Previous version app was excellent, new version is massively inferior. Long range forecast disappeared, rain radar won't load. Tried to find old version to reload but it's not available. Used to us... See more

Unnecessary and frustrating ‘upgrade’
I have already given feedback directly via the Met Office App that echoes pretty much what everyone else is saying. I don’t want pretty colours and flashy designs - I liked the previous App, all the information was easy to read, I had several locations saved that I could easily view and I could switch between them and quickly check it all out. This is now hard to read, confusing, too busy with less info, needs more clicks to find stuff and where is the summary and long range now?
It’s what everybody else says
It’s what everybody else says, it’s a car crash of an app. I’ve deleted it and moved on.
This app is the worst "improvement" I…
This app is the worst "improvement" I have ever seen. You have removed the surface pressure chart. The most important feature for anyone who understands weather. I will not use it agein ever.
I'd give it a minus number if I could
I'd give it a minus number if I could. Poor colours, not at all intuitive and god forbid you want to look up different locations quickly. To coin one of their own phrases:....'Feels Like' you've made a big mistake and the frosty reception this app 'refresh' is getting is not surprising.
RUBBISH
Not easy to use, very slow to navigate, not intuitive, could go on but in essence IT'S RUBBISH. There is an option, at the moment, to keep the old version on a PC but not on the mobile app. Why "try' to mend/improve something that is not broken.
How can the met office get it so wrong?
I used to look at the met office app two three times per day. Especially I valued the isobar charts. But now the met office must think I am a nerd and they want to appeal to the casual interest browser. But so do all the other apps on the market. The met office have lowered their special place in the market. And they are worse. Sadly they will not read these reviews. Too many red faces.
Shockingly bad revamp...
Shockingly bad revamp of something that was pretty good and liked by many...looks like it's been designed by a 5 year old on "My First Computer"..so clunky and awful. There is a feedback button which I'd recommend all to use to tell them how bad it is. Please revert back to the older and much better version.
Poor visibility, causing difficult 'driving' conditions
Having happily and frequently used the previous Met Office App for numerous years, have found their new 'upgrade' very disappointing. Graphics are clunky and overly large and unlike the previous version, I have found it impossible to easily compare / correlate across different locations to facilitate forward planning, which is a prime reason for using the app in the 1st place. Also the process of entering and saving specific 'favourite' locations is cumbersome, repeatedly requiring input of settings for each, rather than one generic preference setting for all. So all in all they have "improved things worse" for my requirements; it begs the question of why they had to fix something that wasn't broken. Thus, sadly, I will be seeking out alternative weather Apps and uninstalling the Met Office ASAP.
Dynamic rainfall radar map
Dynamic rainfall radar map was much better in old version - please can we have it back!
Classic case of 'Don't Fix it if it's not Broken
Classic case of 'Don't Fix it if it's not Broken' & made a complete mess a very good & easy to read weather app especially re the apparent removal of an excellent & easily understood Rainfall Radar Map - how stupid is that in our wet west Atlantic winters.
Terrible
Terrible. Used to be so good. Now awful. Such a shame. Go back please!!!
Not a fan of the new app / website page…
Not a fan of the new app / website page - making it more challenging the find the detailsd information needed
If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
The new app refresh is just awful. Deleted, now using BBC Weather app
New app is terrible
I have to echo what others are saying. I have used the Met Office app for years and I really appreciated it. The new version of the app is really not good. I don't know where to start, but clunky, too busy, annoying simulated rain/weather on screen, depressing colour scheme that supposedly changes with the weather, location finder inaccurate, can't switch between different places, etc. Please bring back the old app. If you gave your users a choice, I suspect that the vast majority of users would prefer to stay with the old app. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Now seeing if I can find an alternative app, so this one can be uninstalled. Update: now found an alternative app and uninstalled the Met Office app.
Met Office Downgrade App
Possibly the worst update of an app that used to really appeal to its users. How this managed to get released is a travesty. My only thought is that Starmer must have had a hand in this wretched upgrade in his crusade to destroy everything we previously held dear.
The new app is absolutely dreadful
The new app is absolutely dreadful. They’ve taken something that was useful and well loved and completely ruined it. Shame on you Met Office.
Location, location, location!
If you can't get my location right, what chance is there for the forecast?
Dark and depressing and utterly useless
This new version of the Met Office app is Appsolultly hideous!!
Black on black, dark and depressing.
Scrap it now, Sack whoever thought it was good.
Have you been hacked or are you looking to close down?
If it hasn’t gone back to the old one, it will be getting replaced by another Weather Service,
I hate the new app its sooooo dark and…
I hate the new app its sooooo dark and hard to use .... why did you need to fix something that wasn't broken! Please change it back. And by the way this has nothing to do with all of your users not liking or wanting change...sorry the app is awful.
