Avoid any dealings with Model Space!!!
I took out a subscription for the Star Wars Millenium Falcon model. Big model, big expense.
Some kits were missing build instructions or delivered with instructions for other kits, duplicate kits sent out and ultimately incomplete even though their 'records' say all kits have been delivered. 101 kits make up this model, I received 99. 98% might be a good result on an exam but not helpful on a model.
Star Wars kits have been moved to Fanhome who don't support the ModelSpace kit as apparently their kit is different despite also being deAgostini.
Can't even say the customer service is poor as that would suggest they provide some.

Subscription screw over by Model Space / DeAgostini
Well, I've come to the end of this rope, so to speak. Started my subscription with Model-Space / DeAgostini for the Build the Millennium Falcon 1:1 model. Its a BIG model with many parts. Started it maybe 9 to 12 months before COVID and then the shipments started getting delayed and then just quit coming. Id have to call and email to get updates and then was told that due to supply chain issues they put my subscription on stand by...then, nearly a year later, I got an email stating they are looking into giving a 20% discount for all remaining parts in my subscription because I guess the two companies had a falling out or something. Either way, the email said they would make a decision regarding their idea later but they wanted a reply from all those who had pending subscriptions. Well, I emailed back and forth with one or two people and got another email saying they show Ive should have received all my parts, and now no one answers emails, the phone numbers are dead, and when I contacted DeAgostini customer service via the chat on their website, the person said they could see my case had already escalated and they couldn't help me. gave me another phone number(a bogus number)...I'm so FUC#ing mad !
I'm out half of the cost for this model that looks like will never be completed because these two companies are full of shyster ass crooks and refuse to make good on a contract that had I defaulted on, they would have come after my ass.

Well I say shocking, it’s virtually non existent!
I was purchased as a gift from a friend the Deagostini Thunderbird 2 - When originally released Deagostini was the company that dealt with them but this changed to ModelSpace
The kit itself was dammed expensive so when you have issues, you would expect a company that is responsible for the Monthly issues would be able to sort things out!
Sadly not the case
As this was released some time ago now, 2018, I’ve given up all hope of getting the two parts missing and one of those parts was key to making the model function as it should
They used to have a phone number, that was removed and I was informed that ModelSpace had removed it’s Telephone Support and everything was now done via email
I can’t remember how many emails I sent, the first few got short replies such as “Sorry to hear this we will look into it” and similar, the rest remained unanswered
I would avoid this company at all costs! You will pay for something which will either be suspended due to “Production Issues” or you will end up with something with missing parts that for some unknown reason cannot be ordered or sourced

I started my build in August 2020. Tha pandemic hit and there were delays in receiving monthly subscriptions. I called repeatedly trying to find out when I’ll get my next monthly subscription, even changing expired credit cards to make sure I’ll get my next one with no delays. I’m into my Porsche Carrera build up to month 7 as of Feb 9th 2021 out of a 12 month build. My subscription was canceled in May 2023 by De Agostini because supposedly I failed to answer an email that was sent to me which I never received. Now I’m out all the money I invested in this project. Model Space, you lost me as a customer I will never subscribe to you again.
Buyers beware
I am in the same boat as others. I was on the last month’s subscription to complete my gt-40 and now it just sits in the box unfinished. Customer service is terrible. They just give you the runaround. I can’t log In because all my sign in info is gone so I couldn’t get the instructions even if I had the last parts I needed. I’ve called and emailed them. No help what do ever. Do not buy from them.

it's like waiting for a snail to complete a marathon.
I have been trying with some small success to complete my subscription for the VW T1 Samba since pre-covid. I am tantalisingly close and the models are superb, but the customer service is still not there. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt and chances to redeem themselves, and was hoping since the takeover by Deagostini of ModelSpace UK that things would improve. I am now 1 subscription away from completing this stressful collection where (as so many have also reported) the customer service simply makes promises that they do not keep.

ModelSpace customer service is horrible!! Don't order from them if you expect any level of support. I've had 2 stages of the Ford GT delivered damaged. I have been trying to get them replaced for 6 months. The only thing I get are broken promises.

This is the same issue as the rest of folks on here. I was building the FordGt scale model but unfortunately I have not received anything since February of this year , 2022 (nothing from pack 14 onwards). I now have 40% unfinished model sitting on my desk for what seems to be going on a full year. Every time I email customer support (while they are respectful) it is the same story of packs being on "back order" yet your main site is still accepting orders? How is this ethical?
This experience has turned me off to ever purchasing another kit from any of your sites (main or affiliated).
Make this right and fulfill the half done orders people have already committed to getting from your business before accepting any new orders.
Your online reputation is taking a hit because of this and I am sure folks within the community are spreading these terrible experience with others, telling them to find another model and to stay away from your organization.
Just make this right and ship me out the missing packs for the FordGT scale model packs 15-24. I don't even care about the special bonus gifts you are offering now with new subscriptions, just fulfill your end of this order like a reputable company would.
***UPDATE***It is now 2024 and I still have not received anything from this company expect the run around**STAY AWAY FROM THEM***

I've been a fan of this company for years however their quality has fallen extremely to the lowest I have ever seen there used to be precision engineered extensive product ranges from cars, bikes, planes, boats etc, for me I'm a fan of their car models I purchased a Red Bull RB7 as a full kit however upon receiving the delivery there were parts missing it was a mind draining experience as I paid the Full money but I did not receive the Full kit (I LIKE WORKING ENGINES NOT DUST GATHERERS!!!) and also they had a 3d printer which I thought was one of the most incredible kits I have seen yet as anyone who knows about 3d printers will know how expensive they are and modelspace gave the opportunity to not only build but also learn how the kit works. Its a real shame because I think modelspace at one point was onto a prosperous road of success as I could not find a company that could match the pedigree of modelspace for the price and quality maybe in the future the company can be turned around and get back to producing quality products and a much much more improvised system for customers to be able to manage queries or issues we may have.

on 12/11/2021 I received an email stating that you were having problems with your payment system.
on 18/11/2021 I received another email stating that I would be receiving a link to the new payment system to continue with my subscription...happy days.
life went on...no link appeared..ever.
on 19/08/2022 I phoned the customer service team to enquire as to when I would be receiving the final THREE packs needed in order to complete my build,
I was told they would arrive within 7 - 10 days & I would then need to pay over the phone.
on 06/09/2022 I again phoned & was told sorry for no contact,head office will be chasing it up.
Today,,29/09/2022 I again phoned about my packs & was told that there is no stock,,has been no stock for over a year and will have to wait a few months for you to restock & send me my last items. I said that I had basically spent hundreds of pounds for a model that is not fit for purpose,as it will never be completed, & was told to contact customer services for compensation. I have tried all of the ways to contact them supplied on my previous bills, it's almost as though they do not exist.
everytime that I phoned I spoke to someone different & was given different excuses..
I suspect I never will be able to complete my build & will have to put it down as a lesson learnt & never purchase anything more from you, nor recommend you to anyone..I notice there is not have an option to give no stars. MY ADVICE IS TO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY...
I would prefer NOT to receive one of your various automated replies.

Have been waiting 18 month for them to fulfill my order, so I am 80% through my build and cannot complete it. I have had no replies to emails and no one answers phones. I have spend loads on custom extras and now it sits gathering dust unable to complete. Terrible

and having issues 1-3 delivered it stoped ! Phone call after phone call lie after lie numerous card details as they said there was a problem with there banking they final emailed on 25/03/2022 ! The subscription is back on and you will be given the chance to purchase the full kit with 20% discount ! Fantastic waiting , messing took £20.00 from my card then credited it back
Just spoke to them 04/07/2022 we can’t Suply them kit now we will have to refund you ! That’s over a year of lies and messing about

Disappointed with DeAgostini, But now improving
Very disappointed with DeAgostini / Model space / Altaya / Fanhome / Hachette / IXO / Centauria / Planeta / Salvat, what ever name they now trade under.
I signed up for the Deagostini / modelspace FORD GT40, There has been a few deliveries of parts got up to part 60, then they have all stopped with out any explanation. Tried phoning up customer services only to be fobbed off, with that they have a new pay scheme and customers will receiver an email all about it and your order will re-start soon. Its been well over 12 mouths now since any deliveries, must be still on that SLOW boat from China.
As for sending emailed, they can't be bothered to reply. There customer satisfaction guarantee is worthless RUBBISH. As I have paid with a credit card I should be covered to force back all payments. As DeAgostini have not fulfilled their CONTRACT. This is NOT the only model I was collecting from DeAgostini / modelspace, Where are the remaining boxes of the Mazda Cosmo, got to box five and no more have been sent. WHY !
DeAgostini / models space or who ever they are NOW trading as. Trading standards should close down this company as they do not fulfil there UK / GB customers orders. You CAN name and shame them on FACEBOOK and they don't even care.
I can't afford to buy anything else from this DREADFULL RIP OFF COMPANY as you can't complete their MODELS. Very expensive worthless rubbish / scrap. I know the UK / GB has left the ROTTEN EU and things have changed, Looks like the EU COUNTIES come FIRST and UK / GB gets what's left and shafted when parts run out. You can bet that DeAgostini / modelspace will have this RE-VIEW removed.
NO wonder some of the DeAgostini directors fled and set up Agora models, Did they know what was really going on at DeAgostini / modelspace and jumped ship before it sank.
On a good note,
I bought the Lamborghini countach, Excellent build.
Ford Shelby Mustang the plastic hood pins broke off should have been made from metal. VW Beetle, A good build but would have been better in another colour. 2 tone may be !
Porsche very nice, All round very good,
VW Samba Camper would have been better in another colour. rust red and white, HUMMM !
Toyota 2000 GT Excellent, But should have been the open top as in James Bond, " You only live twice " The chrome windscreen frame did brake when fitting.
Jaguar E type, over all very good, wire wheels were a bug ger to put together.
Over the years I have spent a fortune with DeAgostini / model-space, CLEARLY MY CUSTOMER LOYALTY MEANS NOTHING and all good things come to an end.

Only giving a 1 star as it doesn’t go down to zero. I have been waiting one and a half years now since my last parts for my Lamborghini countach where sent. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions far too many to remember and like other subscribers I get the same old excuses, COVID, payment system issue, new warehouse, new staff, change of suppliers, etc etc etc like all the other customers it is becoming more and more frustrating and the company just do not want to help. I have asked for a full refund which was agreed at one point but has never been actioned. I will never buy anything again from them. I am also now looking at trading standard and legal action to get my money back. I.R. So302xp

The issue has not been resolved yet as I am still waiting for the outstanding parts to complete this model, saying that you are going to resolve and being resolved are two different things, let’s see if you deliver your promises and therefore resolve the issue which is still outstanding.

Well surprise surprise, a week later and no change, no parts have arrived, no payments have been taken and no one at the customer service team seem to know what is going on, I spoke to Martin who said that the parts will be dispatched over the next week, I replied to Martin that I must have heard that so many times over the last year and a half, and so far nothing has arrived, I asked to speak to whoever was in charge there, surprise surprise no one was available to talk to, I asked for contact names and details for head office, needless to say no details were available to be given to me. This is becoming so so frustrating it is beyond belief. I am more and more determined now more than ever to pursue this to the end. Come on Modelspace listen to your cash paying customers!
I will update again next week when the parts have arrived or not! To be continued….
