I was a first time buyer & didn’t know what to expect. Vicky at Mortgage maker was fantastic throughout the process her work was quick & explained the process clearly to me. Unfortunately the solicitors I had chosen were slow however Vicky was re-assuring.

As a first time buyer it’s good to know you have a broker who is there holding your hand every step of the way. I will be using mortgage maker in the future when I decide to move again.

Vicky has been dealing with my house purchase since December 2020 and, although my house purchase hasn't been straightforward and is still in progress (almost 9 months later) Vicky is still as helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in guiding us towards completion as she was on day one.

Initially our aim was to get a mortgage application in December with an offer as soon as possible to beat the end of the stamp duty holiday - Vicky knew which providers would be able to meet our deadline, submitted our application, spoke with the underwriter and within 2 weeks we had a mortgage offer.

Vicky also, helped with liaising with the solicitors and estate agents to ensure a smooth transaction.

Now our mortgage requirements have changed a little and Vicky has helped us submit new mortgage applications and I'm sure we will have no issues getting our new mortgage.

I would not hesitate in using Vicky for all my mortgage needs in the future.

Vicky was recommended by a good friend who's supposed to be pretty good with self-employed individuals. Initially she came across as professional and helpful however lacks the personal touch, a bit robotic with her response and approach to things. As soon as she learned about my situation which is not as straightforward or ''easy money'' as she would have liked, she became disinterested, even after my situation has improved she has totally ignored my contacts. She only seem to have contacts with the bigger high street lenders, so if you're after someone who is on the ball, persistent on trying to source you a deal high and low, she might not the be the best person for the job. She said she could source a deal within 24 hours, then it became 1 week then 1 month later still nothing. I'm sure, if your situation is less complicated, she can get it done. Another thing is she doesn't answer her calls, she gives you a time when she will call but the last two times she was late. As a first time buyer who has little experience in the whole process to come across someone like that is disheartening.
