Good value, prompt delivery

I was initially sceptical seeing the price. But trustpilot reviews mentioned responsive customer service. I paid with PayPal over the weekend. Monday morning I called the number on their website and they confirmed my order is ready to be dispatched. Later in the afternoon I received email with tracking details and I received the item on Tuesday.

Thanks for your feedback — we’re genuinely sorry for the frustration and poor experience you’ve had. It’s clear that we didn’t handle this well, and we completely understand why you're upset.

The pricing errors on your CPU and power supply were part of a wider issue that affected multiple listings due to incorrect supplier data. That’s not an excuse — it’s a problem we’ve taken responsibility for and are actively fixing with better checks and system controls.

What’s more concerning is the lack of proper communication around your RAM order and your attempt to use the goodwill discount. You should have received a clear response, and we apologise that you were left in the dark. We aware of the issue with dropped calls and queue timeouts, and we’re in the process of moving to a better system to handle support more reliably.

You’ve been let down at several points here, and we’re truly sorry. While we may not be able to change your mind, we do appreciate you highlighting where things went wrong — it helps us make the changes we know are long overdue.

We're sorry to hear about your experience and the repeated frustration it's caused — this clearly isn’t acceptable, and we understand why you're upset.

You’re right to be frustrated if orders have been cancelled due to pricing errors, and it's even worse if refunds took longer than they should have. We want to be clear: we never intentionally list incorrect prices or take payments for items we don’t intend to ship. However, there have been serious issues with how product and pricing data has been pulled from some of our distributors, and this has resulted in listings going live with incorrect information before internal checks could catch them. That’s not an excuse — it’s a failure on our part to have proper safeguards in place.

You’re also right to be concerned about refund times. Refunds should process quickly, and if there was any delay in yours, that’s something we completely take responsibility for and are actively addressing with our payments provider.

We know this isn’t the first time customers have raised this issue, and for that reason, we’ve started a full systems review and overhaul to prevent further mispricing problems and to improve how refunds and cancellations are handled.

We’re genuinely sorry for the inconvenience, disappointment, and wasted time this caused. We appreciate the feedback — even when it’s harsh — because it holds us accountable, and that’s exactly what we need right now.

False prices

Yesterday I bought a Ryzen 9 chip from MoreCoCo for a really great price as I had seen it through PC Part Picker, and being so close to Black Friday I thought I had got an amazing deal.

I paid through Paypal and got no confirmation email and the 'My Orders' page on MoreCoco said that I hadn't bought anything in the last 6 months. I immediately started to panic that this was some sort of scam and checked Trust Pilot reviews.

I instantly saw quite a lot of negative reviews referring to the company that involved them accepting orders for really cheap prices and then cancelling and redirecting back to the store where everything was then full price again.

This is exactly what happened to me this morning, I recieved an email telling me that my order was cancelled and they had made a mistake, but that I could have £10 off my next order on their website.

Obviously the £10 off doesn't make any difference as the chip is about £50 more than on Amazon.

They say in the email that they are reviewing their processes to make sure this never happens again but it's clear that this is a regular occurence and a tonne of people on Trust Pilot and reddit have had an identical experience to me. Reviews on here saying the same thing go back a year and on reddit it's even further.

This is clearly a move they pull fairly often and, in my opinion, is designed to reel customers in with attractive prices and then try to close the sale at close to full price. If they were truly reviewing their practices then perhaps they could have solved this reoccuring issue in the past year and a half and saved a lot of people time and money. The fact that I had read about this exact scenario the night before it happened to me makes me think that this is straight out of their playbook.

The moral of the story is if you see a really competitive price on MoreCoco, chances are they are going to pull the rug out from under you as they have done to many many other people judging by reviews.

I would be hesitant to buy anything from this website as non-discounted prices are nowhere near as competitive as Currys, Amazon and Very, and the discounts you do get cannot be trusted. (at least I got my money back)

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and honest review — we understand your frustration completely, and we’re genuinely sorry for how this unfolded.

What happened with your order — and with others in a similar situation — was the result of a serious pricing issue tied to inaccurate data from one of our distributors. These incorrect prices were pushed live before being properly verified, and we hold our hands up: that should never have happened. This wasn’t a marketing ploy or a deliberate bait-and-switch, but we absolutely understand how it looks, especially when it’s not the first time we’ve had to explain this.

You're right to say that if something keeps happening, it's no longer just a one-off mistake — it's a systemic issue. And you're also right that saying "we're reviewing our processes" starts to ring hollow if people have been hearing it for a year. We take full responsibility for that and for the fact that changes have not happened fast enough to prevent repeat incidents. The experience you described — excitement over a great deal, no confirmation email, then a cancellation — is the exact opposite of how we want our service to feel. You deserve better, and so does everyone who places an order with us in good faith.

We’ve now begun a full overhaul of the backend systems that control product data, stock syncing, and pricing inputs, as well as how orders are confirmed and tracked from the moment they’re placed. These are not small changes, but we know they’re long overdue, and we’re committed to fixing this properly.

We also hear your point about trust. Offering £10 off after an experience like this doesn’t undo the frustration, and it certainly doesn’t rebuild confidence. It was meant as a goodwill gesture, but we understand that for many people, it’s not enough — especially when the updated price is still more expensive than other retailers.

We're truly sorry this was your first impression of us. It’s clear we’ve got a lot of work to do to rebuild trust, and while we don’t expect a second chance, we’re grateful you took the time to explain exactly how the experience felt from your side. We’re listening — and we’re changing.

Won't honour their own pricing

Made an order for a computer part which I'll admit was priced low but not so egregiously low it was obviously an error. For context, it was priced around that of used. It's also currently around Black Friday so you expect deals.
The next day I received a cancellation email apologising for the pricing error and passing the blame on to their distributor. To make up for this they offered £10 off my next order as a 'gesture of goodwill'.
That £10 (which would be a manual refund that I would have to contact them and hope to receive, by the way) wouldn't even bring their now 'corrected' pricing in line with Amazon.
You want to support independent stores but when they won't even match the giants on customer service, guess where we're all going to go?

Thanks for your honest and fair review — we fully accept your frustration, and you're right to expect better.

The pricing error you encountered was indeed part of a larger issue on our end. It wasn't a deliberate move or a case of passing the buck — the incorrect price came directly from a supplier feed and was unfortunately published to the site without the checks that should have caught it. That’s not an excuse, just a clear explanation of what happened, and we’ve already taken steps to prevent it from happening again.

We understand that from your side, the price wasn’t unreasonably low — especially around Black Friday, when deals are expected. That makes the cancellation all the more frustrating, and we’re sorry for how it was handled. We also take on board your point about the goodwill gesture. £10 off, manually applied, doesn’t really make up for the inconvenience, and we hear you loud and clear on that. We're reviewing how we handle these situations going forward, including whether our gestures feel fair and whether they’re even worth offering if they don’t restore trust.

You're also right about the broader issue: customers want to support smaller, independent stores — but only if the service, transparency, and reliability are there. We didn’t deliver that here, and we’re sorry. We’re working hard behind the scenes to make sure next time we do.

We’re sorry you feel that way. We understand that if something goes wrong with an order — especially around pricing, stock, or communication — it can leave a bad impression. But we want to be absolutely clear: we are not a scam company. We’re a registered UK business and have been trading for several years, with thousands of genuine orders fulfilled and many repeat customers who trust us.

That said, we fully acknowledge that there have been recent issues, particularly with pricing errors and how they’ve been handled. We’re actively working on fixing the systems behind these problems and improving transparency and service across the board. If there’s a specific issue you encountered, we’d like to make it right — and we’re available to help.

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback.

TL;DR:
If the price seems too good it definitely is and don't waste your time.

Last night I bought a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor for £240, holy moly!

Except the price was too good, and they were never going to fulfil it. I received the below email this morning.

Looking through reviews, this is far from the first time this has happened. They signed off with offering a £10 discount off my next order if I refer to that email...
I can only conclude this is either a fairly poor infrastructure setup needing an overhaul or a cringe-worthy route to marketing their site. Which, admittedly I had never heard of - but will likely now never purchase from again.

"Thank you for your recent order with us. Unfortunately, we have encountered an issue with the pricing provided by our distributor for the item(s) you ordered. Regrettably, this resulted in an error that made it impossible for us to fulfil your order at the price listed.
We have therefore had to cancel your order, and we deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused. Please rest assured that we are reviewing our processes with our distributor to prevent such errors from occurring in the future."

Thank you for your honest review — we completely understand your frustration and disappointment.

The pricing error you experienced was part of a wider issue that affected several listings due to incorrect data received from one of our distributors. Unfortunately, these prices were pushed live before being verified, and for that, we are genuinely sorry. This wasn’t a marketing ploy or a tactic to generate traffic — it was a genuine mistake caused by a breakdown in our pricing controls, which we’ve since communicated openly to affected customers.

We know that when you place an order in good faith — especially at what seems like an incredible price — having it cancelled the next day feels like a bait-and-switch. That’s not who we are, and it’s certainly not how we want to be seen. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to tighten up how our website handles supplier data, and we’re putting safeguards in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

Offering a discount on a future order was our way of trying to make a small gesture in what we know is a frustrating situation, but we fully accept that for many customers, it wasn’t enough to undo the disappointment. We can only apologise again, and assure you that we’ve taken this incident seriously and are making real changes because of it.

We appreciate you giving us a try, even if it didn’t go as it should have — and we're sorry that we didn't get it right.

Review of MoreCoco Store

I found the MoreCoco store online and decided to order a product they were offering with a next-day delivery option. I created an account, selected the next-day delivery service, and paid for the item around 1 p.m. Unfortunately, although the payment went through immediately, the product was never shipped.

I contacted their support several times. Someone replied vaguely, saying they would “pass the case on” somewhere, but nothing actually happened. The next morning, I wrote again asking for an update and confirmation that my order would be shipped. I received one short reply, then another, but still no real information or action.

Later, they provided me with a completely incorrect and fake tracking number for a parcel that didn’t exist. As a result, I didn’t receive the product the next day, nor the day after — and I doubt I’ll receive it at all.

Overall, my experience with this store has been extremely negative. They were unprofessional, unresponsive, and misleading. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, and I strongly advise avoiding such a disappointing and unreliable service.

We’re really sorry for the experience you’ve had — this clearly fell short of the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand your frustration completely.

Your order should have been dispatched promptly, and you should have received accurate tracking and clear updates throughout. The delay, vague replies, and incorrect tracking information are unacceptable and not reflective of how we operate under normal circumstances. We’re currently looking into what went wrong with your order specifically, as this does not meet the standards we set for communication or fulfilment.

We also want to be clear: any tracking information we send is issued directly from our system and should never be invalid or “fake” — so if incorrect details were sent, that’s a serious error, and we will be investigating how this happened.

We're genuinely sorry for the inconvenience, confusion, and lack of clear support. This is not how we want to be represented, and we appreciate you bringing the issue to light. If we haven’t already resolved this directly, we’d still like the chance to put things right — even if just to ensure a proper resolution.

Thanks for your feedback — we’re genuinely sorry for the frustration and disappointment caused in this situation.

We want to be completely transparent: the original listing for the ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS motherboard was shown as in stock due to a delay in system updates. In reality, the unit had just sold out around the time your order was placed. As soon as this was identified, the order was cancelled and a full refund was issued, with an explanation sent immediately.

The higher-priced listing you saw afterwards reflects a separate batch of stock, not the same item from your original order. Pricing can fluctuate depending on distribution costs, supply levels, and sourcing — but we completely understand how this came across, and we admit that without context, it looks unfair.

We don’t use misleading tactics or cancel orders to chase higher margins. That’s not how we operate. We’re actively working to improve how live stock is displayed across our website and marketplaces to prevent this kind of confusion going forward.

We know this explanation doesn’t change your experience, but we do want to set the record straight. We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused, and we appreciate you raising this — it helps us keep improving.

No Stock and they don't know it

I placed an order for five Enterprise Hard Drives after Ballicom failed to deliver.

After placing the order via the website they contacted me via telephone to verify delivery details.

I confirmed the order details including priority next day delivery.

The following day I stall had not received tracking details, so I contacted them only to find out they were out of stock.

I have the receipts to prove it.

I promptly cancelled the order and vowed never to order from them again.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience — we're genuinely sorry for how this unfolded. It's clear that we let you down, and we understand why you're frustrated.

To clarify, MoreCoCo and Ballicom are entirely separate businesses. There is no connection or partnership between us. What happened here was a stock issue on our end, not unlike what you unfortunately experienced elsewhere — but that doesn’t excuse it. You placed an order in good faith, paid for priority next-day delivery, and reasonably expected clear communication and prompt fulfilment. We didn’t deliver on that, and we’re sorry.

When our team reached out by phone, it was to ensure all delivery details were correct before dispatch, as is our usual process for high-value or bulk orders. At the time, the item appeared available, but we later discovered a stock discrepancy which should have been flagged much sooner — especially before any confirmation was given. That delay in communication is entirely on us.

We appreciate you bringing it to our attention and are reviewing the handling of this order internally to make sure it doesn’t happen again. While we understand your decision not to return, we’re genuinely sorry this was your experience with us.

We’re sorry to hear how strongly you feel about this situation and appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, even under these circumstances.

To be clear, we do not knowingly list items for sale that are out of stock. However, on rare occasions — particularly during periods of high demand or when system updates between platforms lag behind — an item may appear available when in fact it's just sold out. This is never intentional, and we do our best to act quickly when it happens.

If your order was affected by one of these instances, we apologise sincerely. A full refund would have been issued immediately, and any correspondence should have explained the situation at the time. That said, we understand how frustrating it is to have an order cancelled, especially without detailed context.

We're fully transparent in how we operate and will cooperate with any formal inquiries. Customer trust is something we value and take seriously, and we’re always reviewing our systems to prevent problems like this happening in future.

Cancelled my order even though they had stock to sell on Amazon for a hundred pound more

I was browsing PCPartPicker for a Ryzen 5 5500 or 5600 to place into my older PC with a first-gen Ryzen 1600.
I saw that for the first time in months, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D was in stock.
This was great as I could put the X3D in my PC with an RTX 4070 Super and take the 5600X I already have in there and place it in my older PC, which has a 1080p GPU, the AMD 6600.
This was a great win-win, but after a lot of messing around with their website not working on multiple browsers and 2 different PCs, I used my mobile phone and "voilà", I ordered my brand new 5700X3D.
About 5 minutes later, I received an email saying:
" Since receiving your order, the goods ordered have gone out of stock. This can sometimes happen, particularly on items in high demand or if a reseller customer places a bulk order before others are confirmed.

We have therefore cancelled your order, and if your card had been charged, we have already issued a full refund.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to obtain a restock date.

We apologise for the inconvenience. We never like letting our customers down, but sometimes it is unavoidable."

I was really pi**..ff (upset) by this as Amazon had them in stock but at the high price of £350 per piece.
So, I checked Amazon, and lo and behold, the Amazon listing was £350, but it was the storefront of, yeah, you guessed it, MoreCoCo.
So, they either decided they get more money from Amazon and cancelled it. Or, they have a good few CPUs in their warehouse but won't sell them to people buying from their website because they hold them for Amazon and a hundred quid more.
Absolutely disgusting.
I'll never buy from them unethical so-and-sos as long as I live.
And I advise you all not to as well because they care not a jot for their customers. Only gouging scalper prices using Amazon to the detriment of their customers.

Thanks for sharing your experience — we’re genuinely sorry for how this situation came across and the frustration it caused. It’s absolutely not the experience we want any customer to have, and we appreciate the chance to respond.

To clarify, the issue you encountered wasn’t due to any deliberate attempt to favour one platform over another, but rather a miscommunication between Amazon's systems and ours, which unfortunately led to a listing showing the wrong specification and price. This wasn’t something we caught quickly enough, and that’s on us. The item you saw listed at a higher price on Amazon wasn’t the same spec as the one that had just gone out of stock — but we understand how, from your point of view, it looked like we simply pulled it in favour of a more expensive sale.

The cancellation email you received is a standard one used in situations where overselling occurs — particularly with fast-moving, high-demand components like the 5700X3D. Stock levels are synced between platforms, but not always in real time, especially when something sells out in minutes. In this case, your order was placed almost simultaneously with another that cleared the final available unit, and the system couldn’t reconcile it fast enough.

We know how disappointing this was, especially with the excitement of grabbing a deal and planning your build around it. We also completely get why it came across as unfair and even unethical — and for that, we’re truly sorry. That wasn’t the intention at all.

We’re taking steps to avoid this kind of confusion going forward, including clearer messaging around live stock and platform pricing, and improving how our website and marketplaces reflect availability in real time.

We know this explanation may not change your mind, but we did want to set the record straight. We never set out to mislead or prioritise one group of customers over another, and we’re sorry that’s how this experience made you feel.

Honestly didn’t expect standard…

Honestly didn’t expect standard delivery to feel this premium. The package showed up exactly when it said it would, perfectly packed, not a dent in sight. What really impressed me was customer support — fast, friendly, and actually helpful (a rare combo these days). It felt like someone genuinely cared about my order. If every delivery went like this, waiting for parcels would actually be fun.

Really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review — this kind of feedback means a lot. We put a lot of effort into making sure orders arrive safely and on time, even with standard delivery, so it’s great to hear that stood out.

Even more so, we're glad our support team made a strong impression. Fast, friendly, and genuinely helpful is exactly what we aim for — no scripts, no runarounds, just real help from people who care.

Thanks again for your kind words. We’re here whenever you need us, and we’ll keep doing our best to make deliveries feel a little less like waiting and a bit more like something to look forward to.
