Miss-selling on line prices

I found a car on line. Reserved it. Paid £99. They called me next day and said was an on
Line error and would not honour price. They said it was cost pice and would only knock £250 off! Blackpool BMW

I asked them if they could loosen two…

I asked them if they could loosen two wheel nuts for me as the locking nut I had just purchased from them had sheaered off, they wouldn't even try to see if they could loosen the two nuts that needed to be removed, either I had to buy another locking nut or book the vehicle in which would be chargeable - I will never use Lloyd BMW again.

Lloyds Cockermouth

Lloyds Cockermouth. Have had many problems with their service. Had oil change roughly 3 years ago , didn't update service on my i drive, arranged to take it back a week later , couldn't update it said it was a common problem they were having at the time . Called me 2 weeks later took car back waited for an hour only to be told they could update service but not backdated to day of service, had to be for the current day. A few days ago got mot done and both front tyres failed due to excessive wear on outer wall . When mechanic was taking tyres off called me over and said you wanted run flats on I said yes, showed me tyres he was taking off they were not run flats . These tyres had been put on at Lloyds Cockermouth. They cannot do the basics right , appalling service

My initial interaction for the car was…

My initial interaction for the car was with an individual from the Newcastle branch who I emailed multiple times to obtain all the information regarding the X one however this person provided me with incorrect detail details of the i drive system and tech for the car, as a transpired later down the line.

The individual also told me the car cannot be transferred over to the branch nearest to Manchester and advised the only branch would be further up north York which he later denied.

I then investigated myself and contacted COLNE branch and spoke to an agent there who advised they would get the car transferred over from Newcastle which they did. The agent from Newcastle rang me at work with no formal introduction and demanded to know why I did not give him the sale. This was highly unprofessional and unexpected. I contacted his manager later that day who basically shrugged off the unprofessional behaviour.

After purchasing the vehicle, I decided to have ceramic coating on the car approximately three months into the purchase, the individual who completed my ceramic coating is highly professional and is used to dealing with vehicles of a very high value. He discovered respray on the bumper and by detailed cleaning discovered scratches and deep paint chips that had been coloured in.

Upon my three month review, I advised that I was satisfied with the vehicle however highlighted the paint issue but was told this is being raised three months into the agreement and therefore they could not do anything about this.

As I had limited use of the vehicle due to a busy lifestyle or later approximately eight months later decided I wanted to check out the technology built into the vehicle and see if any updates were available. I then discovered that the iDrive was one version older than what I was told in the email at the beginning and that many features were lacking, including no formal free update updates.

This matter was raised as a complaint and I was advised that my previous contract with Newcastle does not apply to the COLNE branch therefore they have no liability and due to the timeframe to bring this to their attention has lapsed especially as they did an interim check with me if I was satisfied with the Car.

Points to be noted management state that the sale contract supersede the previous contract with Newcastle however it is to be noted. No contract was signed with Newcastle. Only Car information was obtained therefore the lack of consumer claims knowledge is shocking for them all even though the retailer emailed me periodically to see if I was happy with the Car which I confirmed I was they have taken this as literal for all aspects of the Car under the consumer claims act the the consumer is at no liberty to check the vehicle within a set space of time to discover faults or misrepresentations therefore an eight month period is acceptable to discover multiple misrepresentations made by the retailer. All which I denied.

As a first time BMW dealer purchase this has been overwhelming and has proven by dealing with a large organisation does not necessarily mean they are trustworthy.

I have reached out to BMW themselves to see if they are able to assist as the resolution I wish to seek is the difference between the F and the G version of an M sport which they refused to provide.

The state I have extensively reviewed and looked at the Car upon collection however a quick look around the bodywork does not mean a detailed review of the vehicle. Furthermore their assistant did not go through every single feature or a proper look around the car at the time of the purchase she spent two hours talking inside about non-related issues .

I would advise anybody looking to purchase from this retailer to obtain everything in writing and expect the salesperson to go through every feature under a review of the bodywork in person prior to purchase and if you are to purchase a vehicle to have it detailed cleaning which will advise you of any paintwork and scratches that have been covered up which they classified as used and approved .

This retailer has failed to come to a resolution with myself with a blanket denial approach.

Charging port warranty issue

My iX3 electric charging port began sticking.
I phoned Lloyds, who I use for servicing, and their customer support was amazing. On describing my problem they advised they would order the part in and I could bring it in the next day and they would replace it under warranty. Offered me a courtesy car, which although not needed, was appreciated at such short notice.
Repair was faultless and my issue resolved within 48 hours of discussing.
Would not hesitate to continue using Lloyds for car purchases and servicing going forward - staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Excellent service & prompt attention.

Following a less than helpful initial telephone contact with South Lakes BMW where I had been given inaccurate information about my first appointment, I tnen made a second visit to address the amber engine warning light and received excellent service from Steve. He explained the issue, the solution, reason for delay on delivery of part and kept me fully informed on progress. It was a pleasure to receive what I know and recognise as BMW customer service. Thank you so much and very much appreciated by me, the customer.

Never again

I chose Lloyd's Blackpool to fit 2 tyres, on collection I noticed damage on 1 of the alloys, after pointing this out to the service assistant, he called the fitter and THEY agreed 'must of already been there!, considering I washed the wheels the night before fitting I know there was No damage, then I got "ill speak to my manager but he's in a meeting, take the car and he will phone you"! Days later still waiting,! I won't use this garage again for anything, read the reviews I'm not on my own.

Absolutely shocking after sales…

Absolutely shocking after sales service, I recommended Lloyds BMW Blackpool to my son, who was looking to purchase his 1st BMW, my wife and I have purchased several BMW’s/Minis from Lloyds and never had a problem.
After 2 weeks of owning his new BMW it broke down on the motorway, which lead to the turbo being replaced, there has been a constant tyre safety warning/notification, which Lloyds have failed to rectify after 6 separate attempts. I believe they have had the car back on 9 occasions within 4 months.
They have also blamed my son for spilling a liquid over the centre console, my son strongly denies this accusation as his new car is his pride and joy but yet they wanted to bill him £750(price after good will gesture) to replace it.
His car is currently being serviced and the tyre safety faults fixed , a replacement centre console and 2 new tyres by Halliwell Jones in Southport for less than Lloyds were demanding to replace the damaged console.
Avoid Lloyds BMW Blackpool, go to Halliwell Jones instead, they have been fantastic, I cannot fault them at all.
I for one will not be using Lloyds again.

Terrible after service from this…

Terrible after service from this company, they take your money but when there’s a problem nobody wants to know, you would assume that buying from a reputable dealer that if there was a problem with your car the same dealer would have their own people repair it? NO instead they fob you off with the poor rated warranty where they cover x an hour ! Guess what the figure is below the Lloyd group rate. So the garage can sell me the car for a premium price being a dealer but then fob me off down the road to some unknown back street garage! Absolutely scandalous.

Lloyd BMW Carlisle - Professional and friendly purchase

Just purchase an approved used BMW 3 series from Lloyd BMW Carlisle. (September 2025). The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The showroom is nicely furnished in clean and modern BMW style lounge and desking areas with new models on display. Our part exchange was conducted by Julie with exceptional professionalism and friendliness. Contact out of working hours and weekends wasn’t a problem - with every question answered promptly. In all - a lovely professional dealership coupled with friendly staff.

Never buying from LLOYDS again

I bought a BMW 330D from Lloyd bmw in Carlisle in February/March this year.

they were kind and courteous right up until money was on the table, once car was paid for it took approximately three weeks to receive the car

There were no deals or discounts on the table and I understand that to a degree
What did confuse me was the fact they wanted to charge almost £200 for floor mats that you can buy direct from BMW for around £100

The car had a fault upon collection and was quickly rectified which is ok

What I’m not happy with however is the car was never given its final valet when I bought the car, when it went back in to get wheels refurbed etc. nor when it went in for warranty work after being promised multiple times by the salesman. Buying an overpriced new car and then finding dog hair between the seats and leaves in the boot is unacceptable to me

The straw that broke the camels back and has led me to write this review is the fact that now after owning the car properly for about 4 months, the front bumper is a mess with flaking clear coat everywhere, wether it has been Resprayed before or not I’m not sure however this is a “BMW APPROVED USED” car, I should hope the paint has been verified to have lots of life left in it.

They have now charged me 350 pounds for the pleasure of having my car brought back to how it should be anyways.
They wouldn’t give me a courtesy car before collection, nor when it has gone into the bodyshop

I’m utterly appalled at the service I have received from the entire team at LLOYDS

You would think that a young buyer would recieve good service as to have a lifelong commitment to their dealership
