Moved into a property last year and found out on moving in that the windows didnt close properly, door handles falling off and other issues. Their handyman refused to do the work with the doors as he still hadn't been paid for previous work done. Painting over the sewage leak that damaged the bathroom ceiling, and door closer that fell and almost struck my head. None of these were resolved a year later when I moved out and yet they still had the audacity to charge £132 for cleaning despite leaving the property spotless.

The whole experience with Martin & Co has been amazing for a first time buyer they made the process soo easy and stress free! Ryan was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was so friendly, helpful, and professional, and made finding my apartment such a smooth and enjoyable experience. He really listened to what I wanted and answered allll the many questions I had for him. I couldn’t recommend him & the rest of the team enough — thank you⭐️⭐️⭐️

Martin & Co have been amazing. I had very specific criteria for an apartment I wanted in Leeds and a tight timeline. They managed to find the place and helped everything go through very smoothly and efficiently. The sales agent, Ryan, was fabulous, friendly and professional and I was really pleased with the communication and extra time and energy spent on seeing this through. WOULD RECOMMEND

Very professional approach and a credit to the Company

Renting a property. Took months to sort out issues. Really poor communication and continually ringing and emailing for issues to be sorted, as a company you'd think they would be on top chasing this and not the tenant. Took days off work for contractors not to turn up. When leaving property, we left it in better condition and tried to charge us for numerous things, luckily we had photo evidence and got our deposit returned. Will never rent with this company again

We employed Martin and co (city branch) for over 6 years to manage our apartment. We had continuous issues with staff changing over, no one taking over the management of the property. We were charged huge bills for what should have been small repairs. When our latest tenant moved out we found the apartment was in shocking condition, curtains hanging down, painting patches, furniture ruined. When we asked Martin and co for us to call us back we were told the Director of the Leeds branch was “too busy” to talk with us. She never called us back after repeated attempts. Absolutely appalled they can get away with the level of service, we are severely out of pocket due to Martin and co’s negligence.

The agent who viewed the property after my son and and I thoroughly cleaned the flat at blue hill lane in Leeds just before leaving a 5 year tenancy has told me today 11 Sept that the flat was very clean when he viewed after we left.
My son had been an exemplary tenant. Paid his rent no problem for the full five years. He was a model tenant!
Now they want £85 for a 'light clean' out of the deposit. (A LIGHT CLEAN 😂). The flat needs full decoration before someone moves in. ( in my opinion ). Although I have been informed that the new tenant will decorate it for them. (Bonus for the landlord 🤑😀).
Rather than thanking my son for being a good tenant of 5 years. NO NOTHING LIKE THAT! It's Money on their mind. Shame on them. Was it worth £85. Arbitration will no doubt view our photos of the clean and video evidence and not allow this poor choice to try and squeeze a little more money from my son.
That's why the rental sector needs that regulation because some humans do not know how to behave. I don't rate the way that you have finished the tenancy. It is an insult. You had an opportunity to say thanks for his tenancy and wish him well. You didn't. You'd rather try get £85 for a light clean. What is a light clean? A huff and rub
Update: It seems that this may be the landlord at work and not Martin and Co. And I will contact Martin and Co to ask for support for the case of Arbitration at the DPS.

We used Martin & Co Leeds for about 15 years to manage our rental property. During this timeframe we have had different persons as a point of contact but the service provided was always top class. This is because of the Leadership of Elizabeth who has been a constant presence in the company, ensuring that no matter who works there the service provided was always the same. This ensured that our experience as Landlords was stress free. Our most recent portfolio manager was Haf whose service and communication was excellent. We sold the property recently and Martin & Co was our estate agent…Kate in sales was very efficient throughout this process. We strongly recommend this company.
