Worst app to book the ticket

I gave 1 star bcz there was no option for 0 star. I booked my ticket through this stupid app and now when my flight is cancelled from dubai to Delhi then instead giving full refund they deducted convenience fee. Non-sense.

YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY SCAMMING WITH EVERYONE HERE AND I AM TAKING YOU TO CONSUMER COURT AS A UAE RESIDNET

Details of the transaction are as follows:

Transaction Date: 16th November 2024
Amount: AED 566
Merchant: MakeMyTrip
Trip Details: Lahore to Dubai on 3rd December 2024
Flight Confirmation: 16th November 2024
On 2nd December 2024, just one day before my scheduled flight, I received an email from MakeMyTrip informing me that my flight had been canceled due to an issue with the airline. They further stated that the sector was now unoperational, and I was instructed to request a refund through the MakeMyTrip app. However, when I accessed the app, I discovered that there was no flight listed under my "My Trips" section, preventing me from making any refund request.

Following this, I had to book a new flight with FlyJinnah in order to travel to Dubai on emergency grounds. Despite raising multiple complaints with MakeMyTrip regarding the cancellation and my entitlement to a refund, they have continuously denied my request for a refund, without any valid justification. Only on 29th December 2024 did they finally update the status of the canceled flight in the app, but they are still refusing the refund, citing that it is "not possible."

This situation clearly feels like a scam, as the cancellation was made by MakeMyTrip, and I am entitled to a full refund for the AED 566 charge.

They are scammers and it's clearly visible with all reviews on Google and trust pilot.

Avoid MakeMyTrip for international…No refund

Avoid MakeMyTrip for international bookings. After Indigo cancelled my flight 3 months ago, MMT claimed to have refunded me via an email, but the money is nowhere to be found. It’s not in my bank, and it’s not showing in my MMT wallet to use for new flights. Indigo has confirmed the refund was processed to MakeMyTrip. While I received an automated email from MMT regarding the refund, the funds are not visible in my 'MyCash' or wallet. Furthermore, the AED 100 credit provided is non-transferable and does not account for the total fare. It has been three months, and I have neither the cash in my original payment method nor a usable balance on your platform.
Now they have another opportunity from war in Middle East to make money by trapping refunds.

Very Bad experience with MMT


Booked 2rooms with breakfast fast when we reached at hotel they denied having booking after contact to mmt costumercare they are saying they can provide only one room without breakfast which is not possible for my family of 3person we stayed at other nearby hotel and complaint to mmt. But after my complaint initially got reply by mmp that I will get full refund. But after 6 days mmt send only 7% of my booking amount. I am very disappointed

After contacting MakeMyTrip customer care, they said they could provide only one room without breakfast, room also in very bad condition without any ventilation and durty badsheet, very bad smell from toilet, without working AC which was not suitable for my family of three. Therefore, we had to stay at another nearby hotel and filed a complaint with MMT. Initially, they informed me that I would receive a full refund, but after six days they refunded only 7% of the booking amount, which is very disappointing with MMT they don't care what we face. Even hotel owner saying you can complaint anywhere. He don't care. I informed all I faced himulation but mmt not done any action against hotel. Mmt still listening this hotel.

The room was in very poor condition — no ventilation, dirty bedsheets, bad smell from the toilet, and the AC was not working. This was completely unsuitable for my family.

Because of this situation, we had to stay at another nearby hotel and I filed a complaint with MMT. Initially, I was told that I would receive a full refund, but after six days MMT refunded only 7% of the booking amount, which is extremely disappointing.

The hotel owner was also very rude and said I could complain anywhere and he did not care. Despite informing MMT about the humiliation and inconvenience we faced, no proper action was taken against the hotel, and it still appears to be listed on their platform.

This experience shows that MMT does not care about the problems faced by customers and continues to support such hotels.

Be careful with MakeMyTrip Free Cancellation option.

I just learned an expensive lesson with MakeMyTrip.

I booked a train ticket and paid ₹8,360, which included ₹1,616 for “Free Cancellation Protection” and also selected their 3x refund option.

The ticket was not confirmed and got automatically cancelled, but guess what?
I received only ₹6,465 as refund.

When I contacted customer support, they simply said:

"Free Cancellation is non-refundable. It’s mentioned in the terms and conditions."

Then why call it “Free Cancellation Protection” if the customer still loses money?

Most people do not read pages of terms and conditions while booking a ticket. The feature name itself creates trust that customers are protected.

If I had booked directly through IRCTC, my loss would have been minimal.

This feels misleading and unfair to customers.

I have now decided to raise this issue with the National Consumer Helpline so that other customers are not misled by such services.

⚠️ My advice: Think twice before paying extra for “Free Cancellation” on MakeMyTrip.

Make My Trip is really a cheater travel…

Make My Trip is really a cheater travel agency.
It is a big scam.
I had booked an Akasa flight for 423 SAR from Riyadh to Mumbai on 4th March 2026.
Akasa cancelled the flight and Make My Trip returned me only 137 SAR. They should return me full amount as it was their fault and not my fault.

Moreover, when I try to contact them on their Toll-free number (8008500819), but there is no response, they kept me on hold for hours.

Do not use Make My Trip. Book directly from airlines.

First, makemytrip should place human beings instead of AI chats.
Contacting your customer care is one of the most impossible tasks on the earth. I have 3 flight cancellations to discuss, but I am unable to connect via all means after spending hours.
Your business takes care of your own pocket and has no take care of customers.

MakeMyTrip stole my money!

I had made two bookings, one in Sept and another in Nov, that were cancelled due to poor accommodation and customer service promptly informed via call as well as throughout email. refund was approved for both cases. But I am yet to receive refund. I have put in complaint as well as escalated the isse twice with no call back, response or refund. MakeMyTrip just has stolen around 4000 rupees from me.

⭐ 1‑Star Review for MakeMyTrip – Extremely Disappointing & Unethical Experience
I had one of the worst experiences with MakeMyTrip, and I feel obligated to warn other travellers.

My Indigo flight from London to Hyderabad was cancelled due to the Middle East crisis — a situation completely outside my control. Indigo refunded the full amount to MakeMyTrip promptly, yet MMT chose to withhold most of my money. I paid ₹35,000, and they returned only ₹7,384, giving misleading and false explanations about “airline penalties” that do not exist.

During a critical time when I was stranded abroad, MakeMyTrip showed zero responsibility:

No proper communication

No transparency about the refund

No apology

No urgency

Continuous delays and excuses

False claims about deductions

This is not just poor service — it is unethical and unacceptable. I have now filed an official grievance and will be pursuing strict legal action for the financial loss and the harassment caused during an already stressful situation.

MakeMyTrip needs to be held accountable for such practices. I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with international travel bookings.

No customer support only harassment and loot customer

That on 07.03.2026, I booked an air ticket through your online platform for travel from Delhi to Rewa scheduled for 10.03.2026.
2. That while I was completing the booking process and had reached the payment page, due to a technical glitch in your booking system, the travel date automatically got redirected/changed to 12.03.2026 instead of the intended date of 10.03.2026, without my consent or knowledge.
3. That immediately within one minute of the said booking, I contacted your customer support helpline, wherein the call was attended by Ms. Marril Gladwin, who initially attempted to attribute the error to me.
4. That upon explaining the technical malfunction during the payment stage, the said executive admitted that there might have been a technical issue on your platform resulting in the booking being processed for 12.03.2026.
5. That despite informing her that flights were clearly available on the said sector for
10.03.2026 and even sharing the screenshot of the same, no immediate corrective action was taken.
6. That thereafter I requested to speak with a senior supervisor, upon which I was informed that the supervisor would revert within 10-15 minutes. However, no such call was received
7. That I again contacted your customer care where another representative Mr.
Hariom attended the call but merely repeated the same response without providing any resolution, rectification, or refund, thereby causing further inconvenience and harassment.

Have been trying to reach them about my…

Have been trying to reach them about my Booking to AUH on the 12 th march as there is Air space closures and Etihad flights not flying. No body comes on line after going to existing flight it gets cut but if u go to new bookings representatives comes online .see the pathetic irony of this company only for new bookings. I tried all numbers nothing works. Will not any more Book on this Make my trip.com and advise others too .After bookings we got to run pillar to post if u require any thing on the bookings .
