John was knowledgeable and interesting. The tour was well planned. I loved, among other things, the raptor birds at Bolton Castle.
I am amazed with his weather-control power…we had a beautiful day!

The route itself was absolutely spectacular, but Tim truly made our day. Not only did he share so much knowledge about the area, but he also kept us laughing for almost 8 hours straight. We came home with huge smiles on our faces, and this is definitely a tour we won’t forget. Thank you, Tim!

We would highly recommend Mountain Goat tours. We have taken full day tours in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dalesand both were five star- superb: fabulous itineraries, marvellous drivers/ guides who shared their knowledge - generously and with humour and passion - for these stunningly beautiful parts of the UK. We have been travelling by train and bus and Mountain Goat tours made these, otherwise inaccessible, spots easily visited. Excellent value for money and truly perfect in every way. Highly recommended.

The experience was more than perfect. We went with Tim. He was very polite, knowledgeable, funny, cooperative, and purely a genuine person! The trip was filled with activities and information that we would’ve never got going on our own. I definitely recommend this. Specially with Tim!

This is the second Mountain Goat tour experience. We have been impressed with our tour guides, this time Tony.
He did an excellent job driving the narrow roads in the Lake District, while narrating the terrain, historical information and geological formations.
Greatly appreciated our many stops and vistas along the way.

My husband and I had a brilliant time on the All Creatures Great and Small tour. Mark our tour guide was brilliant, he is so knowledable about Yorkshire and we saw places we had never seen before. The caves where the butter was dropped into to keep it cold on its way across the moors to market was a surprise, the small hidden rock garden, cow houses never heard of them before and then the views on the moors were amazing. Mark was able take us on alternative routes due to the roads blocked in the area so our day was not spoilt following detour signs. We had a fun, entertaining and informative day out. Another great trip with Mountain Goat and it certainly won't be our last.

Our mountain goats tour for all things great and small was really great. Our driver and narrator Jon did an excellent job relating the history of the areas we visited. He provided a lot of good information and answered questions. It was very enjoyable.

We had a packed but lovely day.
Steve was great. Very knowledgeable.
Told some great stories and kept us entertained. Also recommended a great place to eat.
Would recommended this trip.
Just be aware the parking is £25.
We found it hard to find the bus stop as it was not marked and nobody else waiting for us to know where it was.

We have discovered the lake District from Windermere and northern Wales from Liverpool. It was two wonderful tours ! The mini bus is a real +, we can discover things that we couldn’t with a big one. I have to say that our two drivers were also amazing ! Thank you Peter for your kindness and for sharing so much knowledge. And thank you Lee for your energy, your knowledge and for building such an amazing ambiance during the day ! We definitely recommend those adventures!! We will discover more with moutain goats next time we go to Great Britain, I have no doubt about it, we enjoyed it so much ! Again, it’s perfect when you want to meet people, discover beautiful landscapes, learn about locals and culture, and when you want to rest a little and just follow the flow. Thank you so much from 🇫🇷 and 🇩🇪!

My tour to the Yorkshire Dales was absolutely fantastic. Everything was top-notch and perfectly organized. Ben is a very witty and engaging guide who shared so many interesting details about the region.
The nature was stunning, especially the Aysgarth Falls and the amazing views from Bolton Castle (the bird of prey display was a wonderful bonus!). We also had a delicious lunch at the Wensleydale Creamery—a great way to get a taste of the local area.
The tour even inspired me to start watching "All Creatures Great and Small" to see those lovely places again. A perfect way to get a great overview of Yorkshire. Highly recommended!

The driver was 1 hour late for my pick up. He did apologise due to traffic out of his control. David the driver was very very talkative and in the 8 hours he never stopped talking apart from several stops on our journey. He is very knowledgeable but not every single second with lots of unrelated stuff and kept repeating himself. He is a good driver cant fault him for that. He did help me as I unfortunately got sick and he did get me back to my hotel.

We took the All Creatures Great & Small tour from York through the Dales and had a wonderful time. Ben was our driver and he was informative, entertaining and fun. The Dales are beautiful and we were able to see firsthand the setting that we enjoy so much as fans of the show. Being in Grassington and seeing the fictional Darrowby was amazing. The creamery stop was delicious and Bolton Castle was interesting and exciting because we saw the birds of prey exhibition they put on. It was a wonderful day seeing a magical part of England. Thank you, Ben, for taking such great care of our group!

Our guide John was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The tour was very good but John made it so very interesting and fun.

Fantastic tours experience! We did the North York Moors Tour on one day, and the All Creatures Great and Small Tour the next, both with Trevor. Absolutely enjoyed the commentary and views, and it was an excellent way to see the countryside as well as small towns and Whitby without needing to drive ourselves - which, as Canadians, was a bit daunting. Would completely recommend checking out these tours!

Excellent Service & Knowledge

The driver was friendly, witty and knowledgeable about the tour route. Had a great time, will definitely be using them again.

Our tour guy Steve was so full of historical and entertaining facts. We are familiar with the Lakes but learned things we didn't know! We thought the day was very good value and a lot was packed into our trip. Excellent day despite a couple of planned road closures, which meant a small change of the route! I would definitely recommend booking and we will be coming back for more.

Day tour of the lakes taking in Hawkshead, Bowness and a Windermere cruise. Paul was our tour guide, giving background and making the places come alive with his interesting facts and stories, he was the perfect tour guide making the day very enjoyable and memorable.

Had a fabulous trip on the Mountain Goat on 2.10.25 in the Lake District. Our tour guide was Lisa who was enthralling with the tale of the Beauty of the Lakes from the Fish Inn.
I was intrigued!
Would highly recommend this tour as these buses can go where a coach cannot !

Great Guide. Knew so much about the Yorkeshire Dales Mark H. Such an enjoyable day. Lunch at beautiful Bolton Castle and stunning views of waterfalls and James Herriot Country.

Went on the 10 Lakes tour. We had a wonderful day, fantastic scenery. Well organised tour. Plenty of stops.
Patrick was our driver, knowledgeable about the lakes, even quoted some Wordsworth poetry. Good sense of humour. Glad there are only 16 people on the tour.
Unforeseen road block, but Patrick just took it in his stride and soon had us back on track. We were not rushed at any of the stops. I would definitely recommend Mountain Goat Tours.
Elliott in the office, is very nice. Does a great job. Has a great sense of humour.
I’ll definitely be going on another tour.
