Do hundreds of containers with this…

As an organization we ship hundreds of containers predominantly 20 foot open top with maersk this group per year + 2 million usd turnover .

The sad truth of it is that the surface is close to 0 . Nor can we see that we fundamentally treated differently than someone who would ship one container. There seems to be an ongoing issue within this organization, where the lack of integrity and operational rottenness prevails .
We noticed this where we deliberately get charged extra charges on the daily basis. You would expect any organization to pick up on this and to improve this. Maersk has decided nonetheless to make incorrect invoices part of their auxiliary income stream . I never see an organization that throws out one out of three invoices on an incorrect basis and expect you to correct their mistakes and often without results so you end up rewarding their faults.
It has become clear to me that this is on an organized skill. I’m also questioning why are governments as much in the European Union ass in the USA or in Asia allowing such a illegal behavior .

The shipping lines have gone through a vertical integration, which is unheard of . For example through APM terminals explored ports is one of the major container carriers and refuses to handover the Cargo to independent transporters. Once the Cargo has reached the final destination .
Can you imagine an airline which is allowed to explore airports and the railways at the time?
I think this requires a change in votes for who run our political landscape and breaking up of the container lines

Not even a one star

Not even a one star. The second try for pick up at my house was a no show again. They promised to be there the same day they called to confirm and there was no truck. This time they are supposed to be here today. They just told be again over the phone that they would be here today. I'll believe it when I see it.

I scheduled a delivery for the 28th of January 2026 and the order still shows out for delivery on the 31st. You can't get a live person and their BS AI just hangs up on me. Worst ever!

No respect for anyone's time.

As of right now, I have no idea where my piece of furniture is that was supposed to be delivered today during a scheduled 3-hour window. After hearing nothing more than an hour after that window closed, I was on hold and finally got through to someone who sent an email to the local carrier. There was no response and I followed up on the chain with multiple contacts cc'd. The delivery day is now over and I was told they don't deliver on weekends. I had to schedule my day around this and the delivery is a $300+ item. I'm not available to rearrange my entire work day for a package that probably won't arrive, so my only option is a week from today. This item is also sold out and if I ever get it, I wouldn't be surprised if it's damaged and all of this was a waste of time. Unbelievable unprofessional.

Maersk is the shipper used by Wayfair

Maersk is the shipper used by Wayfair. The experience was so bad -- cancelling delivery dates, rescheduling them without consulting me, completely ignoring Wayfair's delivery instructions -- I ended up cancelling the Wayfair furniture order amounting to $1700. Maybe if Wayfair loses enough money, they'll find another shipper. These people are a joke.

Problems time and time again

Problems time and time again. Goods defective, sometimes completely destroyed or soaked.

The drivers deliver the goods to the recipient anyway and are then at a loss as to how to deal with them.

Maersk is a total failure as a transport company.

I don’t even think they deserve a 1 star rating with the customer experience I encountered.
Delivery guy pretty much left my large package at the bottom of the stairs because it was too heavy to bring up. I’m 110 of woman. When I told the guy if he can help me bring it up, he pretty much said “not his problem, took the package off the dolly and to call Walmart” Walmart was more helpful then the representative that I spoke to from this company. I tried to explain to the rep from this company “as a worker, why didn’t the driver go above and beyond knowing I needed assistance?” The representative pretty much said to also call Walmart to maybe get a refund. I just wanted help bring my package up the stairs,

10+ Days Delay Due to Maersk's Own Manifest Error – Storage Fees >$2,200 and Rising

A diplomatic shipment for the Luxembourg Consulate General (BL 257786463 / UETU2981880) arrived in Oakland on Dec 8, 2025, with freight fully prepaid since Dec 3.
Maersk's internal Master/House Bill mismatch has blocked release despite multiple amendments and follow-ups from us (Africa Move), our US partner Brimar Relocation, and the client directly.
Maersk has acknowledged the error by extending demurrage, yet terminal storage charges now exceed $2,200 and continue to accrue.
We simply ask for a fair and swift resolution, including waiver of charges caused by Maersk's mistake. Disappointed so far.
1 star (for now – happy to update upon resolution)

Missed appointments; no communication

This is a terrible company. I ordered a TV from California to Pennsylvania. The delivery tracking had little transparency. I would call for updates but the Philadelphia office rarely answers. When they do, they are of little help. They never call back when I leave voicemails. Once the TV arrived, it was the wrong one, so I had to schedule a return. Maersk missed the first scheduled pickup because they lacked authorization to enter my home even with me present, which made 0 sense. Once they got authorization, they missed two scheduled pickups two consecutive days without any notice. Again, my calls often go to voicemail with no call back, or if someone answers, there is always assurance things will get handled, but they do not. I still sit here with the wrong TV, delaying my refund by who knows how long.

Failed Pickup, False Claims, Zero Accountability

Maersk failed to pick up my package two days in a row despite me providing the correct address and phone number.

What went wrong:

Day 1: Maersk claimed they attempted pickup and that no one was home. This is false. I have security cameras—no driver ever came.

Day 2: I was instructed to leave the package on my front doorstep for the entire pickup window. I did. No pickup, no call, no text, despite Maersk having my phone number.

After finally reaching customer service (after an unreasonably long wait), I learned Maersk had internally changed my address by adding an extra letter, creating a nonexistent address, then blamed the failed pickup on that error.

Summary:
Maersk altered my address, went to the wrong place, falsely claimed attempts, never contacted me, and wasted multiple days of my time due entirely to their own incompetence.

I cannot believe Amazon uses Maersk for pickup services. Thankfully Amazon canceled Maersk and arranged another carrier.

If you value your time or expect basic professionalism, avoid Maersk pickups.

Awful Service

Awful timelines. No customer service. They never got back to me. Scheduled a delivery appointment on their own when we were closed and now they won't deliver for another week. This company's incompetency is astonishing. I do not recommend.
