non existent communication

horrible communication. i bought a hood for my car, no communication whatsoever. was told i would receive a call to set up an appointment time (never did), called customer service and they said there was no number left for them—which i know is incorrect. customer service call itself was great, he made sure to take my information and get my package here earlier in the day before i had to go to work. delivery was horrible, on the call i was told they’d call 30 minutes prior to dropping it off. that did not happen. there was also supposed to be a signature required, as it’s a big and expensive item. no knock at the door, or doorbell rung, left the item a significant distance from the door. the box was damaged and partly opened, thankfully no damage to the hood itself!! i didnt have a choice in the company who was delivering, but now i know in the future to avoid an item if its maersk doing the job.

Don’t believe what their employees tell you.

I ordered a sectional from Sam’s Club. It was a Serta sleeper sectional. They hired.Maersk to deliver. I received a message saying it was going to be delivered on February 10. I called them because I was expecting my delivery on the third. When I found out that it was going to be left in the lobby of my new apartment I requested to refuse it. I was told that someone would call me in advance and that I could talk to the drivers about bringing it up since I’m 64 years old and could not get it up myself.

Fast-forward I got a message saying that my delivery was happening while I was sitting in an airport in Denver. I called the company and told them I wanted to refuse the delivery. I also expressed my issue that I was supposed to get a phone call and they were supposed to schedule with me as per my first call to the company. I was told they would reschedule the delivery for two days later and that he would send it with a crew of two people so that they could get it up to my apartment for me. I thanked him for his kindness and was feeling blessed.

When the day came for delivery, I received a message from Sam’s Club saying it was already delivered. I left work went to the apartment and this massive boxes were just left blocking the entire Mail room of my apartment complex. As I am a new tenant, I felt very badly about it.

I ended up opening the boxes and trying to take it up in pieces subsequently, I hurt my back in my shoulder and all I wanted to do was just refuse the delivery. I want to refuse it before they even had it in their hands and they would not allow me to do so.

After talking to two employees, my take from this company is do not believe what they tell you because they do not mean it. I would never order anything or have it delivered by their company again. I guess I’m going to have to be more careful in knowing who is doing the delivering when I order from trusted companies

Do hundreds of containers with this…

As an organization we ship hundreds of containers predominantly 20 foot open top with maersk this group per year + 2 million usd turnover .

The sad truth of it is that the surface is close to 0 . Nor can we see that we fundamentally treated differently than someone who would ship one container. There seems to be an ongoing issue within this organization, where the lack of integrity and operational rottenness prevails .
We noticed this where we deliberately get charged extra charges on the daily basis. You would expect any organization to pick up on this and to improve this. Maersk has decided nonetheless to make incorrect invoices part of their auxiliary income stream . I never see an organization that throws out one out of three invoices on an incorrect basis and expect you to correct their mistakes and often without results so you end up rewarding their faults.
It has become clear to me that this is on an organized skill. I’m also questioning why are governments as much in the European Union ass in the USA or in Asia allowing such a illegal behavior .

The shipping lines have gone through a vertical integration, which is unheard of . For example through APM terminals explored ports is one of the major container carriers and refuses to handover the Cargo to independent transporters. Once the Cargo has reached the final destination .
Can you imagine an airline which is allowed to explore airports and the railways at the time?
I think this requires a change in votes for who run our political landscape and breaking up of the container lines

Not even a one star

Not even a one star. The second try for pick up at my house was a no show again. They promised to be there the same day they called to confirm and there was no truck. This time they are supposed to be here today. They just told be again over the phone that they would be here today. I'll believe it when I see it.

No respect for anyone's time.

As of right now, I have no idea where my piece of furniture is that was supposed to be delivered today during a scheduled 3-hour window. After hearing nothing more than an hour after that window closed, I was on hold and finally got through to someone who sent an email to the local carrier. There was no response and I followed up on the chain with multiple contacts cc'd. The delivery day is now over and I was told they don't deliver on weekends. I had to schedule my day around this and the delivery is a $300+ item. I'm not available to rearrange my entire work day for a package that probably won't arrive, so my only option is a week from today. This item is also sold out and if I ever get it, I wouldn't be surprised if it's damaged and all of this was a waste of time. Unbelievable unprofessional.

Maersk is the shipper used by Wayfair

Maersk is the shipper used by Wayfair. The experience was so bad -- cancelling delivery dates, rescheduling them without consulting me, completely ignoring Wayfair's delivery instructions -- I ended up cancelling the Wayfair furniture order amounting to $1700. Maybe if Wayfair loses enough money, they'll find another shipper. These people are a joke.

Problems time and time again

Problems time and time again. Goods defective, sometimes completely destroyed or soaked.

The drivers deliver the goods to the recipient anyway and are then at a loss as to how to deal with them.

Maersk is a total failure as a transport company.

I don’t even think they deserve a 1 star rating with the customer experience I encountered.
Delivery guy pretty much left my large package at the bottom of the stairs because it was too heavy to bring up. I’m 110 of woman. When I told the guy if he can help me bring it up, he pretty much said “not his problem, took the package off the dolly and to call Walmart” Walmart was more helpful then the representative that I spoke to from this company. I tried to explain to the rep from this company “as a worker, why didn’t the driver go above and beyond knowing I needed assistance?” The representative pretty much said to also call Walmart to maybe get a refund. I just wanted help bring my package up the stairs,
