I rode this morning on 5/22/26 in Florida where my initial quoted price was $109 asking me to wait 45-50 minutes so I chose that option. There was another option with 18 minutes wait for $119. I accep... See more

Lyft is an absolute joke and they lie
Lyft is an absolute joke! Don't waste your time with this terrible company. You get charged extra for choosing "priority pickup" which is supposed to be faster but it's a scam. Never fails the app tells you a ride is 4 mins away, then when you book all of a sudden it's 11 minutes away, or the driver just doesn't get closer and before you know it you've been waiting more than 10 minutes. Also, drivers are consistently rude and cars dirty, yet every driver has a 5 star rating, seems fishy to me.
My first and final time using Lyft
My first and final time using Lyft. I got a Lyft to take my mom to the doctor and when I got to the payment part it would not accept my Venmo card so I used my cash app card. Then I realized they charged both of my cards. I contacted customer service and was basically told oh well there's nothing they can do. I had to get back home so I got another Lyft and wouldn't you know they charged both cards again. NEVER use Lyft they will steal your money and tell you morning they can do. And I was charged $8.23 going but coming back the same trip was $14.91. Shitty customer service and they don't deserve to be in business. Just ripping people off and telling you to deal with it. If I could give negative stars I would.
Lyft has really gone down hill
Lyft has really gone down hill. Not only with the ridiculous surge pricing they charge. But some how the drivers all have very smelly cars.
NEVER EVER DRIVE FOR LYFT!!!!!
NEVER EVER DRIVE FOR LYFT I DOUBT IF ITS EVEN A CORPORATION @ this point! and not some homeboys in the basement somewhere running this thing Globally. So my week on feb 3rd came to an abrupt end when a car i rented through them decided to not recognize the key fob in-front of a pick up. I tried like hell to get it to work even door dashed the correct battery upon research. It Proved a no go so the customer cancels and im left waiting on battery & AAA the car is returned to Hertz no damage no trash. Full refund intact! Now this is where it gets interesting i only worked 2 days i had 299.70 in my Lyft driver app so I assume they would take two days for rental fees the fee is $427 a week after tax. Thats $61 a day
Can anyone explain why Lyft took $200 & had the nerve to come back 3 days later and take $56 more than immediately tried to take another $11.76 just really sleazy money grubbing behavior its pathetic they can blame it on a system Glitch but in reality it was a design absolutely perfect for what their doing. its the 18th of February and i still haven’t received my money yet so I called and explain to them just like Ive just explained to you that Hertz released my money on the 6th and only $200 is coming back not taken from them but due to Lyft taking $150 like what?! How or why in the world would a ride share company be taking money for a rental that’s already covered ? when their only job is to provide a job ? Moving forward: they always tell you to expect an email that you never receive. It’s like it’s a script a systematic script as if they were selling penny stock. I knew in my head that they were gonna come back on the phone and tell me that someone will email me in 2 days because they don’t have answers as usual so yeah, real fiber optic basement vibes. They never have to worry about me driving for them AGAIN EVER !!! BTW They (TAKE HALF OF EVERY RIDE!!!! ) not a weekly percentage just gonna put that out there ….. if u were thinking about or ever doing business for that matter save yourself the grief thank God for Uber!!! So what have i learned if nothing else from this experience? if they absolutely go out of their way to avoid talking to you, if the interface was designed by someone with limited knowledge on user friendly apps & proper feedback loops for real communication I probably shouldn’t be doing business with them anyway . Thanks trust pilot for expressing my experience with LYFT
Made a difference to our holiday - so easy
Downloaded the app before visiting Florida from the UK. Used it all the time, all drivers and cars were great - really reliable. Timed updates were accurate and had choices of availability- did find it better for On Demand travel but a bit pricey for scheduling ahead
Driver spoke no English
Driver spoke no English, took us to the wrong hotel, charged us $23 plus dollars for a 1.3 mile ride. Our hotel a Hampton Inn was approx. 8 miles from pickup which is why we agreed to the higher fare. Tried to tell driver it was the wrong hotel. Just got out and call for Uber, never use Lyft again!!!
The app knowingly has sent my driver to…
The app knowingly has sent my driver to a location a half a mile away from me and then fines me for my inability to get to them in under 5 minutes. LYFT is RUN by CRIMINALS
Got in a text fight with the lift…
Got in a text fight with the lift driver. They won't pick you up where you are, but where they won't you to go to be pick up. Take a cab and save yourself time.
Just a poor company honestly
Just a poor company honestly! Always tacking on unnecessary fees with an even worse customer service!
I love Lyft!!
I love Lyft!!! It helps me make financial ends meet. At first it was a little confusing. But once you learn the app it's a piece of cake. I have learned to be ready and patient. I accept every ride that is sent to me and I follow the directions that is on the Lyft app, even if I think I know a better way, which I don't.( I am directionally challenged). I work in the am and I really appreciate the fares I get. Whoever works the AM shift is great!
That I was put in dangerous situations and nothing has been done about it yet
There's has been many rides I had in lift that was troubling The one's where the drivers wouldn't take me to where I was supposed to go and they put me out one of lift me in a area I didn't know He smelled of alcohol. This is when I lived on 27 th St. The one that just happened last week with the female Bobbi she just refused to even listen when the dispatch from sooner ride said yes that it was down that she was supposed to go to 5401 Another time was when I was on my phone because Ive been to the address before with know problem but when I looked up from my phone he was going some where else now to think about it happened more times but when I told him he didn't listen he kept going next thing you know he was on the high way he wanted to see where it was taking me and it was going to the other 5401 address. Then yesterday they sent lift 2/11/2026 the tire was almost on a flat and we had just came off the highway when the car pulled up behind us he was pointing at something trying to get the drivers attention I told him he pointing at something he rolled down the window the guy told him his tire was flat what shocked me is when the diver said he knew. So was lift trying to kill me by sending that driver is these things coincidences. I had him to drop me off before my destination because that tire could have blew. I want be giving any more tips the ones that didn't get tips is because I didn't have the the but when I got some money I did the to go back in to give you a tip but it wouldn't let me. And lift I have noticed that y'all not putting down right where y'all picking me up at and dropping me off at my drop off place isn't at 1405 or 06 it's 1457 what I paid for. I would try to sue y'all for what y'all been putting me through but it seems y'all running in the same pack greed.
Don't trust the Lyft drivers.
We were lefting standing at our pickup site by JayKely..White Bronco in Raliegh NC after the hockey game dispite pre booking our pickup with Lyft. The driver instead let others take our pickup ,dispite us waiving our pickup and the tracking site on our phone . The driver cancelled the ride as it drove away. We complained to Lyft and it seems that this behaviour is within the Lyft Driver Code of Conduct. They gave no reason except that they were "SOOO..RRY. This response alone, should be enough for you to chose another ride company...one that has integrity and holds their drivers to high customer service ...not just taking your money.
They are so bad and ignorant about…
They are so bad and ignorant about drivers how he go true bad experience with useless riders
If only I could give them ZERO …
OMG If I could give zero it would be more fitting. this horrible company do yourself a favore and run away . They left us after 40 minutes of waiting and took another person next to me that offered on the spot more .Just looked me in the eyes and drove away with him .its a jungle behavior.
Driver cancelled my ride and charged me
Waited in the pickup spot for 15 minutes in JFK then got cancelled by the driver during heavy traffic. They charged me the cancellation fee and refused to refund after my dispute. Stay away.
Waited 20 mins
Waited 20 mins, only to have the ride canceled. I was late to work!
LYFT OR UBER?
Lyft is overrated they don't know how to treat there customers especially when they have a complaint some drivers are friendly very respectful then you have those that just don't give a f..k about driving to fast then they try to over charge you but that's not what this is about about how you dispute something you outright win the dispute and they want to give you credit toward your next ride but check this out I was charged from my credit they overcharged me I disputed and I won my dispute and they put Lyft cash instead of putting my money back on to my credit card and I go to use the Lyft cash they tell me I can't use it and it's been over a month now then when you call customer service they put you on the phone with a dam computer not what kind of business is that how is a computer going to resolve my issue like I said some drivers are cool but the rest are really unprofessional if I had to do it again I most definitely would have chose Uber that's real stuff and for the person that over charged me get a life
Applied for a job with Lyft as a side…
Applied for a job with Lyft as a side hustle and they denied me because of very minor misdemeanor from 5 years ago. Yet they’ll hire illegals who don’t even know the rules of the roads in this country. Unreal
This company is crooked im lyft driver…
This company is crooked im lyft driver and they riped of their drivers with cancelation fees and when you try to dispute they delete the ride from the history and try to tell you that you imagine the ride and erase all records that way they keep your money their customer service is the worst never experiment any worst customer service them lyft if you thinking!about being lyft driver please reconsideration unless you like getting ripped of they are scun bags thiefts
If I could give them a zero I would I…
If I could give them a zero I would I was picked up on January 4, 2026 by a Lyft driver who is taking me to the airport drop me off at United Airlines at the terminal on which they instructed me on my ticket. For some reason this driver went off and he said that he was gonna drop me where at United but not at the drop off that United Airlines specified. When I disagreed the driver pulled his car over in the middle of LAX and told me to get out of his car and when I refused, he called 911 and reported me as seen I was being unreasonable. I never raised my voice at him at all. This was all supposed to be recorded. I reported it to Lyft and they did nothing. I offered the Lyft driver $20 because I said I was not getting out of the car. He claims he doesn’t do this for the money but apparently he does. He did drop me off at the terminal, but the trauma had already been installed in Me on my vacation trip for my birthday to Cancun and Lyft did nothing. The trip cost $44 to have me harassed. Verbally abused, and traumatized right before I was to get on a plane to celebrate my 65th birthday. This is deplorable.
