Selling services not required at extortionate prices

This company does not fulfil their promises!
Do not use this company! You do not need a photo portfolio to gain a contract with a modelling agency. They will take their own photos at a fraction of the price! LFM promoted and offers services that are not required and charge you a fortune, claiming aftercare services will get you the best contract with the best agencies! They don't, the truth is the aftercare is pretty non existent, and if you are lucky enough to hear back from an agent they will too want to charge you fees for registratiom and want their own photos!!! Avoid this company like the plague! No reputable modelling agency will want to have images of girls wearing makeup. Please do not sign up to one of their extortionate contracts - do not be fooled like I was!

Do not be fooled

I went and apparently the 3rd time in his life a worker( cannot name or describe the guy as per trustpilot guidlines) there has said yes.and i was the third to be accepted..he made me pay big money for a high end pakage called platinum after haggling price down because i didnt have enough cash on me and demanded money on the spot else i would lose my place and pictures.so i had to pay over 1grand which i had on me.and then weeks after emailing time and time again i get a poor website which anyone could have done at home and nothing else no zcard no retouched pictures ...then weeks later website gets deleted and i still never heard from them. They get your hopes up for nothing and this has happened to most other people that attended the shoot.do not trust unless you want to lose your money.this is .beleive it or not as the way theysell it to you sounds so legit.but you will surely find out..you have lost a big sum of money.promise you..(LOL AT THE NUMBER OF TIMES MY REVIEW KEEPS GETTING TAKEN DOWN DUE TO UNACEEPTABLE TRUTHS SO I HAD TO REMOVE MAIN POINTS...BUT I HOPE YOU GUYS ALL GET THE IDEA IM TRYING TO REACH OUT THEIR.)

Quite simply, they lied to me.

Quite simply....they lied to me about their ability and/or willingness to deliver the services which they purport to offer, stated both on their website and verbally during the consultation. They were not rude or discourteous on the day but they didn't deliver on any of the elements of the services I bought except the photos on a CD which I received on the same day as the shoot (and which were actually of good quality!!). Everything else I paid (an extra £1,100) was supposed "to follow" and they never delivered on any of it after 4 months (supposed to be 3 to 6 weeks) - no website, no retouching of images, no dietary advice, no modelling guide, no appointment of a consultant/mentor, no Z card. All emails and calls I have made have either been ignored altogether or I have been fobbed off with broken promises. Two letters were also ignored. This was very disappointing because the actual experience of having the makeup done and the photos taken on the day was OK and my daughter enjoyed herself. However, the definition of any "service experience" is the totality of that experience which naturally includes a) after-sales and b) whether the company, once you have left their premises, actually deliver on what was ordered and what they promised. So, the fact that my daughter enjoyed herself on the day is massively diluted by the fact that she learnt soon afterwards that a very large part of what she was told turned out to be totally untrue. In other words the "feelgood" was very temporary and merely deployed by the salesperson to extract money under a false pretext. Therefore the total failure by LFM to deliver what I ordered or to come good on their promises mean that mine and my daughters my experience was dreadful.
When it became clear to me that LFM were in breach of their contract with me, I gave the card company all the evidence and 4 weeks later I received £1,100 back into my account today. You can only make a successful claim (it's called a Section 75 Claim under the Consumer Credit Act.) if there is a clear breach of contract, so I must have been able to provide good evidence of this or my claim would not have been successful. If you paid by credit card and your experience is the same as (or similar to) mine, then I recommend you call your card company. However, LFM do have to have genuinely said they will deliver things which they didn't. If you just paid a few hundred quid for some pretty good photos (as I've said before they're actually OK photos!!) then you probably paid a fair price.

Why are some saying this place is a scam when there is no proof!

I was successful at the studio works 2 whole weeks ago and I should receive my portfolio in the next 2-3 days this is a dream job that will help me and to support my family but online I have read a lot of bad reviews so I decided to call the studio works my self and speak to them about this and they told me that it’s people from other companies etc just hating and trying to make the studio works like they are a scam because of this competition I would be absolutely devastated if this was a scam because this Means so much to me to become a model and for my family I have these people here a fake and the studio works will get me starting before Christmas as I’ve been promised. And just to say on the day everyone was friendly and perfect.

Do Not pay them money. Now also known as The studio works or studio 41

Ashamed to say I have been totally scammed just like a long list of others. Daughter sent a photo - they contacted her and told her they liked her photo and she was invited for a shoot, which we did in September! - told had to purchase photos on day or photos would be deleted - All done in a very dark room, with the promise of at least 4-5 castings and 2-3 shoots per month.
During time in room - Person stepped out of room and said her boss was on the phone - said they liked my daughter so much they would offer a special discount. Now I type this it all sounds so stupid. "Package" I purchased was supposed to include 40 photos on website - 15 of which would be professionally photo shopped. After care consultant. Fitness, nutrition advice etc. Well, I could have created the web site myself, only 18 photos (none photo shopped) - Did receive a call from "consultant" during school hours! Tried to ring back - when name given the well rehearsed spiel was given that they liked her picture and would
like to invite her for a shoot!! She explained she had already done that! He said her "consultant would call" next received an email from so called consultant saying "it was great talking to you today! An appointment has been booked for you to speak again" Not one of any of the people whose names we have been given have any social networks profiles - strange for so called modelling consultants. - I AM PURSUING GETTING A REFUND. Letter written to them, I got a call from someone (another actor) telling me not to believe what I read online, it is not a scam!! IT IS!! I DONT KNOW HOW THESE PEOPLE SLEEP AT NIGHT. Contact citizens advice who will forward to trading standards. Also contact action fraud.

Terrible you’ve heard of dodgy model …

Terrible you’ve heard of dodgy model agencies this is one of them they feed you crap about talent and Work promises and con you into parting with a studio fee where they fleece you for photos you don’t need then when you cancel you don’t get your money back. Seriously steer clear read the reviews and genuine talent will get attracted via reputable agencies with photos from your iPhone. If you use these they fill you with lies about how you have potential but it’s a ruse to extract cash for photo portfolios you don’t need. My daughter is trying to get into modelling i sent photos in they grab onto you like leeches yes they tell you the flannel! I read up on them after i booked an appointment then cancelled. I lost £50 they said they would refund but didn’t. Save yourself the aggravation 😊

After my last review I was contacted by …

After my last review I was contacted by Dollie who told me that I would not receive as much aftercare as others as I had only paid £550 for my photos. Sorry thought my daughter has been selected as a Model for them to promote so why shouldn't she get the same aftercare as others. In fact we have had no aftercare at all apart from a list of Model Agencies to contact myself. Total Scam and these are not the only ones out there. Really wish I had not of paid them £550.00 I feel totally stupid and my daughter is in bits as she really thought they were a real agency that was going to find her work as they gave her all the flannel about being a natural and the camera loved her etc etc. SCAMMMERS

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY...

Do not entertain these people. They are out to get whatever they can off you whether its a few hundred quid or or if u get truly sucked in you will be looking at thousands. They prey on the dreams of people to get into the marketplace but as soon as they have your money, (which is pressure sales at its best), you won't hear anything else from them. I paid £400 and hassled them for months afterwards but to no avail.

STAY CLEAR THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A PHOTO STUDIO THAT TELL YOU THEY HAVE LINKS TO THE TOP FASHION CHAINS (Burberry etc) BUT SEEMINGLY DO NOTHING AFTER THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.

Their phone is hardly ever answered when you are trying to chase them up and i had 'aftercare' phone appointments missed and photographs that were supposedly touched up eventually turn up after months of phone calls. No doubt they will pop up as someone else before long...LFM U MAKE ME SICK!!!!

I feel that the quality of the pictures is nothing special and could have been achieved by me at home with a normal digital camera.

As for all of the 5 star ratings that you have listed here I would take these with not just a punch of salt but the whole salt cellar...utter rubbish

Not legit company, stole £358 out of bank

On the 19th June I got a phone call from LFM telling me I had huge potential and that they want me to come down to do a photo shoot. They told me I had to pay a deposit of £50 that would be refunded on the day, I then found out they took £358 out my bank without my permission! I was in tears panicking and had to ring the bank and cancel my card just to find out this whole company wasn't legit. I have only turned 19 and felt so low after going all through this. I never got the £358 back, yet bank wouldn't even help me. How are this company getting away with this? They must be stopped as this is happening to so many young girls.

My daughter attended on 22 July 2017 and she was selected for the international team. She was in tears as I couldn't afford the big package however negotiated £200 and was accepted. Heard nothing since and left repeat messages. She is distraught and I have no idea what to tell her. Would like to think that someone will come back to me today. Don't get mr wrong the shout was brilliant and the treatment but after care has been terrible. Hopefully I might get a response to this.

Really wish we had done more research …

Really wish we had done more research before parting with our money. Have been trying to contact for several months and not had a response. Would not recommend this company - very much feels like a money making scam. Have reported to BBC Watchdog. Having being doing a little research on several sites it seems we are not the only ones to be dissatisfied!!! I also find it interesting that they do not have a review page on their FaceBook site.

Unsure about LFM

Had a shoot with LFM on the 19th June in which they told me I was selected. However, once being selected they tell you you have to pay for a portfolio which starts at £750- quite an unexpected shock being a huge sum of money. I didn't have the full sum of money on the day as I was unaware of the prices so set up a payment plan with the LFM. After paying part of the payment plan I was told someone would be in touch within a couple days to arrange my aftercare phonecall, after a month later I have received nothing from the company. I've sent numerous phonecalls and emails and no reply whatsoever. Can someone advice me on what to do? Is this standard protocol for the company or should I contact trading standards and the the police?

LFM modeling

my parents took me at April time and we had a shoot which was personally brilliant. great make up and hair and really good photographers. furthermore, we did get the £50 deposits back however you had to pay a lot of money to get started. it was all fine in the first month we had call and emails however know nothing is happening the agency wont pick up calls and nothing is happening. even though my portfolio and shot was good its all starting to feel like a scam..

£50 plus travel down could have been worse!!

Turned up to what was TOLD was going to be a shoot as they had someone lined up, explained I had no money to front as was stung by another company last year make my 5 year old do the shoot which she loved! To tell me she was everything they wanted and they had a job ready and waiting for her but wanted 6k!! Considering I explained numberous times I wasn't there to front with cash and the people wanted her then surely they would front for her shoot! Very disappointed been 3 weeks now and guess what didn't get deposit back either! If you go there for an expensive portfolio then your in the right place if you go there for a career not so much unless you can part with thousands of pounds!!

My LFM experience

My experience on the day was amazing, was great to get the feel of being a model for the day. I passed the assessment process with 9 out of 10 yes' which was a great feeling. Whether that be true I'm unsure, made me feel great though :) Since then I have spoken to my 'model consultant' Rosie and sent off my measurements and am now awaiting my next meeting over the phone to go through my photos on Friday. On occasions it's been very hard to get through to you guys, but I'm aware you are very busy with other clients. Although the guy I spoke to who told me I passed I'm sure his name was Will? He told me he would be in contact with me within 3 weeks and have a shoot ready for me and that I'm one of his models.. maybe he just had the gift at making you feel great, that's my only reason to be doubtful as he hasnt been in contact since. But I'm excited to see what comes my way and fingers crossed I'm successful. London Fashion Models, thanks for boosting my confidence!!

I had my shoot today having had a phone …

I had my shoot today having had a phone call from Ben saying I had got through, so me and my partner paid the 50 deposit, we came all the way from the Isle of Wight now I'm really worried even the guy Ben that called me passed me on to a lady after the payment she said we have people interested in me already now I'm thinking as reading these comments Lfm shouldn't have shown anyone until I payed which we were told we didn't have to pay for the portfolio on the day. The shoot went well til I had got through we had a silver package for 750 although we didn't know we had to pay on the day could only afford 100 until pay day so have payed 150 and need to pay the 600 extra but reading all these comments is making me think this is a scam !! I can't believe this as I'm thinking do I go to trading standards?! Please help

Rosalinde thanks

It must be a joke

Ok, seriously it is not funny. You withdrew my money on the 23rd of February and since that time I can't even get a reply from you. You use naivety of young girls (me included) for your own business. It is extremely unfair and unprofessional. I hope that people who read it never have this doubtful pleasure of working with you.

P.S. PLEASE REFUND ME FINALLY
