The Kobo was recommended to me by a couple friends who knew that I wanted to get back into reading. Would definitely recommend! Very compact and easy to read on. Love that it has a dark mode too, so when work is slow I can sit down in a corner and read without disturbing anyone. I've only had it for about a month now but the battery life has been really good (only needed to charge it once after receiving it, but even then it stayed on 22% for a couple weeks).

Wanted a new e-reader for Libby library books in Australia as tablets are not good on the eyes. Initially bought the Clara, but found it too small. Then got the Libra, which is much better and page turn buttons are very good. Libra is good, lightweight and easy to use and still quite compact. Biggest issue is very poor interface with Libby. Virtually impossible to search for a library book, which was easy on android tablet. It automatically defaults to buying books from Kobo instead, and when you finally search Overdrive, it won't let you apply filters to the search and is almost impossible to use. Nice e-reader, terrible interface to Libby

It’s great having a colour Kobo e reader and makes reading various books more interesting. The only thing I find frustrating is how slow it is to type a review. That could do with improving.

This product is really good and the option for night mode makes it easier to read at night. But the one downside is that I don’t know what books have colour and that’s really upsetting because the reason I got the colour was so I could see the colours of the characters of the books. So I give this a solid 8/10 review

I loved this device for the 3/4 months I had it, but discovered a major issue that makes me want to switch back to Kindle. I took my Clara color to the beach for two hours and read, then came home to see it was COVERED in scratches. Having been a kindle user, I assumed the screen was as resilient on this device as my kindle basic - but absolutely not. My husband still uses a kindle and stored his ereader in the same beach bag that I did. Guess whose device is scratched up and who’s is still in pristine condition? I’m devastated that the kindle BASIC is higher quality and sturdier than this device, considering how much more I paid for it. I realize i should’ve put a case on it, but in all the photos online, the people using it by the water/outside don’t have cases on their kobos, so I assumed it would be pretty sturdy? Guess not. And sure I could replace the screen for $80, but that’s half the price of the device itself and it would void the waterproof warranty.

The reader is my first e-ink device and I really love it so far, my eyes don't seem to get as strained anymore and the Clara Colour is just very nice to hold with the bezel and the textured back. I especially appreciate the variety of books on the discover page. It feels very much like wandering through a library with the different sections and genres available to browse, and I love it.

I absolutely love my Kobo! I’ve been wanting an e-reader for quite some time, but didn’t want to purchase a Kindle due to various issues with Amazon and not being able to download the books I purchase. This e-reader is extremely simple to use and intuitive, and it is highly customizable, especially if you have a computer (there are plenty of tutorials online). I have read with this a bit outside, and had no issues with glare, and I find that the size of the e-reader is perfect for throwing in my bag/backpack or even a large pocket when I travel. Lastly, the built in reading tracker and estimation times for book completion are a very nifty feature if you enjoy it. Overall, I love this product and am very happy with this being my first e-reader.
