I recently had a highly disappointing…

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with MisterSpex. After eagerly anticipating my order, I found myself waiting for an entire month without any sign of delivery. Needless to say, this level of service is unacceptable, especially considering the significant amount of money I paid for my order.

Initially, I reached out to their customer service team to inquire about the status of my order. While they promptly responded and apologized for the delay, their apology offered little solace without a tangible solution. They vaguely mentioned that the glasses were still in the making, but failed to provide any concrete timeframe or compensation for the inconvenience caused.

That's the reason I canceled my order. Well, if you want your glasses fast, don't order from MisterSpex. (ordered 08.01.24 canceld 02.02.24)

Reviewed: Thank you customer service!

Very slow and unhelpful customer service. They bounce back emails with usless questions even if they can see all in my profile and in the request email where i have attached the pdf and screeshots of the order and explained all in two languages : German and English. Totally unhelpful and time consuming probably to make the customer tired of answering same questions again and again. Don’t buy! They sent the wrong article and now they hustle me with usles and generic emails without giving a solution on how to return the incorrect product! Shame!
16.01.2024 i was contacted by the customer service and offered and shipped an immediate replacement. Thank you very much for the prompt response and immediate action. Much appreciated and i will continue to purchase your products!

I ordered two new pairs of glasses on…

I ordered two new pairs of glasses on 27th Nov and instead received trial pairs. I then sent these back on 2nd Dec and I’m still waiting for a refund. So almost 3 weeks has passed since placing the order and I don’t have new glasses and I’m also out of pocket. The service is so so so slow - I would avoid ordering from them if you live in the UK. Nothing but a hassle.

Avoid! Will scratch within a few months and when you contact them they say it's normal!!

OBS!! I've put this review on the international Trustpilot Misterspex page and they are denying they it is an order! I'm now copying it over to the Swedish specific trustpilot page incase they remove the other - as they threatened to! The reason this company has so many good reviews is because they get bad reviews removed by saying "this is not a valid order number" but it IS. If I could upload photos I could show you all, but they dont allow that, so below are my order details.

Do not be scammed!

Extremely poor quality with whatever coating they're using for scratch-resist. I ordered a pair of glasses a in January and at the same time another pair of glasses from a competing company. I wear my two pairs of glasses equally, and am also a contact lenses wearer during most weekdays. As a result I would say these glasses have have maybe 3-4 months of wear within a year, and they are already so scratched that I can notice the scratches whilst wearing them. My other glasses from a competing company are scratchless.

I emailed the company to let them know as I keep my glasses in their box when not in use, and only use the glasses cleaning cloth. I have had glasses my entire life and on average get 5-6 years of wear out of each pair, I know how to look after them.

I was met with "the micro-scratches seem to be consistent to what we've seen before, and are not uncommon after a year of use" - direct quote. I emailed back to say if this is how their glasses look after a year of use (or less in my case) then it is completely unacceptable. They then backtracked and replied "I'm not saying that we expect there to be scratches after a year or use, or that it is acceptable, only that is it possible depending on wear"

They refuse to progress with anything, telling me that "if everyone had scratches after three months we'd be out of business" - sure? I'm not saying everyone does. I'm saying that mine HAVE and I started my claim with "perhaps there was an error with the scratch proofing on my lenses as I haven't experienced this issue before" and I still stand by the fact there MUST be an error with mine specifically, as I have four other pairs of glasses, some 10 years old, and none are scratched like this. It's mind-boggling that this is their customer service.

If you read other 1 star reviews for this company on UK trustpilot you will see many people who are complaining about the scratch proofing - honestly it is better just to spend the extra 1000kr and buy from another brand. I can say my SmartEyes glasses are my "every day" glasses and haven't got a single scratch.

If you read the lower star reviews you will see they never seem to solve ANY issue. It's always the customers fault. Please keep in mind when buying from this company that YES everything could go perfectly and you will have a fabulous low cost pair of glasses, but on the chance that you DO experience an issue, they will blame you and refuse to do anything about it.

If you value good customer service and a guarantee incase of issues, go with someone else. If you want cheap glasses you don't mind replacing every single year then go with this company. I am -5.5 on eyesight, so each pair of glasses are extremely expensive for me if I want the thinnest glass, and I expect them to last years as a result.

If they reply to this at all, I'm sure it'll be once again blaming me for scratching due to misuse and that "scratch-proof" doesnt mean "cant be scratched. Yes, I know that. I also know that I have never experiences scratches like this within months on ANY other glasses, and the ones I bought from Smarteyes at the same time are JUST FINE.

I ordered contacts on black friday with…

I ordered contacts on black friday with discount. My package was not delivered. I contacted support asking to send order again but received an answer with options why my package was impossible deliver. No info will i get refund or what to do now.
Completely unprofessional and not customer oriented reply. Im not gonna continue to be a customer of your store.

"slightly" delayed for 6 weeks

I ordered two boxes of contact lenses on this website. Several days later, I was told the delivery is "slightly delayed". I was asked to have a little patience to wait for another 6 weeks. I then went back to the product page. It was still on with no notice regarding the delay, while with an increased price:)

Bad Quality Lenses

Five months ago I bought a pair of glasses from mister spex, expecting to get a high quality product. Unfortunately, within this short period of time, the anti-reflective coating on the lenses has already been damaged, causing flared lights and affecting my vision.

When I contacted their customer support to find a solution to this problem, I was simply told that they could not replace the lenses. So now I have to pay again for new lenses. I would have expected better service and higher quality products from a company that specialises in optics.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this shop and advise everyone to think twice before buying here.

*Update:

So they asked me to send the glasses back to them for inspection and I dropped the glasses by a DHL branch on 28.10.2023 and the tracking still says it's in the branch untill today which is 13.11.2023.
I know it's not mister spex's fault but they should have gotten the insurance refund from DHL by now. But here I am spending money on and wearing daily contact lenses because I don't have a backup glasses. I guess I'm just unlucky this time.

Thoroughly disappointing. Avoid

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Having used this company on several previous occasions, all with positive results, my most recent experience is one of the worst I have had the misfortune of encountering. The glazing of my chosen glasses took over a month to process, with zero communication from the firm. Even when I attempted to get in contact on several occasions, I was given false promises around expected delivery times.
A thoroughly disappointing experience and one I won’t be repeating. My advice, don’t bother with this firm as they have no clue what is going on, and use another more reliable company.
