365 Property Solutions aka Paul Kitchen roofer in Leeds - Unprofessional Service and Failure to Deliver Agreed Work

I engaged this roofer following a recommendation from a friend, for whom he had completed a small job. My project, valued at just under £5,000, has been almost fully paid, with only £200 outstanding.

He committed to fibreglassing my flat roof and replacing all cast iron guttering. Unfortunately, the work carried out is of an extremely poor standard and has been flagged by two independent contractors as likely to cause further issues. The guttering remains incomplete, and my property has been left in a mess.

Communication has been equally disappointing. He frequently ignores calls and messages, fails to attend when agreed, and provides inconsistent reasons for non-attendance. While delays due to weather are understandable, I have been explicitly told that other jobs take priority over mine, which is unacceptable given the level of payment already made.

He only re-engaged after I raised the possibility of court action and reporting the matter to Trading Standards. Despite this, he has still failed to provide a clear timeline for completing the work and continues to delay matters. When he does respond, his communication is often dismissive and unprofessional.

I have since noticed a similar complaint in other reviews (after I booked this roofer), describing comparable issues. Had I been aware of this, and that this work appears to be undertaken as a secondary activity rather than a primary business, I would not have proceeded.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor.

Excellent service from Scott

Scott responded within half hour of posting job. Came to see me and suggested better option for tiling which I went with. Arranged to come on Saturday which he did. Absolutely delighted with finished job. Would highly recommend.

Open to abuse if someone sends you details of a job you get charged I'd say 75 % are fake but you still pay .I left I'd need 20 jobs to pay the fees on the 1s I don't accept

The Pumper price is cheaper but the…

The Pumper price is cheaper but the skill is poor. Some water came out after changed the tap. It made my ceiling became a pool. We called the engineer came back. He came back to reinstall it. It seems no problem in that moment. However, after the day, when the water tap turn on, some water drop from the pipe under the tap. I called the engineer again. But the engineer has not replied. I believe he will not come back again. I think I need to call another pumper. It is very worst for me.

Getting real sick of mybuilder as a…

Getting real sick of mybuilder as a tradesperson. Seems now that I’m getting spammed with invites to job leads constantly which are clearly a scam. Thinking of leaving the site as they are not vetting these people at all. I’m sure there’s a lot of tradespeople getting caught out from it and having to pay. This is the only place where I’ve actually seen mybuilder respond I think they ignore refund request in the hope you’ll just forget and go away. Not good mybuilder sort your vetting out.

Just to clarify, as a tradesperson, the fee you pay is for a contact number for the customer.

If on the rare occasion, a customer’s number does happen to be out of service we will always refund the fee.

The majority of our site users choose to post a job with us because they are happy to contact and ultimately hire a tradesperson.

90% of jobs now posted are a scam or a fishing post
Can't even police their own site.
Avoid like the plague if your a tradesmen. Prices are also now extortionate disgraceful

We tried My Builder after several…

We tried My Builder after several disappointing "local builders" we got several replies over a couple of days and saw the name Phil Hogan plastering we contacted him and received a reply very quickly we explained the job which needed plastering and asked when he could come and give us a quote he said he would make time after the job he was on and came the next afternoon he worked out a quote and sent it to us mid evening
It was a good price and he said that he could start in a few days as the weather was turning and he would temporarily stop the outside work he was on, he kept us informed and told us the day and he asked if 7.30 was ok? He turned up just before then and started almost immediately
There were No endless T breaks No "popping out " He worked right through the day only really stopping for a sandwich at dinner he turned up the next day same time and finished the job , a job we are very happy with as there were some awkward angles and hard to reach places .
I expected it to take a bit longer but he quoted a price we accepted he came on time ,no fuss and we are happy.
I would definitely use him again

Used twice so far, will happily continue to use for jobs

I was recommended MyBuilder after several let downs from more local trades. It's extremely easy to use, fill in a few details about the job you want doing, provide photos as needed and post. Trades will them see these and can get back to you via message or can ring you. I've had 2 really brilliant experiences hiring a plumber and a painter, both organised to do the jobs within a week of being in touch and both did a brilliant job, turned up when they said they would, fairly priced and cleaned up after themselves.
