Oh dear

Oh dear! I think I should have read the reviews before buying…..bought a Multipro Compact this January. Tried to use the liquidiser for the first time last night and the motor went up in smoke! Called their customer “experience” department and got the experience of being told that the liquidiser was not for making soup….couldn’t tell me what it was for making, finally established that the problem was that their plastic jugs break with hot liquids. My soup mix was cold and it wasn’t the jug that broke, as I had already explained. Anyway, they refused to replace or refund and say that they will repair but it will take 20 or so days. They sell these for £144….make your own judgement!

I bought a Kenwood free standing electric oven KDC66SS19
Approximately 14 months ago, from curries. With in the first 10 months the thermostat and element went. Which was fixed under the 12 month warranty. How ever last night the element has gone for the second time. Obviously out of warranty. I wouldn’t ever buy a Kenwood make again. Looks great but that’s about it.

I bought a k mix a few years ago and its been making a loud noise lately so I went into the chat and spoke to Delia who was so so helpful. I couldn't remember where i bought from, didn't have prood of purchase due to change of email and the model number was hard to get due to rubbing off but she went through everyway to help and sent a repair request over. Thanks so much Delia. People are quick to complain but never quick to praise the good.

Replacement with no fuss - so impressed

Bought a Kenwood hand mixer last year and the speed button got stuck. Phoned Kenwood and they couldn't have been more helpful. Without any fuss at all they just sent me a new one! Way to go Kenwood!

Shocking

We purchased a Kenwood cooker from Curry’s for our son and daughter-in-law in December 2020 the element went and was repaired on 22 January 2021 and then again July 2021, the element was replaced under warranty both times and both engineers said this is a common fault with these cookers and it will go again. It failed again 10 January 2022 and is now just out of warranty I contacted Curry’s customer services who gave me numbers for Kenwood and they have just told me they are for repairs, went back to Curry’s head office and finally spoke to someone who actually listened and gave me a case number and passed on my complaint to the out of warranty department, who apparently liaise with Kenwood. I received an email back from them the next day and they want us to pay for a white goods engineer report, which may get reimbursed if the item is faulty. What part of the fact that the element has failed 3 times in a year are they not getting!

Brilliant customer service

Purchased a Kenwood food mixer from John Lewis in April 2020 with 2 year warranty. The motor became very laboured and noisy. John Lewis gave me Kenwoods number to ring. I spoke to Amber this morning who was so helpful. A replacement will be put in post today. Brilliant service

Has any body else experienced the shelves cracking and splitting on the white plastic around the the glass? Mine has been replaced so many times and every time they break again in the same place after just a few weeks and one of the shelves broke and the glass totally shattered also the bottom compartment on the door of the fridge drops off so glass bottles fall on the the floor causing them to break the freezer shelves also have all split on the plastic

Spent nearly £800 two years ago at…

Spent nearly £800 two years ago at Curry's, on a Kenwood tall fridge KTLD60X15 and separate Kenwood tall freezer KTF60X15 which looked great as a pair. Two years down the line the fridge stopped cooling and after 6 weeks contacting Curry's they finally sent an engineer out for a fixed fee repair, for me to be told after 5 minutes the coolant had been lost and they wouldn't bother repairing it. So its basically scrap and I have a freezer with no matching fridge. The fridge has never been moved since been unpacked. Curry's are only interested in taking your money and Kenwood is made of cheap parts from China. Not the brand it was. Keep clear of both companies and pay a bit more for a Samsung from a more reputable retailer which will last and have the post sales service a customer deserves to have . Last time I touch Kenwood or Curry's

Do not buy a Kenwood product

I bought Kenwood cooker just over a year ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. Firstly the lining came off but they denied this was happening despite photos . now the heating element has gone in the main oven. The buttons stick.

Cannot get through to customer service

So. Purchased a new Kmix as my old one is creaking after 5 years....
Delivery - prompt within 48 hours.
After service --- sadly - appalling. I cannot even get through to them. Have tried twice this morning - held on for 18 mins... no response. Tried again - 10 mins... nobody!
My issue is that my BRAND NEW KMIX - I cannot lift the head lever. Obviously, I therefore need a replacements... but cannot get through to even discuss this.
If it was not for the fact that I have already got the expensive attachments (Pasta/mincer and juicer) I would just send it back and ask for a respond.

I dont believe in writing reviews as…

I dont believe in writing reviews as soon as something is purchased as it will usually work and look great.

I bought a Kenwood oven 3 years ago this November, in that time I’ve had to have the element replaced 3 times to some cost . The first one happened just after the year warranty . With the help of a white goods engineer photographic evidence of an underlying manufacturing fault was provided to Kenwood . They admitted it was probably not possible to repair ( remember this is less than 3 years old and most ovens last 12-15 years according to Which ) . The oven was £600 Kenwood offered less than £200 for a replacement oven. Apart from the expense it’s been a massive aggravation I’ve been without an oven for 6 weeks while trying to sort I would not buy or recommend a Kenwood oven or appliance again.

This company is a joke…

This company is a joke when your appliance as broke you request a return call don't get one. You go on live chat and they say you have to pay £5 to speak to an engineer. Won't be buying any kenwood appliances again.

Why is Kenwood?

Spoke to a Kenwood agent over the online chat function about a faulty dishwasher (having been bounced between them and Currys), who first told me that Kenwood doesn't manufacture dishwashers and Currys were responsible, and then when I asked to speak to someone who would be able to help me, point blank refused to give me contact details for a manager.

Seriously, don't ever purchase their products, because the second something goes wrong, they'll drop you, since they've already got your money.

Kenwood KDW45X20 Slimline Dishwasher

Kenwood KDW45X20 Slimline Dishwasher - Inox I bought this for my new kitchen. It was fairly cheap and doesn’t have a front display but thought it would do the job.
It’s failed miserably, I’ve yet to have a wash cycle that actually cleans everything without leaving residue of grease or food stains. It’s so bad I’ve resorted to washing up!
The lack of a front display is annoying, you have no idea it’s even on let alone where it is in the cycle.
It failed to clean despite using quality washing tablets and rinse aid.
I miss you my Bosch!

Rusting Kenwood Microwave after 3.5 Years

I bought a Kenwood K30GSS13 microwave from curry’s 3.5 yrs ago with a 3 year warranty.

I have been struggling with hospital appointments and been bed-bound for 12 months so my husband has had to do the cooking. I am now more mobile and on cleaning the microwave was horrified to see that the internal casing had almost rusted through and he hadn’t noticed.

We went to the store and was more or less told nothing could be done as it was out of warranty. I do not expect a product of this calibre and price to go rusty in such a short space of time. I had my previous microwave for 20 years and never experienced anything of this nature. I was told to ring Customer Services.

I rang the numbers they gave me the following day and after a long diatribe and going through the numerous options I was told to by an automated voice that they don’t repair microwaves and to return it to the store and then I was promptly cut off"…….appalling customer service!!

I checked on the website to email them my concerns and all of my emails to customer services got bounced back.

I need a microwave and have ordered another make from another supplier and would in no circumstances recommend curry’s after sales service. This is no way to treat your customers.
