Friendly, responsive and courteous handling.......
There was throughout a friendly, highly responsive and courteous handling of the sensitive issue of debt collection.
From the outset the focus was on resolving the issue fairly and equitably.
It was also helpful that one representative conducted the whole process of inquiry until the final resolution.
At no points there were any threats expressed
Very bad experience
I am sharing my experience with MIL Collections Ltd to help others understand how to handle similar situations.
I was contacted by MIL Collections in 2025 regarding an alleged debt originally linked to Card Saver.
Prior to their involvement, I had never been provided with any signed contract or documentation confirming liability.
From the outset, I:
Disputed the alleged debt in writing
Requested a copy of any contract or agreement
Clearly stated that I did not acknowledge liability
Made no payments at any time
Despite this, I continued to receive default notices and correspondence asserting the debt.
There were also issues with:
Emails being sent from an “unmonitored inbox” without prior notice
Repeated correspondence despite the account being formally disputed
Inconsistent responses and failure to address key points
At one stage, I was informed that the account had been placed on hold while documentation was requested. This documentation was never provided.
Eventually, MIL Collections Ltd confirmed that the account had been returned to Card Saver. No evidence of liability was ever supplied.
In parallel, I had submitted a Subject Access Request to Card Saver (the original company). That request has still not been fulfilled to this day, meaning the data relied upon to pursue the alleged debt was never properly disclosed.
From my experience, there were:
Failures to provide evidence of the alleged debt
Continued pursuit despite formal dispute
Poor communication and record handling
Reliance on assertions rather than documentation
In defending myself, I focused on:
Keeping all communication in writing
Requiring strict proof of liability
Not making any payment or acknowledgment
Understanding applicable time limits under Scots law
Based on the timeline, the alleged debt is now extinguished in any event.
This is not legal advice — but if you are contacted by a debt collection agency, it is important to:
Verify whether the debt is actually yours
Request full documentation
Avoid acknowledging liability without proof
Be aware of time limits that may apply
I would also recommend keeping a full record of all correspondence and, where appropriate, raising concerns with relevant regulatory bodies.
Pursued for dissolved company debt despite disability
“I was contacted by MIL Collections Ltd regarding a debt for IHQ Systems Limited (Company No. 09350336), which was dissolved in May 2022. I have no personal liability and have not signed a personal guarantee.
I am a vulnerable person, being registered blind and living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Despite informing them of my disability, they continued to pursue me, causing stress and impacting my health.
I have sent formal complaints and a Subject Access Request (SAR), but the matter has not been resolved. I would caution others about aggressive or inappropriate contact from this company, particularly for vulnerable individuals.”
Amy worst colleague
I have received a letter to pay for something I have a paid receipt off. The lady Amy keeps saying to me contact the company but the company says contact the agency. I have never had the unfortunate experience of speaking to a staff member whose a debt collector to be so rude and non supportive.
Jordan is a credit to the business.
Having an unpaid debit is never nice. But the service with MIL was excellent. Jordan especially was outstanding blending understanding and a true human approach to my situation made the process of paying it back almost a joy! Almost I still had to pay what I owed!!
Jordan worked with me to set a payment plan and followed up when he said he would. He is a credit to the business. Professional, understanding, kind and a true gentleman.

I had my identity stolen to set up an account with an energy company. This had not been paid. MIL collections were appointed by the energy company to recover the debt. They contacted me following their processes. I explained that I had never had any dealings with the company, and had not lived at that address. I was advised to contact Action Fraud, and after sending further proof of my identity, I have been advised that they accept I was not responsible for the debt.
I was assisted by Ryan Hobbs, Dylan Hill and Dan Brown who were all very helpful and polite.
Professional service
Friendly, helpful team.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Outstanding Long Term…
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Outstanding Long Term Collections Partner
Our experience with MIL Collections has been exceptional from day one. Their collection rates consistently outperform every other DCA we’ve worked with, and the results speak for themselves.
What truly sets MIL apart is their approach to onboarding. They took the time to fully understand our culture, our internal collections processes, and the unique needs of our customers. They then tailored their strategy to seamlessly align with our business, something we have never experienced at this level with other agencies.
We’ve always felt valued as a client. MIL ensured our accounts were prioritised, keeping us updated regularly so we could confidently incorporate progress into our cash forecasting. That level of communication and transparency gave us absolute peace of mind.
MIL has become a genuine long-term strategic collections partner, stepping in to recover debt even after our internal credit control teams had exhausted all efforts. Their ability to resolve customer concerns and outstanding balances in a single-call resolution is impressive and has strengthened our customer relationships rather than damaging them.
We highly recommend MIL Collections to any business looking for a reliable, results-driven, and customer-focused collections partner. They continue to exceed expectations and deliver value far beyond standard DCA performance.
Not as scary as I thought

Great company!
We have recently started using Mil Collections after speaking to Dave and also chatting to him at BEVA Congress. We have only just started working with Mil Collections so we are new into this working relationship, but we have received funds for every client we have sent to them so far, which is impressive, and we are looking forward to continuing this working relationship together.

Absolute con merchants
Absolute con merchants - tried to force me to pay a fictitious debt.
Then they started phoning business associates and discussed the situation - thereby breaking GDPR.
Don't bother trying to talk to them - the agents just talk over you and then won't stand by what they say and will even go as far as denying the words that have just left their lips.
They'll try and convince you that they can't send emails - but they can, lying comes easy to this bunch of con artists.

I had an excellent experience with this debt collection agency. Not only were they professional and easy to work with, but they also took the time to give me genuinely helpful advice on how to properly credit check people before extending services. Their guidance was clear, practical, and something I can actually use to protect my business moving forward.
It’s rare to find a company in this industry that goes above and beyond just doing their job, but they truly did. I appreciate their honesty, expertise, and willingness to help. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable debt collection services or knowledgeable support.

Fabulous service
MIL have helped in successfully recover a few debts for my business over the years. I have found them to be utterly professional and courteous, both to me as the client and to the debtors they deal with daily. It cannot be an easy job to do to ask debtors to pay what they owe, naturally they aren't happy. The patience and professionalism I've experienced seeing and hearing them in action leave no doubt they are leaders in the field.

Total Rip-Off , Do not respond
All they got is your details and make up some false information with nothing to proof.
And hoping you will pay in panic.
