew about said fault, why did they allow customers to still purchase it in the first place? would not recommend the product or the company based on this.
Element broke after 6 months
Bought our kenwood electric oven back in 2019 from curry's , after 6 months the element went on the cooker , we have now had to have 3 elements replaced in q space of 2 years as every 6 months they keep braking!
This is the worst cooker I've ever owned and the customer service is absolutely shocking!
After 6 months of having a cooker it shouldn't brake down and the again 6 months after the replacement
As I wasn't in warranty with curry's they said they couldn't help and kenwood were especially unhelpful too.
Like surely I'm still in warranty within the next 6 months after the 1st element was replaced.
I expect a replacement cooker after paying it £30 at a time for a new element.
The cooker us just not fit for purpose and should not be sold!
This is just not good enough and I will never be purchasing a kenwood product ever again.
Noisy Kenwood washing machine…
I purchased a Kenwood Washing machine K914VVM16 from Curry’s and from the off it has made the most horrendous noise when in any spin cycle to the point it sounds like an old diesel express train thundering through a station. I cannot hear my husband if he speaks in the kitchen and the noise is so deafening we cannot hear the television in the lounge situated 15 metres away without closing the kitchen and hall doors. Staff in store say some machines are just more noisy in spin cycle. During the pandemic it was very hard to get someone out to the point we gave up as the machine worked fine, was just so noisy. I’d never buy another one ever.
Brought a undercounter fridge from…
Brought a undercounter fridge from Currys, broke down in the 11 month of purchase . Fixed under warranty but four months later broke down again with same fault. Having a mare trying to getting Currys to get it fixed. I will never buy a Kenwood make again
