Poor customer service

Poor customer service. After initial email, I simply asked a few extra questions about an 8k product I Intended purchasing, but received no replies. Presumably digging deeper excluded me as a time waster, or perhaps not gullible enough for these chaps?

Particularly bad experience at KJ West One

I visited KJ West One a couple of days ago, having read about the high quality equipment they stock. I am very fortunate to be in the position to purchase HiFi gear of this level, so I could be regarded as part of their 'target customer base'. Unfortunately, my experience of the visit left a great deal to be desired.

I was dealt with by the owner, a chap called Seva. From the outset he made me feel like I was intruding on his time. I was dressed very casually, and I don't know if he'd prejudged that I was a 'tyre-kicker' rather than a serious customer, but I don't subscribe to such superficial judgements and neither should he, regardless of the price point of much of his stock.

My initial browsing didn't seem acceptable to him and without actually conversing with me properly, he hovered close by as though he was worried I may be set to rob the place. I endeavoured to strike up conversation with him, but he was clearly not interested, and his responses were curt and unhelpful. At one point I couldn't help but ask him if I was keeping him from something more important, such was his apparent keenness not to help and instead to see me off.

It's been a long time since I visited a less friendly HiFi retailer and I was left very disappointed indeed. There are other shops selling fine HiFi equipment, my business will certainly be going to one of them instead.
