I’ve ordered a number of items from Kogan over the years. The last time I made a purchase, I signed up for the free trial of Kogan First to receive free delivery. The item I bought—a phone case—arrived as expected, but within two months it was already falling apart. I ended up buying a replacement from a more reputable retailer, and that case has lasted over a year without any issues.
I acknowledge that I forgot about my Kogan First membership. However, I also realised that I did not receive any notification that the membership would be charged annually until I cancelled it. I must have missed last year’s charge among other expenses in my bank statements, but noticed it this time and contacted Kogan to cancel the membership.
I requested a reimbursement for both this year’s and last year’s fees, as it was clear I hadn’t used the membership. I was told that last year’s fee was non‑refundable, and Kogan would only reimburse the remainder of my membership year instead of refunding me the full fee which would include the three days which I used in the new membership year. As a result, I was refunded $128.29 rather than the full $129 membership fee meaning that this phone case, instead of the 20 dollars it originally cost me, cost me $150.
It seems a little odd that it wouldn't just be a full refund due to my prolonged inactivity, though from these interactions it seems that Kogan care more about the money they receive than the customer's satisfaction and retention at the end of the day.
Between both the poor product quality and what feels like inflexible and unhelpful customer service, I’m unlikely to shop with Kogan again.

I ordered a Fortis 400mm Foldable Incline Treadmill. It was due to arrive within four days but took 11.
Upon assembly, it was immediately clear the display was faulty, with parts of the digits not lighting up properly.
I reported the issue straight away and there were multiple emails back and forth, including being asked to complete troubleshooting steps, despite the fault being clearly a display defect.
After completing all requested steps and providing the same details more than once, I was offered a $60 partial refund to keep the treadmill. I accepted this reluctantly due to the time already spent and the inconvenience of returning it and waiting for a replacement.
While the customer service representative was polite and responsive, the overall experience was poor. Delayed delivery, a faulty product and a weak resolution.

At the time of purchase, the item was explicitly advertised with "Fast Dispatch available, Leaves warehouse in 1-2 business days." Today is the 14th day, and my order is still pending after multiple attempts to contact Kogan customer service. It's pathetic!! No customer support whatsoever! Never purchasing again from Kogan

Absolute rubbish TV followed by Absolute rubbish aftersales service. Multiple issues from the start followed by multiple false promises of faulty item will be picked up for warranty. This started in Nov 25 shortly after item arrived and persists still in April 26. Have put a case together to forward to ombudsman as Kogan wont even at my multiple requests click delivered at their end. By doing this customers are UNABLE to review product on their page. Only after informing Kogan of this did a person actually try to call me on a number you can't return their call on, clever. Do yourself a favour and buy locally from a walk in store.

Bought a Swann wired security system. Kogan states 'we cannot find the purchase Please supply us with OUR sale and purchase details. I have an email saying otherwise. Directed to deal with Swann. Did so complete with pics of the faulty box unit. The famous 'disappearing company' act.
