I'm sorry but LL Bean like so many other similar companies have an aura about themselves that their merchandise is some one of a kind. Everything is imported and really just a step above discount chai... See more

Selection sucks
Selection zero!! If you don’t wear plaid or a few limited color section you are out of luck. If you want it monogrammed there moral police will block you . There quality of cloths has dropped horrible bad. Time to shop elsewhere
Made in Viet Nam
I normally take a size 12 in slacks, however, I have to order up, as the slacks run SMALL. I see where they were made in Viet Nam!!! The 14s are also small. Unfortunately, I ordered a second pair, now have to return them once they arrive.
Did not bother to mention that sizes…
Did not bother to mention that sizes are Asian and my 3xl came about xl...
So much for American classic company.
My new nickname is Wheel
One of the wheels on my rolling travel bag stopped working. I originally bought the bag in 2018 and they replaced it in 2022 when the handle wouldn't retract. This time they blamed me and returned the shoddy bag to me.

I don't understand why there so many negative reviews, ordering online from their stores for past year, very happy with material quality
Long time customer but no more
I have been a Bean's customer for many years. I recently ordered a jacket in XXL, which is the size that has ALWAYS fit me. But this time it didn't - it was quite a bit too small. I went to return it, only to find that of the $81.37 purchase price (the item plus sales tax plus shipping) they will refund $68.58 after deducting $6.50 for return shipping. In other words, I am going to receive LESS than I paid for the item's purchase price plus sales tax. In other words, a loss to me for an item that doesn't even fit. So, no more business from me. I'm so sorry to see what this once-great store has become.
Orchestrated LL Bean Advertising bait…
Orchestrated LL Bean Advertising bait and switch con.
Designed to get you on boot website, then switch you off the advertised product by not having normal sizes, color selection, style, or width.
Diabolical, persistent, unlawful.
Do not fall for this Companies illicit marketing ploys.
Prove it to yourself. Do not settle for ANYTHING but the boot the ad herded you onto the website to buy. This company must be stopped in they’re boot tracks !
Adio Bean
Mixed experience
I have not ordered anything for some time, but my experience has been mixed. Your outerwear and footwear are fine -- no problems. But your dress shirts/pants -- specifically those made in Malaysia -- are a very different story!! They seriously fray very quickly and hence are not worth the price charged. I have bought similar items from discount stores (e.g., Walmart, Kmart, Sears) which have lasted 5-10 times longer than similar items from Bean. If you have not stopped doing business with these producers, I strongly suggest that you do so.
MY MONEY AIN'T GOOD ENOUGH?
I'm one of those conservatives you don't want to provide merchandise to. I just gave the LL Bean merch I've purchased throughout my 58 years, to a homeless camp. My money will spent at a store that respects AMERICANS. Bad decision Bean.....really bad decision.
The best of a bad situation
We had bought a pair of boots for my mom; they came quick enough but they didn't fit. We sent the boots back to the store but the store gave me only a part of the address so the boots were sent to a holding facility....for a month. We got the missing unit # of the store and gave it to Canada Post for update. Every week the store manager called us to see about the progress of getting them out of the facility. The store held the proper boot size for the whole time it took for them to finally arrived back to the store. When the store received the return they sent the boots out that same day and they arrived to my mom the next day!
The service was friendly and courteous....the store cared about the situation and did everything they could to rectify the issue. I would recommend LLBean not only for their great products but their customer service as well.
Bilked By CITI's LL Bean Master Card
Unfortunately, my 26 years as an LL Bean customer came to a disappointing end today when I found out that CITI's LL Bean Master Card had closed my account months ago "due to inactivity" even though the expiration date is still a year away from now. No one ever notified me, and CITI kept more than $200 of my Bean Bucks! When LL Bean gave the Master Card contract to CITI a couple of years ago, we were promised that the Bean Bucks would never expire. Apparently CITI doesn't agree, and LL Bean says that it's out of their hands. So, if you have any Bean Bucks, use them now or you may lose them!
Another customer gone
Just purchased 6 sweaters/sweatshirts for about $560. My body type is probably typical (5’7”, 112 1bs).. So, I trusted the size charts on LLBean and ordered Small, based on the dimensions provided. Every single item proved to have a sizing issue. Sweaters very tight, with very short sleeve length. Sweatshirts ridiculously loose and do not represent “small” at all. I considered returning/exchanging these items but thought better after reading reviews here. I’m disappointed in myself for believing I’d update my closet by spending a chunk of money, but now, I’m just disappointed that I wasted that money on awkward fitting clothing. LLBean used to be totally top notch… 😣No more.

I would like to make a shout out to a company in todays day and age that actually does what they say and goes above and beyond your expectations without a hard time , it was their pleasure to do the right thing!!!
Wishing them much success and in the future I ‘ll be back
worst experience
Received a pair of Slippers from their online store and the stitching was already fraying I thought it was just a untrimmed end after one week the whole back side of the sole came off I sent a ticket for a repair/replacement or refund. Told me that I was abusing them and won't accept a return and would charge me for repairs when they sold me a broken product. I get better stuff from dollar tree. DONT BUY FRON THEM YOULL REGRET IT.
L.L.Bean clothes are Made in CAMBODIA for peanuts
Your clothes are made in CAMBODIA. The clothes I just bought for an exorbitant amount of money. I have had several problems, Jeans that are not cut on the bias and the legs turn and for the Hugh prices that L.L.Bean charges in a sin. They need to make sure the public knows that the sizing sucks. these Item were Christmas gifts, I am sick!!!!! if I could give a negative number I would
Good Experience. Question these fake? Reviews
My guess is most of those negative reviews are all by the same party or AI generated…they do not ring true to us. We have a great little trusted hand crank FR 300, from years ago…emergency charger, radio, light, weather, tv etc, so glad it’s in our emergency Go Bag.
Good quality and easy exchange
Received some clothes for Christmas and they are fantastic. Good fit and high quality. I needed to exchange one item and it was super easy at my local store.
The quality has gone way downhill
The quality has gone way downhill. Size charts do not even come close to the received items. If I want to return anything I have to pay $6.95 shipping, then pay to ship replacement. Ll bean used to be a staple in our large family. Never buying again.
Same story every year
Same story every year. I get an ll bean gift card for Xmas. Try to order winter clothes and everything is out of stock. Maybe they should consider increasing their inventory. I'm sure they sell a lot of gift cards at Christmas, but they do not maintain an inventory to support them. Next Christmas it will not be an ll bean gift card.
First Time Shopping There and Never Again Due to Terrible Customer Service
My first time shopping there, I experienced horrible customer service in the store, and I will now never shop there again. I went in to the store for the first time looking for swimming trunks. At first, I thought the quality was nice, and thought to myself I should start shopping here... But after I browsed for a bit, someone came over to tell me the store was closing in 5 minutes. I had found a pair I liked so I asked if I can try them on quickly as it would only take me 2 minutes. They said no, the store is closing soon. I said I'd really like to buy them but I just want to make sure they fit. They still refused saying the store closes soon. I refused to buy them without being allowed to try them on. That one person lost this sale for the store along with any future purchases from me by being rude and not being nice to their customers. They weren't even trying to be polite, they were very disrespectful and inconsiderate. I was very unimpressed, this was my first time ever shopping there and now I will never shop there again because of this. In checking reviews after this I see that several others experienced poor customer service here. The store should really work on improving this.
