Absolutely awful experience! Had someone round for a free quote and he told me it was £120 to drill the lock out of the door, told him the door was open and it only needs to be pushed so no need for him to drill the lock! He then carried on trying to get £120 out of me, I said not to worry and I’ll be in touch as he said the whole work was £280 to complete. Told him I would call back to arrange an appointment just to get him out my house. Then refused to leave until I paid £60 cancellation charge, told him I am paying no money and he needs to leave. Was very threatening and intimidating and refused to leave. Eventually got him out and reported to the police

It’s a shame that I did not think about reading reviews before giving them a call. Thinking they are local and trustworthy was a big mistake. They are not local and they “claim” to be from Reading. I can’t confirm.

I don't usually write reviews but I just wanted to spread an awareness. They are a bunch of scams and charge you extortionate amount. Also reflecting on my experience, it gets more and more dodgy how they write the invoice and make you sign and then later add additional works to charge you extortionate amount. More than £1300 just to get a locked door open and fit a new locks. AVOID AT ALL COST! They are SCAMS!

Just been to a customer to rectify the damage and appalling work done by Sam Locks Basingstoke. The customer couldn't get into their house so Sam Locks drilled out the cylinder tried to cut the hook bolts (unsuccessfully) and damaged the front door in the process. When they eventually gained entry they obviously didn't have a replacement MPL strip to fit so fitted another gearbox which didn't fit, was unsecured (apart from the euro cylinder and handle screws) and couldn't be locked/unlocked. They left all the original parts in the driveway, charged an extortionate amount of money, and left the customer in an unsecured property for a job that should have cost a fraction of the price - disgusting and gives professional locksmiths a bad name.

Not based anywhere in Hampshire. Had someone come from Reading, no price list or invoice and lying people at the office. If Gil is even a real person. Luckily it was my day off or he would've done a U turn. Left me waiting for nearly 2h in the sodding cold. Get someone from YOUR area. These aren't.

Avoid at all costs......
As it will actually cost you a fortune.
Lock on front door jammed, waited for someone to arrive, more than the time they specified, and took ages drilling the lock only for them to damage the wooden front door as well.
For this they charged £49 call out charge...when they said there wasn't a call out charge according to their website...and £150 to drill the lock and damage the door when according to their website they do a 'non destructive entry'!
It would have been extra to have a new lock fitted...who knows how much!
Bunch of cowboys, don't ever use them.
