I've had an out-of-warranty charging issue and Makeblock support really came through with their after-sales support. Highly recommended!

I thought I was missing the Bluetooth module.
Left email with support in middle of night.
Got a response to check the major circuit board. It was already installed from factory.
So far I have just unpacked and waiting for an opportunity to share with my mentees. If this is as I hope, it will be my SMART Academy mentoring teams new robot assembly and programming kit.

I own a $500 lego robot, if the product holds true it will be replaced by five megastar at the same price.

Ordered a CyberPi and when I got the product it would only work while plugged into a USB port. I contacted support and after some simple troubleshooting they sent me a replacement back for the CyberPi. The replacement came within a few days and I was up and running off battery. Great support experience.

I havent really tried the product yet, I hope it would be good. But I would like to share my experience regrading the service. I ordered an mbot and it was mis-delivered by UPS but when I reported the issue to the makeblock team they took a quick cognisance of the issue and delivered me a replacement mbot. The service was really quite good and I am more than satisfied. Looking forward to gift this to my younger brother in spain.

I want to give a big shout-out to the awesome folks at mBlock for bringing the fantastic mBot robots into the picture. These little wonders are like magical buddies that help kids dive into the world of programming. The mBots make learning to code super fun and interactive – a real game-changer for young minds. Plus, I can't thank the mBlock team enough for their super friendly customer support. They're always there to lend a hand and make the learning journey even more exciting. Kudos to mBlock for being such champs in inspiring the next generation of tech wizards!

Three of my grandchildren received MakeBlock robots for Christmas -- Ranger, Mega, and Neo. All are amazingly "capable" machines! Assembly was straightforward but completed mostly by me with last steps left to kids. Great that each robot had an out-of-the-box capability of movement to entertain the kids immediately. Overall rugged build give or take a sensor or two.

Since Christmas, they got the add-on robotic arm. Build was completed with one grandchild with expectations to be used with all robots. Again, rugged construction with straightforward build instructions. Here is the rub, each robot has a bit different programming format, a different communications approach, different wiring connections, etc. These complexities add confusion for grandchildren and grandfather! Some remote communications can be solved with purchase of additional pieces of equipment -- bluetooth dongle, remote control joystick, etc. But plug and play, they are not!

Technical support is responsive but somewhat laborious. Might be a language issue. Lots of support information is available, but not organized to be easily assimilated.

These devices are obviously wonderfully capable IF you have the time to dig deeply into functionality. We will enjoy the robots for years. . . and hours. . . to come!

I advise teachers on implementing STEAM tools in their classrooms and it's very easy for me to point at Makeblock as a good solution.
I have used the mBot2 for a while now and I'm very satisfied with my experience. I have also used the previous generation and I like the improvements they have done. Communication between different robots and more precise movements are the highlights for me. There are possibilities to create more with the robot using additional components, but that depends if the teacher wants students to invest more time assembling something.
I connect the robot to my computer using the Bluetooth dongle the company offers and I have no issues with it.
The coding platform is pretty straightforward, you can program the robot both with blocks or with Python, I haven't used the latter so I have no opinion on that.
The mBot2 is more for students in middle school, but the brand has more products for other educational levels which I would also recommend checking.

I received my hardware today.

1)
It connects to my Galaxy 7 phone every time, but the screen on the phone is to small to du any programming

2)
I has connected to my Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 pro once. Without being able to recieve uploads. After that it will not connect anymore. Even if I shut off all other Bluetoots devices.

3)
The PC software V5.0.0.Beta.2.3 only speaks Chinese... I don't know how to switch to english.

All in all... Have I wasted my money and now the boring part about returning the stuff and claiming my money back...
