every thing was very good with the process ,we live in a strange world now where every time we purchase any thing we are asked to rate how the company did ! the star rating is like being at school ,if the company is doing their job properly then why do they need to be reassured all the time ?this is not a negative slight towards this company in particular ,just in general we seem to be living in a world that constantly needs to be praised and reassured thank you !

Bought a lovely item through online auction, paid online and arranged appointment to collect from the warehouse. Whole process went without a hitch, covid precautions were spot-on, and very happy with the item itself.

Bought some whiskey at recent sale. Lot that I was informed that I had won was also won by another bidder ?? Explanation that I got on making Enquiries was not plausible nor made any sense.Complaint badly handled

I found the whole experience of dealing with them very good and they were most accommodating with my collection from the saleroom in these difficult times. I will definitely be watching their sales to see if anything takes my fancy.

Handed in 3 lots of merchandise from my mothers house and after sales received a pittance of the sales price. Commission and vat (which we expected) then other fees which we had not personally been told about had been deducted. In all just over 33% had been charged. This was indeed double the amount we expected.

This was the first time we had used McTears and it will be the last.
No wonder EBay is so popular!!

Took a piece of art for valuation last year.Not impressed by the valued go didn't seem to have much knowledge of the work and the valuation was somewhat disappointing

Website good, unfortunately not great - it’s difficult to manoeuvre around the site whilst bidding live.
Commission and charges are just too high....

I enjoy logging into the live auctions and bidding on an item I would like, the procedure is simple and when I have won an item, my invoice has been quick and clear. When I've needed an item shipped to me the quote was quick and fair. I only wish some of the prices realised were higher than I wish to pay.

Item I received had parts missing. McTears pointed finger at Delivery courier and vice versa. Bit rubbish really.
