I have had the pleasure of having the help of Ben Griffin through pur mortgage application. He has been very helpful throughout the whole process, there was no question left unanswered and also very prompt to respond. I would highly recommend Ben to whomever is going through mortgage applications.

Ben Griffin was extremely helpful, responded very quickly and always provided great advice. He was also able to get me a much better rate then multiple other mortgage advisors. I would highly recommend him and will definitely be using him again!

I had a bad experience with MAB, they got me a mortgage offer, and the lender gave me the go ahead to exchange contract and agreeing to release funds, and withdrew after the exchange without providing any information why they have done that.

I approached MAB with the next step of action as them being my broker, but they would not find out why the lender have withdrawn or search for another lender for me despite the fact that I was about to loose my deposit on the property. They did not care if I loose my money and told me they will do nothing for me or assist me anymore.

The seller then offered me a 10days to complete notice else they have the legal right to take way my deposit. That period had an heavy pull on I and my family as we were at the edge of loosing our down payment for a property we have worked hard for.

Luckily another broker came to my aid and was able to get me an offer within 3 days and I was able to get the property despite the 10days notice to complete.

I will not recommend them or go close to using them in the future. I am totally disappointed considering the fact they came on recommendation.

I was disappointed that mab offered me a re-mortgage that I accepted and then the rate changed. They did not communicate I writing. I proceeded to accept the new numbers only to find that the house title number had not been done properly when I purchased the house 5-years ago. I knew nothing about this (there’s a big back log). This meant that I had accepted a mortgage that couldn’t be completed so I had to remortgage with my existing lender. I paid mab £400 for an ‘offer’ that could not be completed and about the same in extra interest charges while I waited. In future I will sort out myself. On this occasion they did nothing but bill me. Be careful which box you tick in their agreement and do not tick on offer.

Can't even put into words how disappointed I was with Tom at the Mortgage Advice Bureau. He gave me 'advice' that didn't sit entirely comfortably with me and I did a little digging around by myself. The results of my own research were confusing, so I explained that to him and sent him one of the links I'd found. His response was staggering. He mansplained to me that random internet sources weren't regulated, and I shouldn't trust computers. His tone was clearly offended, so I explained that I was feeling very stressed and was hoping for reassurance. He went on to say that most professionals would be offended if a client questioned their advice. I honestly felt he was dealing with my respectful request and reassurance in an emotional, reactive, and unprofessional way.

Meeting Allan G was such a coincidence!

Looking back, it seem incredible but we knew he was the right person the minute he started talking!
We've already spoken to other people however, they didn't seem know enough about our situation.

As a foreign couple buying their first property in the UK, we had many questions and no clue. And, believe me when I say; it wasn't easy at all!

Allan G was there for us at every step of the way, even when it wasn't his responsibility. He always was extremely patient with us- explaining everything the way we would understand and knew everything we may come across.

We will not be exaggerating if we said Allan G made it happen. He is a natural!

If you need someone who knows what he is doing and passionate about it, Allan G is the right person!

The MAB are great at first, giving you hope about being able to get on the property ladder. They gave me a mortgage certificate for over 400k and promised to 'be there every step of the way'. Except right at the end, where it came time to secure the mortgage product, they unceremoniously dropped me, without any explanation other than that they now couldn't secure the loan. Absolutely disgusting. I almost lost my house because of it

Absolutely fantastic company. Helpful, friendly, responsive. Continually strive to get you the best deal. Nothing is too much. Dealt with Luke and Katie. Both equally helpful. Send an email with a question and response back in usually under an hour. No chasing up replies. Will always use MAB

Have to give a massive shout to Becki who was amazing throughout our entire house buying process. We had lots of delays with our buyers solicitors and she was tenacious with great communication and showed a genuine interest in getting us our new home.

I used Amar at Leeds he is great!! As a first-time buyer he was patient and explained all the differnt products everything was understandable. I had a complicated health background he made me feel a eais he took the time to search specialist products to suit my needs. He is always available and responsive. He builds a relationship with you so you can continue to work with him in the future he doesn't sell you a one off product. I would always recommend him.

From first securing my mortgage 6 years ago I have always felt 100% confident with this company and with my advisor Scott. Buying a house on my own made me very nervous but I always felt well guided and safe! It's always a pleasure to speak to him when my mortgage is up for renewal and he's always so cheerful - I trust him implicitly!

Working with Vicky Alexander as our mortgage advisor was an excellent experience. She made the whole process easy and straightforward from start to finish. Vicky really understands the importance of work-life balance and was very considerate about when to contact us, making sure not to disturb us unnecessarily.

Dominic Challinor was also extremely polite and helpful throughout. Whenever we had any inquiries, both Vicky and Dominic responded to emails very quickly and clearly. They always took the time to ensure we fully understood every step of the process.

I had a dreadful experience with Mortgage Advice Bureau, particularly with their advisor Jonathan, who cost me £100 for absolutely nothing. From the start, his advice was poor and unhelpful, leaving me worse off than if I’d handled things myself.

Instead of providing proper support, Jonathan preferred to argue with me over text messages rather than picking up the phone, even when I explicitly asked him to call me back. His communication was unprofessional, and he seemed more interested in defending his mistakes than actually helping me.

To make matters worse, he kept unnecessarily checking my credit report, which ended up damaging my credit score. After wasting time and money, I eventually sorted out my mortgage on my own—something I should have done from the beginning.

An expensive lesson learned—I will **never** use Mortgage Advice Bureau again, and I strongly advise others to steer clear, especially if dealing with Jonathan. Save yourself the hassle and find a more competent, professional advisor elsewhere.

Neil supported myself and my partner through our first mortgage application. Neil was thorough and made the process so easy for us. Neil was very knowledgeable and knew where we could get the best deals. When there were bumps in the road, Neil was reassuring and proactive; ensuring that we were never left unsure of the status of our case. Thank you, Neil!

We had a great experience with the Mortgage Advice Bureau. Leah was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. Always quick responses and very helpful. When on annual leave Anna and Morgan were quick to respond and extremely helpful. Can't recommend enough.

SCAMMERS – AVOID NEELAM AT MORTGAGE ADVICE BUREAU LIKE THE PLAGUE

This company is a complete scam operation hiding behind a professional front. Neelam and the team will tell you everything you want to hear – “we’ve got hundreds of lenders,” “bad credit? No problem,” “we’ve got specialist options.” It’s all a scripted sales pitch to get one thing: your £300 application fee.

Yes, £300 just to submit your application to ONE lender. Not for securing a mortgage. Not for a full service. Just for clicking submit. And here’s the catch – if that one lender declines you, you’re done. They don’t try again. They don’t help. They don’t care. Why? Because they’ve already got your money.

It’s a scam tactic – they get paid whether you succeed or not, and they know most people won’t fight back. Well, I am. I’m getting a chargeback from my bank because I refuse to hand over £300 for NOTHING.

Real mortgage brokers only get paid when your mortgage completes. These people take the money upfront and leave you stranded. It’s beyond unethical – it’s theft with a smile.

Avoid Neelam. Avoid Mortgage Advice Bureau. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Go to Mortgage Store or literally anyone else who isn’t robbing people under the guise of “advice.”

Slow replies / having to chase / being ignored

Nick Ellis was fantastic, as a first time buyer I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, but he took the time on every call to fully explain and break things down for me. He responded promptly to all of my emails, covering every point, and was there every step of the way ! Would 100% recommend him, and would consider him an asset to the business
