uninstalled the program because i wasnt using it, and now it pops up with uncloseable ads right on my desktop. pop up ads are scummy at best so keep that away if you want a good rep

I should have read the reviews. Purchased Sound Forge 16 and can't get it installed. Went 3 rounds with customer service and still no install. Requested refund, no response.

Never. Do not engage this company.

The audio output is awful. I paid for the software yet I have to jump from one video editor to another to render with clear audio. Not to mention its poor ability to handle large files

I'm a youtuber named "Pro Edits" who has been making Vegas Pro tutorials for the past 5+ years. I'm responsible for driving thousands of Magix sales specifically that of Vegas Pro which are easily worth millions of dollars. After all these years of selfless service to the community and free marketing for Magix, I finally decide to come around and ask to become an official Magix affiliate. Guess what these ungrateful pieces of s-h-i-t do? They reject my application! This has made me lose trust in the company BIG TIME.
Their support is only available via email and for those who pay for their products. Reasonable but still terrible in terms of modern customer service standards.
Now on to the main topic, their product specifically Vegas Pro. They have turned it into a wasteland. It crashes,glitches and lags more then ever, ever since Magix took it over from Sony! By no means a "professional" editing software. Do yourself a favour and go for the likes of Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve or others and if you still decide to go for Vegas Pro, do not pay for the software. Crack it.

I've used Sony Sound Forge since version 4, 20 some years ago and Vegas since 2004.
Magix took over and BROKE both of them. Vegas glitches and crashes and the "improved" interface? Isn't. It will not even render simple fade transitions without stuttering!
Same goes for Sound Forge 12 which is MORE of a glitchy mess. I could list all the issues but there's too many.
And forget about TIMELY support.
Magix has done the impossible:
They suck AND blow at the same time!

I sent an email asking for my VEGAS subscription to be cancelled but we both know how that went. Here I am, a month later with money being taken without permission. No sign of Magix, of course. Oh well, I know where I'm getting my VEGAS now ;)

Update 1: They couldn't find my request. If I can prove I sent one, they "can probably offer a refund...". My subscription is now cancelled, apparently. Will update if more money is stolen.

Terrible experience program doesn't work and support wouldn't give me a refund for a broken program. Highly advise from going near this program if your making any serious projects.

Support won't treated you as if your valued they would rather lose a customer then cancel a subscription a day late.

Hungry company that hasn't aged well.... Shame.

Adobe. Go with a real company.

For me, MAGIX Samplitude and SOUND FORGE are the best tools in my audio production. I've bought it via Steam (which is created for games, not the software). They REMOVE older versions of software on Steam, maybe because of bad reputation or some licensing terms. But overall I had a great experience with MAGIX, customer service was fine too. Sure, there are bugs sometimes, the most annoying one is "error code -59", but sometimes you can find the solution on Internet. Please, try the software, before you buy it!

Theft and insults. That sums up Magix for me.

I doubt Magix care one bit , they tinker and play around with editing software and make things worse and then expect us all to forget it and buy the next version or subscribe...well the 2022 version is awful, instead of improvements it is ridiculous and simple tasks are prevneted, restricted or just don't work. DO NOT BUY OR SUBSCRIBE!

The software is a byzantine mess. Video and graphics packages have left me hanging on more than one occasion. Bloated garbage. "Authors" are more interested in collecting on updates than they are in maintaining (fixing) software. Caveat emptor.

Once some of the best video and audio software on the market has become bloated and unusable, glitchy, and unreliable. This is a buy at your own risk software. There is NO support. None. Nada. To even get to a support request you have to click through pages of FAQ and suggestions that are also no help before you can actually submit a support request. After you submit your request there isn't even an automatic email that lets you know your request has been submitted. I have used this software for 20 years...and I am now looking for a more reliable company. Because once you purchase, you are on your own.

Don't get me wront, this app is great for begginners and I have learned a lot over the past few days; however, the program is terrible when trying to load tracks you've already made in the past. I have not been able to play any of the 4 tracks I've made so far that have been saved to my computer. Therefore, best advice I can give at this point, use this app only for the free version to learn then I'd reccommend you find a more advanced program to record beats or songs you want to start promoting. This program will not satisfy you in the long run. Do not expect it to save your tracks or be able to play them in the future; I've learned from personal experience.

Daylight robbery from this bunch of charlatans. Do not buy their software!

Avoid Magix Video Pro X like you would avoid being violently turned inside out and dunked in salt. Avoid it like you would avoid smashing pint glasses into your own eyes. Avoid it like you would avoid drinking wet concrete. Avoid it like you would avoid incompetent bowel surgery carried out, without anaesthesia, by a blind gorilla with spinning razor blades bolted to his fingers.

I have now been using Magix Video Pro for 3 months and have spent so long sending crash reports and trying to edit a simple video that I've forgotten what the rest of my life was like. I used to enjoy editing footage and making videos. This is no longer true. Thanks, Magix!

The package crashes every few seconds and usually crashes again when you try to send a crash log. Nothing is ever done to rectify this. There is no customer support at all. If you require customer support you are directed to public forums where you are advised to create a support ticket. Nothing is ever done about the support ticket.

This is, without a doubt, the absolute worst product I have ever had the misfortune to use. An unmitigated disaster in pricing, function, quality, usability, stability and, customer support. Your time would be better spent shoving £300 in 1p coins up your rectum and lubricating each one with broken glass.

It beggars belief that a company of this kind can still operate. Clearly they do so by having a nice looking website that fools imbeciles like myself.

I have never had this much trouble cancelling anything. Screw. This.

Worst level of support that I've ever had.

As others have said Sony Vegas USED to be a good product when Sony owned it.

I upgraded to the latest version and it didn't work out of the box on a brand new high spec laptop.

I've had a support ticket open for 3 months now. They haven't suggested anything useful. It takes about 3 weeks on average for them to reply to each message.

Replies are very terse and very unhelpful. Just shocking.

If it works it's a good piece of software - sadly it doesn't.

I will never buy anything else from Magix. It's not even worth 1 star but it won't let me put 0.

This company and the product they sell is just horrible. They bought a wonderfull piece of software (sony vegas) and basically destroyed it. There is no way to get in touch with them, no answer other then automated stuff. Stay clear!
