All smiles at the desk. 1. Not the car we booked, in fact they don't rent that model....why is it on the website then? We got a SHED on wheels, far too wide for Tuscan roads. 2. No SAT... See more

Do not use these!!
Do not use these!!! Husband booked a car from these through a booking company - clearly he missed these reviews… our plane was delayed , then had to wait until the staff re-opened after a lengthy lunch break , only to be told they’d let the car we specifically asked for (we were 2 adults, 2 children, skis, ski boots and a suitcase so needed plenty of room) to someone else !!! They offered us 2 alternatives, which they were told by their colleague that was still cleaning the smaller car we were allocated , were too small. And told us there was no alternative. Luckily the lovely Valentino from the shuttle bus company arranged another hire car from Turin centre and bus tickets and taxi to the hire car offices
*** DO NOT RENT FROM THEM*****
#####Do not trust them#####
We rented a car and upon return they claim we put a chip in the windshield. They said they would send a picture of the car when we drove out of the lot showing there was no chip they have yet to do that. They proceeded to bill my credit card $652 And continued to bill me $52 for reasons unknown. This is a shady car rental company by all means do not rent from them.
Big MAGGIORE scam
I hired a car for a week from the end of August to beginning of September. Dropped the car off early in the morning before their office had opened. Strangely enough when I was picking up the car I enquired about drop off, because my coach was leaving at 6am and their office only opened at 8am. I was told that I could drop off the car, but that it would remain my responsibility until the drop off office opened. the Maggiore representative then continued to inform me that if the car was damaged, I could pay the damages and then be refunded by my insurance. I found this very strange but had no choice at this point and took the car into my possession.
Of course, right on cue, I drop the car off a week later in the drop off location at 5:30am and just after their office opens I receive an email from Maggiore telling me that the car had been recuperated with damages. Unbelievable. I had taken photos of the car when I'd left it, but they still sent me a letter and invoice re the amount they expected me to pay for the repairs.
Sometime after I received a debt collection letter from Intrum, so I paid the amount which didn't match their invoice. I had to telephone Maggiore to ask for an invoice matching the amount I had paid so I could be reimbursed by the insurance I'd taken out. They then inform me that there were other fines; the car I had rented had received speeding tickets in the period during which I had rented it!!!!!! I couldn't believe it.
It's horrible. Of course, there is no way I can prove that this is not true. They have charged me 48 euros for administration for each ticket, and have informed me that the Italian police will be contacting me with the fine amounts and reasons..... Great, the nightmare continues.
I truly believe that this is a scam, I know that the car was not damaged when I left it at the drop off point, I also know that I did not infringe any traffic regulations, I know the speeding limit and respect it and didn't park anywhere where it was forbidden. Why on earth would anyone choose to incur traffic violations on a rented car? But of course it's my word against theirs.
This is truly a horrible ending to a beautiful holiday in Tuscany, and I will probably never ever rent a car in Italy again.
I would definitely never ever use Maggiore again. I think they have the lowest prices as a way of enticing customers and then they scam them with these false claims. Simply disgusting. They need to be stopped, it's just sickening.
Unacceptable behaviour
None information about the traffic restrictions. And you charged me extra euros after 3 months (!!!) without to inform me the reason for that!! Unacceptable behaviour from you!!
Disappointed and Frustrated
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Maggiore (Flex) regarding the deposit refund. It has been nearly 2 weeks since I returned the car, but I have not yet received my deposit back. Additionally, the car I rented had extensive damage throughout the body, making its condition absolutely horrible. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend anyone to hire a car from this company. I hope sharing this information will assist others in making their decision when considering renting a car from Maggiore (Flex).
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM I wish I had seen all the bad reviews
Wish I had seen all the bad reviews before...
I don't know how a company like that is allowed to operate in the European Union.
We have been charged 3 times the rental amount for non-existent damage, and we have the photos of the car to prove it.
We need to file a class action lawsuit to seek damages for all those who, like us, have had money stolen from them. It's an outrageous fraud.
CHARGES 2 MONTHS LATER
I drop the car off to Maggiore Bergamo and everything was settled two months ago. Today, I checked my balance and a charge of 48.80 euros had been done from Maggiore without reason and without informing me first!! They are frauds and theives. I contacted my bank and they said that if I do not recognize this transaction, they can revert it, so do the same! What a fraud company you are, I wish you closed forever
Scammers
This outfit have taken money from my account. I've never dealt with them and didn't know what they were until I googled. I was ripped off by another rental car agency called Car flexi recently so they're sister fraud companies. Don't touch them.
I rented a car to pick up according to…
I rented a car to pick up according to reservation " Please collect your car the MAGGIORE RENT A CAR office located in the arrivals hall at Florence Airport. My flight arrived on time, and there is no office at the airport as per reservation. I was forced to take a bus to the MAGGIORE office, when I arrived, there was no rental car, but a very small one, they informed me that it was DoyouItaly's fault, there is no rental car office at the airport, they did not accept the complaint. I was forced to rent from another rent-a-car for a very high price. I didn't arrive in Pisa in time to check into the apartment and I was forced to go to a hotel. Return my payment.
Took money from my card 2 months after settling accounts
This is a very badly managed company which caused delays in giving me the rental which I had pre-booked (forty min wait at Naples) and took money from my bank account two months later, despite having settled all accounts with them.
They are, simply put, organised financial criminals.
Stick with the big names when travelling. EUROPCAR or SIXT are brilliant.
Oh, and please ignore the pointless generic reply from them below this review. They really are useless!
Watch out!
They are charging me money 4 month after the rental finished, and with NO explanation.

Be careful this company charge you for damage that already was on the car.
But they are so stupid and don’t know that people make pictures of the car.
Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs. Hundreds of euros of hidden fees. Charges us more to upgrade to bigger vehicle (because they did not have the vehicle we booked available and not because we requested an upgrade). Waited for 2 hours for service at the car collection at Catania in Sicilia.
Dodgy company
Dodgy company. They randomly charged my account almost 2 months after the car rental date, with no explanation as to what the charge related to. Dishonest behaviour, I would never use them again
Avoid this company
The car was fine; a small Lancia. However the charging process was opaque. Our original price rose from 179 euros when booked to 600 euros after we’d added a day for 38.67, a special monthly package (what even was this; we hired it for 2 weeks) for 98.35 euros, 80 euros for roadside assistance, 133 euros for an added driver and road tax 32,90 euros. This is a reasonably clear account of the spend but it was did not match and was incomprehensible on the rental agreement. The money was taken from my account as I’d given them access with no further explanation.
We had to wait for about 2 hours just…
We had to wait for about 2 hours just to get a car with 2 small kids it was so hard for me to wait at the airport!!
Then they have me a scratched and damaged car from everywhere!!
I returned the car in the same condition but they still charged me £200 without any notification or any email, I emailed to find out but they did not reply at all!!! They are scam!!!!
They should be banned from rental cars
PLEASE BAN THEM
THEY ARE JUST SCAMMING PEOPLE
I STRONGLY do not recommend this company
This company is deceiving customers.
The ordered car was not there, we had to wait 2 hours until they found a replacement. When returning the car, I recorded the condition of the car without damage. They also wrote off additional money for repairs. My emails with photos were not answered for 3 months. Through an intermediary they sent a photo with damage taken a day after returning the car and wrote that I could not prove that the car was returned without damage, although the photo was sent to them 3 times.
