Had enough

This time? You mean the numerous times you were meant to come out but your contractors are so lazy they cant be bothered to make an effort to come out so pretend they have and then send a text to say sorry you were not in.
Not only that when they come they do half a job if they cant be bothered to investigate more. Honestly dont know why people would use you. Useless

Shoddy repairs & just don't care!

Shoddy repair to a stained ceiling - applied spray stain block with no masking, damaging the wall paint in the process. Refused to make good & don't even bother to supply the repair guy with paint to touch up the ceiling after the stain block. Sadly this company doesn't appear to care about its shockingly bad reviews & reputation. I cannot understand why South Camb's council renewed their contract!

Terrible company who don’t care

This company has a flat near mine and for nearly the past 2 years they have been trying to use my meter number for their flat causing so much mayhem for me. I have brought it up to them so many times but they ignore me and do not fix any issues. Terrible company who don’t care

Absolute criminal s I moved in to my…

Absolute criminal s I moved in to my new home and I m disabled and have mobilty issues they have done the Absolute minimum to insure my home was ready to live in . They did nt complete the garden and because they did not want to have extra cost I.e skip they have broke down awall then covered it up with excess soil from patio which only had middle dug up shaved up against fence in the middle creating a massive slop whilst exposing rocks brick s glass and other materials only for it to be a hazardous for myself a disabled individual with mobilty issues. I have already had an accident and hit my head . All the while the keep playing tennis with me telling me to go to cancil while they tell me to go to mears . I can't belive they thought it was ready to be lived in just because I m disabled while should I be forced to live like this . It s discrimination against the poor and disabled. And I guarantee they treat the elderly the same . They are work shy lazy and will do anything to save them money . So that they get more profit from cancil its Absolute criminal. Whilst good disabled people suffer most of time in silence no wonder suicide and mental health are on the rise

Unhelpful and rude customer service

Unhelpful and rude customer service, they give the property supposedly renovated but its full of lousy jobs, and silly mistakes that then lead to repairs and then unless is emergency repairs or you have nice property manager, they couldn't care less and leave it all up to you to deal and pay. Stupid "policies" that just covers them from fixing the issues that the property comes with. Property manager comes around every 3 months to "check" property. Didn't have an option but accept them but if you do, don't! Not worth the trouble.

Stole a bike from my home

Only putting 1 star as i it won’t let me put 0. I have recently had my front door replaced. Mears had asked if they could replace my door and arrange a place to meet me to give me my keys. My house wasn’t attended at the time as i was staying with my boyfriend and his parents due to my mental health being really bad. They had changed my front door, not only didn’t contact me to arrange to meet me with MY OWN KEYS. But have stole a bike out my house worth a good few hundred pounds. Absolutely disgusting.

I have been chasing a job for 5 months…

I have been chasing a job for 5 months now. Every time I complain, I am told it will be escalated and no-one ever calls me back or deals with the issue. To make things worse, a lady called Nikki/Nicky was beyond rude on the phone, and for no reason whatsoever! I was mid way through a sentence when she literally cut me off and said bye in the rudest voice. I called straight back asking for her full name but she refused! I will be making a formal complaint about this lady as I am shocked at the treatment I received. Unbelievable!

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company. I’m forced to have these people work on my property by my landlord. I work all the hours god sends and no matter how many times i tell this lot when i ring them for appointments, they never take that info on board. I have taken time off work to wait in for them and they haven’t turned up. We had a new bathroom fitted, it took them four weeks. They left us without water for four days. We had to live in a hotel. They turned up late and went home early. And the standard of work was pathetic. It now takes 30 mins to fill the bath. Every time we have work done, this bunch want to do an asbestos test. Each time it’s negative but they do one every time and there are so many patches of damage on the ceilings from their tests.
The latest appointment was cancelled. Again. I give up with this company. Do not use them.

Avoid renting to these at all costs

Avoid renting to these at all costs. From experience I can confirm that they will promise much about the condition of the property then when it comes time to hardback the houses. Damage, mess and no funds to sort out any of it.

They are also overly agressive in chasing safety certificates despite refusing to give details of the Tenants, which they regularly change around, so access can't be gained to do said checks.

Dangerous to the reputation of legitimate housing companies from every aspect!

Complicated leaks fixed

John did a great job fixing very complicated leaks in the communal rise. It was very hard to reach and he had to take out the toilet and break through the wall. It was a massive undertaking but once the repair was done he refitted toilet and boxing perfectly. John really knows what he’s doing.

Mears group havering

Mears group havering, it seems your not doing so good on the repair front 🤔 I and my nabour are in an exchange with each other, you have repairs still outstanding on my nabours ground floor flat which I am needing to move into due to disabilities of my own. You have no right in rejecting the work that havering council pay you for. You have a contract with this council who pay you thousands of pounds to carry out repairs on our homes so why are they not getting done.? You have left my nabour with no lighting in her bathroom and the fuse box needs complete overall (a new 1) but yet you've rejected the job because it entales your workmen🙄 taking out a kitchen cupboard 🤔? Mmm sounds to me like to much hard work for you lot.
If by chance any of my nabours children do get electricuted please be aware myself and ms stallman (other tenant) will be seeking legal advice and we will continue to court proceedings against havering Council and the mears gruop for health and safety reasons. I suggest that the top boss of mears come take a look him/herself to see what jobs needs doing.

The most dishonest company

It is the most dishonest and incompetent company that I have come across.

I have been trying to get them to evict their tenant from 2017. They refused to support the tenant and have gone against our agreement. They use their power to slow everything down and leave you in a mess financially.

Make sure you do your due diligence, as they are notorious for having a high staff turnover who are experts at covering up their mismanagement.

They only care about how much money they can acquire and will lead you down the garden path and drain you of your resources, just to avoid the work that they have to do. Do not use this company, as they will leave you with a property in total disrepair and they will confuse even your legal team with their lack of moral standards.

Endangering customers' lives

We have had a leak in our flat for a month, Mears has not sorted it. The electrical circuit has stopped working and we feel unsafe in our house. Mears Group will still not fix the issue. Dangerous company to work with.

INCOMPETENT COMPANY

INCOMPETENT COMPANY

They are inadequate to offer the simplest service. Endless damages to the property. They lie and are deceitful.

Management is in total chaos with no communication, to say the least.

You are better off asking the local council to provide a different contractor. This will save you from physical and mental harm.

Truly disappointed as tried so hard to work with them but they terribly failed.

Even gave them feedback to help them. But their way of thinking is beyond sanity.

I hope the local council read these reviews and listens to the tenants voice of displeased.

Despicable service

I am appalled by the recent service of Mears Group and very very disappointed . I had a faulty alarm in the passage way of my flat called havering out of hours Reece came promptly and was friendly replaced the Alan with a new one but did things quickly seems to me they overwork their engineers as as soon as he left the new slam was faulty I called havering again they told me o must wait 4 hours and they never showed up so from 6 to 5 in the morning the alarm went off you could only stop the Alan in you stand under it then it will go off again . The engineer still did not come out so at 5.09 I called havering out of hours they told me Reece had too many jobs and was tired according to the manager for Mears . They said they will now send an engineer at 8.am . This has caused me emotionally distress and I would no longer recommend them as some one should have had a curtsy to call me not me keep calling havering

Theft by Mears and failure of customer services and policy and procedures

If I could give less than one star I would. As my landlord RHP -“Richmond housing partnership” contracted “Mears group contractors”to came too my hometown do some work which they “mearsgroup” stole my belongings of installation rolls on 5th sept 22 I made a formal complaint via phone on 6th sept which the operative tried to lie and say the didn’t do it, then they tried to say they used my belongings in my home calling me a liar.

then on 7th I sent a formal complaint via email with supporting video which included there staff saying they moved my belongings and showing them packing it up preparing to go in their vehicle

On 21 October I notice in video it was 4 rolls of installation that was taken not 3 I believe due to my disability and health conditions I never noticed properly on how much was taken.

At this point I had not heard back from
Mears which I sent emails to about 4 members of staff 3 which were management inc Executive CEO

7 October I gave meat 2 weeks notice of reimbursement of my goods as I was informed to do so by the police
They failed to respond or reimburse

On 27 October mears wrote back via email with a attached letter dated 21 oct saying they would reimburse me for 3 of the loft installation rolls £140 and a missed appointment £30 and compensation £100
They said they would pay by cheque
But I had to contact them.

I contacted them on 27, 28 Oct
1,2 November and resent a email I sent on 21 October informing them
Of what was taken and that it was more than 3 rolls taken and I was not happy with £100 compensation that was suggested on 3 Oct by RHP and their failures
As a service as per their “Mears policy & procedures” and made a further complaint which they have ignored
Up to this day
And I have not a reimbursement for my goods or anything else
I do not understand why they would also try and further rob me by trying to inform me they would reimburse me 3 rolls
I have been unfairly treated and treated by Mears
And Equality and Diversity has not been shown Towards myself they have failed to demonstrate their own
Policy towards me;
This experience has caused stress and anxiety I feel unsafe knowing this took place in my home whilst I was there
Limited with my mobility and access
Within my home for them “mearsgroup” to carry out the work

I await RHP stage 2 complaint outcome and proceed to go to the ombudsman if this is not properly sorted

Still awaiting to be viewed with ombudsman

But it’s now 8 December 22 and still have not been reimbursed or seen any money or cheque.
