They dont want your money, but they do want your private information

Attempted to purchase a headset from mighty apes online store. I received a confirmation email. Hours later i received another emailing saying my order was on hold until i sent them either a copy of my ID or bank statements? Never seen a business do this just for purchasing an unrestricted product.

Will shop again!

Great geeky items and great prices. They ship from NZ very quick and with no issues. I’ve found plenty of great gifts via Mighty Ape and now, I always check them when looking for some character-themed gift or collectable. Will definitely shop again.

Advertised as "fast Australian…

Advertised as "fast Australian shipping" with an expected delivery time of one week. Came from. Overseas and took nearly a month and arrived too late. Refused to accept return. Total waste of money. Liars.

Wrong information for afterpay from CSR team

First time using afterpay ever and had trouble finding PS4 anywhere where i could use afterpay. Made the order online as it stated afterpay was available. Emailed thru to double check, as the product was over my limit, if i could pay the excess in cash. 'They responded, yes and that it could be sorted on collection. drove from otahuhu to their silverdale warehouse, only be told sorry not available, and they confirmed i did get the information from their team but it was wrong. close to 2 hours wasted.

products inadequately packaged and arrived damaged and one also not matching picture. returns process was easy, 3 weeks after them receiving the items back still have not resent goods or refunded after many requests. just avoid.

I ordered 2 solar fountain water floats…

I ordered 2 solar fountain water floats 1 didn't work at all the other works but spasmodic even in full sun nothing like I thought they should be totally disappointed, for the price. I was so looking forward to watching the floats displaying there sprays.

12 cube Storage Cubby This product was not a good piece of Furniture it was very flimsy and was no good not even for firewood it could have fallen to pieces if items were stored in it And could have caused an accident un happy customer

Bad packaging

Never buying again! Too lazy to package items, no bobble wrap. Just a small item in a large box that was not needed.

Lego star destroyer kit.

Ordered a Lego star destroyer kit.. $1100.... And it got lost it in transit.... After a relatively short investigation (a week) they have offered me a replacement and have are about to ship it out to me... Customer service were wonderful and prompt to help me every step of the way...

One of the most stupid logic i’v ever heard ,
After 6 weeks of my order they notice that theres something wrong with address :) ! Men dont u have my phone number and email address ??? its okay i will wait another 6 weeks but i’v learned a nice lesson anyway

Horrible packaging! Item arrived bent and warped!

I ordered a vinyl and I was very disappointed by the lack of packaging (more like no packaging). As a VERY fragile item it should have been packaged in more than one very thin cardboard sleeve; especially when it is being shipped overseas. There was no bubble wrap, no foam, not even extra cardboard for safety. It was no surprise the product arrived warped and bent in such careless packaging! I hate to leave a negative review, but this is definitely something to consider when buying fragile items.

Mightyape is brilliant.

I don't know people are so against mighty ape when the products are of better quality,
I think it's way better then Amazon and I've never had an issue with them or struggled with sorting something.

They allow you to buy and sell products from other customers safely, I have had one issue where the another customer who had a DVD I wanted and brought, I received half an empty case and mightyape stepped in right away going as far to refund me myself for my missing DVD and the shipping.

They have accepted my returns and refunds also when something wasn't quite right (this doesn't happen often and out of my 5 years of buying from them I've only had 2 issues as stated.)

Anyone who is against the great website is probly American or doesn't know what real quality is unless its broken. If something if fault or damaged it will be because of shipping (NZ has had issues with out couriers dumping, throwing and stomping on packages) or a manufacture error which mightyape helps to resolve asap.

Stop the dodgy product imports!

Purchased three monitors from them only to have one fail out of the box. This type of thing can happen but when I tried to enquire in warranty I was informed they weren’t Australian stock! After many emails and threats of further action only did they agree to refund them. Three weeks since they were returned I have no monitors. No money and automated email replies stating it will take three to four days to respond. Stop selling unsuspecting customers unsupported products via your so called Australian business, it is misleading and unethical. The local warranty company advised me never to buy their products from this site again and I hope that’s advice others follow. Dig around and you will find similar stories from other buyers. If only I did that before I purchased..

As explained over email, we do offer full warranty support for all products that we sell, and as outlined in our Returns Policy, we do require any faulty item be returned to us for assessment before we can provide a resolution in the form of a repair, refund, or replacement.

In an effort to be as accommodating as possible, you were offered the option of an immediate refund or replacement once the faulty item had been handed over to the couriers, however, as you did not wish to take us up on this offer, we did our best to accommodate you further and agreed to accept a return on all 3 items purchased with a refund to be issued once they have been delivered back to us.

We stand by all of the products we sell and do our utmost best to support customers in any instances where faults occur, however, I am sorry you have not found our processes to be up to scratch in this instance.

Very poor customer service.

My order was expected to arrive before the end of June, when it didn't arrive I was forced to use their contact form on the website as they have no phone number listed. 4 days later, I was told my order wouldn't be posted until after September. By this time, it was too late to order a replacement birthday gift for my daughter. An abject failure by the company to communicate with their customer. I won't be shopping here again.

Great site for buying video games

Great website for buying video games. Every game I've bought has come sealed and in great condition. Wider variety than what I can get from my local stores, including some more obscure and niche titles. Order arrived quickly all things considered.
