I am cancelling my LLBean Mastercard after learning LLBean donated to the current president's campaign in 2024. As much as I love the products I can not support a company that has participated in the destruction of our democracy.
Think twice before spending all that money!
I bought a pair of sweatpants for my husband in 2021 which he hardly wore, maybe 4 times. He didn't catch them on a nail or anything.
I washed them and I noticed a hole in the knee area. I returned them for a replacement and because it had been over a year that I had bought them they were not covered under their guarantee.
Their clothes are expensive. These sweatpants should have lasted longer. We have Hanes Sweatpants that we've been wearing for at least 10 years and no holes.

It is normal to have to return items bought on the internet. LLBean charges $6.50 if you return an item.
I will get my slippers elsewhere from now on.

Christmas present ordered on 11.12.24; had no dispatch email so followed up on 21.12.24 as I was concerned as to why it hadnt arrived yet and was told it was already on its way and would be there for Christmas. Miraculously following this I got an email to say it actually wasn't dispatched until 21.12.25 after I'd been in touch.
Order arrived weeks late for Christmas and although it's a UK facing site, paid in GBP, turns out that they are American shoe sizes (even though this isn't detailed anywhere on the product - just a number).
So got in touch to explain this had happened and was sent a "prepaid postage".. which was then discounted from my refund to an amount of £16 (even though the original delivery was £10).
Am now £25 out of pocket with nothing but horrendous service to show for it.
Avoid this company at all costs for U.K. customers.

I recently purchased a spring jacket from Bean. It was a beautiful coat in style and the color. Unfortunately I have to send it back. The sleeves are way too long and almost touch my fingertips.
I have average length arms .The elasticized wrists have no purpose at all the elastic is totally stretched out.
I am very disappointed, certainly not the quality Bean has always been known for.

Out of touch business model, sending sheets back and would likely try a new color but tired of paying $9 for return shipping, put this on your list of dinosaurs of the failed business world.
Avoid - too much trouble
I ordered a pair of hiking boots and I – incorrectly – assumed that I was dealing with a vendor that had a UK presence. However, the boots were shipped from the US. I had simultaneously ordered boots to try from a number of other UK-based vendors which all offered ‘free 30-day returns’
The boots took 10 days to arrive from L.L.Bean and they were ok but too narrow so I started the returns process and was informed that there a charge of £16 for return shipping. When I searched the L.L.Bean website though, there was no mention of this. I queried the charge with L.L.Bean’s International Customer Service department and the lady there replied really promptly and provided me with a label so that I could return them via DHL free of charge. However, the whole experience with DHL was awful – not L.L.Bean’s fault though. However, my conclusion is that dealing with L.L.Bean in the USA is just too much of a faff and not worth the trouble. The lady in customer service was great though so I’ve given two stars to L.L.Bean although she deserves 5.

I am extremely disappointed with UPS’s unprofessional handling of my LLBean delivery. First, I received an email stating my package would arrive on Saturday—it never showed up, with no explanation whatsoever. Then, I got a new email saying it would arrive Monday, but as of 8 PM, it’s still not here!
When I called LLBean, the representative was curt and dismissive, simply saying it should arrive by the end of the day—but it was already after 7 PM! This is beyond frustrating, especially since two weeks ago, another UPS package didn’t arrive until 9 PM.
To make matters worse, UPS’s tracking website has been down for weeks, making it impossible to check updates. This level of disorganization and lack of communication is spectacularly unprofessional. I’m seriously rethinking ordering from LLBean again if they continue to rely on such an unreliable shipping service.

Quality material that holds its shape and color
Shirts lose their whiteness after a couple of machine washings. Collar loses its shape too. What was once a great looking crew t-shirt is just average and no longer white white.

I would have given this product a 0 if I could have! A 126.00 robe for Christmas and it is covered in pilling!! Called customer service and was told “ this happens to all flannel pieces, so not true. Had a robe from Lands End that lasted for 6 years, NEVER PILLED. Very inferior product. Very dissatisfied!!

Do not buy slippers online!! Their size is different from the real world. Do not get an LL Bean credit card!! Got one to save 20% on my purchase. Never received a card. Was unable to do an exchange because I did not have credit card number, and no one could give it to me. I paid it off over the phone and closed the account. The following month I received a late payment fee. I spent a total of at least 5 hours on separate calls trying to talk with a live person. I hope I don't have to deal with them anymore! After 20 min or more to talk to a live person they were very helpful.

I purchased boots several years ago which have now disintegrated-where the upper rubber meets the sole. They show little wear as I have worn them maybe less than 12 times. They expect you to keep receipts forever- pray you never lose them or God forbid they burn in a fire or you pay cash, they will not stand behind a product that you purchased in their store and it has their name on it. $170 down the drain. I will do business elsewhere where they stand behind their products for years and years without proof of purchase (yes I have dealt with this other company first hand on a product that didn’t hold up). My issue with this started about 3 weeks ago trying to have something done, was only looking for replacement.
