This product has been outstanding! The battery life has been fantastic for my level of usage. I have only charged it once and have had it for nearly a month. I have also been able to customize the font in ways that makes it so much easier to pay attention. That has been wonderful because my main challenge with books is usually the font style. Overall best experience I could have hoped for!
Not fit for purpose because the gadget screen didn't work well and might not respond to commands most of the time. Unable to adjust it to be suitable for a child
Lightweight, nice color display, and fits in my purse.
I ordered the Kobo Clara Colour, and it glitches really bad. When it’s in sleep mode and I press the power button, it does not come out of sleep mode. Oftentimes I have to turn it completely off to turn it back on.
Very lovely
My daughter has a Kobo and loves it. My husband surprised me with mine. It’s fabulous. So lightweight, the perfect size. Being able to access my library is such a gift. I love my Kobo.
Excellent product. The e-reader is easy to use and works perfectly.
The good: It's not Amazon. That's the best I can say about it. The bad: Build quality feels cheap. The color is so desaturated that it might as well be black and white; save the $20 and get the black and white version. The screen is very low-contrast and difficult to read. The background color is a dark gray and I need to have the backlight on at least 40% even when using a reading light, which drains the battery. The worst: The Kobo is not showing anything under the "Series" tab. Many of the books I have loaded onto it are part of a series, and I have confirmed that their metadata contains the series (and their place in that series), but Kobo does not display this information, which makes it difficult to navigate and read books in order. I have to consult an outside source to read the next book. (All the books are in the kepub format, Kobo's own format). When looking at all the books by an author, there is no option to sort the books by publication date, even though that is part of the metadata. Adding this option would make it easier to read books in chronological order. In general, this is a difficult device to navigate. These last two deficiencies are enough to make me consider returning it. They could possibly be fixed in a firmware update, but I'm not optimistic. The verdict: I regret buying the Kobo Clara Colour. I do not recommend it.
This is a great e-reader. The feel of the device is really nice in your hand, the display is sharp and easy on the eyes, it feels well made. The reading features like percentage complete are really nice and keep me motivated to keep reading. I love the public library connectivity and flexibility with file formats, makes it easy to load indie or self published books and documents. Highly recommend the kobo, and the Clara colour is an excellent basic colour reader.
Wife loves it
Books available on Kobo reader and app. Books displayed on front cover. Easy to use and can change font, background colour.
This is a great advance on my two older Kobo readers (the newer of which is broken) and the oldest one keeps going but is slower and has less battery life now.
I cannot rate the product as I NEVER RECEIVED IT. The company could not care less that I paid for, but never received, this product.
I love it so much, it's so light and the quality is amazing. beautiful
The look and feel of the Kobo Clara is outstanding. I was able to use it with my library membership right away, which is exactly what I wanted. Now I can read comics and manga in color.
Product broke within a week and company insisted it was damaged by the user rather than accept that it is possible that it was faulty.
There are a lot of things I like about this little e-reader. The color is a nice upgrade and I like the size. The one thing I absolutely hate is that I cannot check out books from multiple libraries through Overdrive/Libby and from what I've read online this is unlikely to ever change. If I wasn't so determined to quit Amazon, I would have sent it back and stuck with my Kindle. So, yes... I'm keeping it. But I'm not super happy and may eventually invest in a different e-reader.
Awesome!! I love it!!
Excellent product for my kid, encourages him to read.
