HORRENDOUS Customer service on a broken bike after 3 weeks

I received Bomma 27.5 inch Spottie Peach Wheelie Bike on 5/14/24, had it assembled and inspected by Brands Cycle on 5/21/24, and picked it up on 5/28/24. Unfortunately, on 6/19/24, the bike experienced a significant failure when the thread attaching the rotor to the rear wheel snapped, rendering the bike unusable. The bike shop indicated that the issue most likely had been due to a manufacturing defect, particularly noting the absence of blue thread lock on the rotor bolt.

Despite this bike being practically new, and having only been ridden for three weeks, the response from Stomp after sales indicated that the damage is not covered under warranty. I find this decision highly unsatisfactory given the potential safety risk involved and the high cost of the bike.

I was offered a replacement wheel kit that does not match the bike's original color scheme, which I find unacceptable. Additionally, the black wheel kit, which would have been an appropriate replacement, is not available until September well after the incident occurred at a cost of $70 to me and that I would also have to find a rotor myself as they do not have that. Poor customer service and still no resolution.

Mafia Bomma free-wheel hub failure sorted

Mafia Bomma free-wheel hub failed - the support guys sent parts immediately but unfortunately didn’t fix the issue. A second call and dealt with Danny (the manager) - extremely friendly and helpful - customer service was great - complete new wheel on the way heavily discounted. Genuinely felt like their focus was on getting us back on two wheels as soon as possible with minimal cost and hassle. For me they were 10 out of 10. Rob

Good bike unless you’ve got a problem

Bike was supplied with.a chain which broke before it had even left the house. Company (Stomp Distribution) refused to replace the bike, and offered to try and send me a chain which I would have to take and get fitted at my own expense, or alternatively return the bike at my own expense. Guy I spoke to accused me of breaking the chain add would not accept any responsibility.

I reluctantly purchased a Mafia Bomma…

I reluctantly purchased a Mafia Bomma bike for my sons 13th birthday. I wanted him to have a proper mountain bike but he insisted that he wanted of these because all of his mates have them.

Upon delivery I built the bike (it doesn’t come fully assembled) by following the instructions.

My son hadn’t had the bike for two full days before the rear disc brake sheared off. This isn’t a one off because one my sons friends had exactly the same thing happen to his Bomma.

I contacted Mafia who told me because I hadn’t taken the bike to a bike shop to check it over before it was ridden they were not prepared to send out replacement parts. They said that this in their small print that the bike must go for an inspection before it is ridden. This amazed me because I think the least you can expect is the bike to be built properly ready to go. I must emphasise that the fault was on the rear disc not on any part that I had to build when the bike was delivered.

These bikes definitely aren’t worth the money that Mafia charge for them. They are a fashion accessory rather than a serious bike.

Ordered 2 bike in Novemer 2022

Ordered 2 bike in Novemer 2022. One of the bikes was supplied with only 1 bolts out of 6. We contacted Mafia aftersales and were posted the bolts. We had the bolts professional fitted and within a handful of times riding it, the bolts had all fallen out and sheared through the bolt holes now meaning we need a whole new wheel. Mafia have continously blamed us for everything and will not help.

Poor customer service

Can’t seem to put a review on here!

Not impressed with Mafia Bikes at all. Ordered a Bomma bike off then cost £449… paid £7 extra for a PDI.

Bike came & my son used it for not even a week & the brake stopped working. I got in touch with them to let them know & was told to take the bike in for a PDI (which I had already paid for so not sure why I had to do this again) Took the bike to Halfords & was told that the bike is not Road legal as it only has one brake on it & so they refused to look at it.

Have tried to contact Mafia Bikes regarding this & I’ve had lack of communication from them. One email asking me some information & that’s it. The bike is still sitting in my hallway unable to be used. So £456 down the drain!

I bought a blackjack d jump bike

I bought a blackjack d jump bike. The suspension fork bent after a handful of rides. Mafia bikes sent me a replacement set of forks, which they said were upgraded. The new forks were worse than the old ones, not better.
I have complained to mafiabikes about this and they dont seem interested, and said the bike is only a beginner bike so the forks are good enough basically.
I have since inspected both sets of forks and they both have a sticker on saying "do jot use for dirt jumping", when the bike is specifically sold for that purpose.
My brother also has a blackjack d, that je bought on my recommendation, before I had the issue. He has checked his forks and the sticker has been removed, I assume to hide the fact that the bike is not fit for purpose.

Dont buy one of these bikes, they are an absolute liability. They are not safe to use and mafiabikes know this. Mafia bikes are happy to be putting their customers at risk. Avoid at all costs.

Mafia super kush is amazing

I was skeptical about these bikes because of the cheap price, everything you get with the super kush would cost 200$ more anywhere else. But I got the bike and it surprised me and was an amazing bike for 169$ I have no idea how they do it or why everyone isn't buying bikes from them.

I wouldn't waste your hard earned money…

I wouldn't waste your hard earned money to line someone else's pockets.
Ordered 2 bikes. 1 for myself, 1 for my son.
Built mine up the day after it arrived. Problem straight the way. Dodgy freewheel and hub. Sent emails back and forth containing pictures, videos and descriptions. They want you to go get it checked by a independent bike mechanic so they can determine what the issue is.
Built my son's BMX up. Bent sprocket meaning the chain goes tight and then loose as you crank the pedals.
Didn't bother emailing about my son's bike. Not worth the effort. I'll fix it.
So if you want a cheap bike that's broken as soon as you open the box and touch it, get a Mafia. You will be spending more money like I have to to get it riding decent.

Mafia blackjack

Purchased a mafia blackjack online for my sons birthday
Good delivery time arrived nice and early.
When I finally took it out of the box to put it together the bike had a fault with the front cog .
Wasn't impressed so went through the warranty route .sent pics and video and was soon sorted .
Mafia sent a replacement cog and that was fitted by my local bike shop
Good solid bike . Shame it wasn't checked over properly to save the aggro .
Good after sales service . Highly recommend
