Don't get same day delivery!!
At 11:07 am Dec 31 I ordered products and paid a hefty price for same day delivery. (text confirmation received). At 4:15 still no delivery. Have called the store God knows how many times and was constantly disconnected. Tomorrow is Jan 1. Pretty sure I will not get my order. Any bets on how long it will take to get refund for same day delivery fee, $14.99 on a $23.00 order?

Don’t Order Online!
I ordered something online @10am and paid $4.99 to get it sent to me the same day. I waited until 9pm it never came. Called the store (10 min.away) to see what happened. They gave me the corporate # and told me to call them because it wasn’t going to be delivered until the next day. I wanted my $4.99 back and called last night and all morning. They never answer the phone. Stayed on for hours at a time. Same with the Fayetteville, Ga store that delivered it a day late. Don’t Ever Order Online with them. Bad Business!

I ordered online on Dec. 7 2024, as of Dec. 20 2024 I still do not have half of my order, the courier they used was Purolator, during a Postal Strike, really!!!! I called and the person I was talking to told me it was out of their hands now and its the problem of the courier, I asked if they could help me as the reason for non delivery did not make any sense as it says weather issues of which there is none and he repeated that its their problem and just hung up on me. The courier service is no better just told they hope to get it out sooner or later????? I am out over $70.00 and have no confidence I will ever see the items, too bad as a few were gift for my grandchildren. No knowledge of products
Yesterday, I visited the Broadway location to find a permanent marker for writing on plexiglass. It was absolutely impossible to get ANY advice after talking to four (4) different "customer service" people. They don't seem to know anything about the product (talking just about the product that I was interested in). Moreover, some of the markers were "locked" so that I couldn't even read the specs printed on them. I remember many (many) years ago, I used to shop at Park Royal location and I ALWAYS got expert recommendations. 1 star is one too many for my yesterday's visit. I would have obtained more information had I shopped on Amazon.
Online shipping scam
Without fail, I have to fight to get my money back with online orders. They divide the order into multiple shipments, cancel items, then charge for shipping when I had the minimum for free shipping.
This time I am out about $25 but that is a small price to pay to learn this lesson. Never again. If we had better or more craft store options in Canada, I would definitely be moving my business elsewhere. As it is, I will be reconsidering ANY purchase I make in-store.
Cannot get issue resolved
I ordered a buy one get one at 50% off. They delivered the full price product and cancelled the other. In their email they sent a link to Customer Service which does not work. Calling their Customer Service line results in over one hour wait time and then you get cut off.

This store has lately reach pit bottom for customer service.I'm of belief that store employee know it's practically impossible to make a complain and perform as such. The entire Michaels webpage doesn't have an email option to contact customer support. Calling 1800 number has me currently holding line more than 30min wait time , "chat" option (automated) writes back :"you have 20min wait to chat with agent", I'm past that and nobody shows up for chat either . This is ridiculous, Michaels can't even contract remote (stay-home) people to chat-on-line, WOW ! This is INSANE, Michaels isn't a brand anymore, rather a terrible 2nd hand franchise !

I ordered a Christmas tree on November 30, 2024. Michaels created a shipping label with UPS the same day. It stated the tree would be delivered to me December 3-5. Michaels did not give the tree to UPS until December 4th, which is the delivery time frame. Today is December 9th, and still, no tree. I will never buy anything online from Michaels again.

The only manned checked required cash. I had a giant cart full of things. Am I going to get a W2,lol? Because I didn’t go the Michael’s expecting to work as a cashier. Next time will buy supplies at Target or similar. BAD experience :-(

I love Michaels for all the fun crafty items. As a first time crafter I love it. but the website lately has been a mess. I made purchases on the site first no receipt till the day it ships. Second when putting any credit card any one it gives error message about the site. How can I trust michaels.com anymore. fix the sight to the way it was where you bought items paid and got an invoice in the email.
What a gong show!!
I ordered some yarn two weeks ago and did store pickup. I ordered two sets of 12 skeins of yarn! When I got my email for pickup I noticed that I now had 11 skeins of yarn at the Kings crossing store in Surrey, BC, not what I had wanted. I went to the store and canceled the order. I was not given a receipt for the cancellation and was just told that it would be adjusted on my bank statement. The other store in Langley took forever to find the yarn but at least I had it. When I checked my bank statement, the store in Surrey had cheated me out of almost ten dollars. Contacted Customer Service who told me that I had been refunded correctly. Produced my bank statement and then they accepted this fact. They corrected me with the missing amount and sent me a $5 gift certificate (what generosity LOL). I would never order a pick up item from this store ever again after going through that crap with them.

I bought a Christmas tree early in November to ensure they had lots of stock. When I opened it on December 1st and assembled it the whole bottom section of the trees lights didn’t work. I had to drive 100 k’s both ways to return it and then start looking for another tree elsewhere. It was a piece of junk. Never bother shopping there again for such an item
Easy to use self checkout registers the lines rarely backup like before.
In store purchasing isn't some actual person at a register in the city of San Antonio, it's a very easy to use self checkout, and coupons and or advertised sales are a very regular thing... They carry a great variety of mediums to work with that a decade ago were not found at any art supply shop or business, for example the brands of artist grade spray paint from overseas.. large color selections and often a collection of color matching markers in some brands, like MTN out of Barcelona.

Go organize the ornament aisle if you are THAT worried for keeping the place clean. Then my grandma said I don’t want this 3 items he said oh wow you guys brought a lot of stuff to the front. Online order damages
Trying to get an online order reissued due to UPS damaging the box which jars of paint inside erupted damaging everything in the box. The agent had the audacity to request more photos when my original photos showing the severity of the damage was more than enough yet wanted my to dig through wet paint mess to show more damage than what I showed the first time. Why make a simple request to reissue my order again so much more difficult for me? Does not make sense! Issue my order all over again and give me a prepaid return shipping label to make this right, why make me dance through hoops for something so simple to fix? This is why I really like supporting local businesses because of shit like this!
