Absolutely brilliant support for my business, from the forms and contracts to the invoicing software. It is well worth the money and great to know I am part of a professional body with a code of ethics. NARPS always keep me up to date with any changes in legislation and update their forms as well to keep them current for the council/DEFRA guidelines. Highly recommend.

NARPS is great as a whole, but I find in particular the software extremely useful. It allows me to manage my team and organise bookings, etc. without having to buy expensive software. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them! Highly recommend.

Every time I’ve had questions for NARPS I’ve found that even if I think my question is silly, they’ve treated me well without any way of making me feel silly.
Recently I asked about taking on someone else to help and do their course. The team pointed me in the right direction, got another colleague to assist with my query and there was no stress in reaching the outcome.

NARPS UK are a very professional, helpful and courteous company. They are always very happy to provide help and advice whenever is if needed.

I've had Gold Membership for several years and I have used them for advice , as well as finding their legal stuff really helpful. In addition, I have undertaken pet safety training courses, which are excellent, easy to follow and most of all, confirmation that you are doing things right. If you are doing anything with dogs or other pets you're sure to find membership a great benefit.

We have been using this system for 6 years, we find the service to be very good. The software is easy to use and easily navigated through. We totally recommend the software to anyone working with animals particularly for dog services.

Great for new businesses
In the last few months I have set up a new pet sitting business and have found the contract templates and other information provided in the membership absolutely invaluable. Easy to understand and tailor to my needs and meant I could set up faster than anticipated with my first clients.

I have been a member of NarpsUK since 2018 and find them very helpful.
The software they provide with my membership is very useful and helps me to keep track of my bookings.
I also feel that being a member and therefore the permission to share the NarpsUK logo on my information provides people with a sense of comfort and security, knowing that I abide by a code of conduct relating to how their pets are treated.

I joined NARPS as a gold member when I setup my dog walking business 2 years ago. Made complete business sense; I got a discount off my business insurance, access to forms and templates (getting the service agreement contract template wording correct and bullet proof for free is a godsend) and can display the NARPS accreditation on my website.

I also found their free legal advice for members very useful when an incident happened on one of my walks.

The package seems expensive when you first look at it, but I've found it very worthwhie.

I have a dog walking business and hold NARPS Gold membership which has proved invaluable in so many ways.
When I was setting up my business I found the software so easy to use to create client profiles, make and update bookings and manage invoices.
The legally checked documents gave me peace of mind and I have taken advantage of discounted insurance, DBS checks and a number of courses including animal first aid.
I also find the forum extremely useful and supportive.
Being a member of NARPS UK has been the single most effective thing I did and as a result I highly recommend it to anyone with a pet service business

I’ve been using the website and the app for 3 and a half years now for my dog sitting business, extremely easy to use and couldn’t operate my business without it.

When I set up my dog walking business in September 2017 I found the software package and the forms an absolute asset. Although I was a lawyer I wouldn’t know where to have started or even thought of some of the forms.

I still use these forms for any nee customers.

Also the assistance I received in getting the logos for my van - so helpful.

I set up a dog walking business 2 years ago. I wanted it to be very professional and offer a service that would be attractive to dog owners like me. I realised that there was no licence or standards of service and pretty much anyone could claim to be a dog walker and shove a group of dogs in a car and take them round the block.
I looked for a way of demonstrating that I was doing things properly having invested in a van and cages I wanted customers to see that I was following a set of rules and that I was part of a professional group. That search led me to NARPS and I signed up as a Gold member. I use their software to manage all my bookings and invoices. I also submit financial reports to my accountant annually and keep on top of my expenses and fuel. I use the mobile app on my phone to see each booking and update or change bookings on the doorstep if a customer needs to move or add an extra walk.
I also did some online Animal first aid training as I started in lockdown and first aid courses were not available. I did my DBS check via the NARPS website I also use their contracts as the basis for my terms of business with my customers.
A lot of customers do not know what NARPS is so I explain to them why I signed up and continue to be a member. I have never gained any clients through their website but new customers appreciate the standards that I am maintaining and I believe it makes my business stand out against other walkers with a different business model.
I hope that dog walkers had to have licences and in future this may well happen. There are some bad practices out there and I welcome licensing because with the guidance and NARPS membership and my own standards I’m sure to qualify with ease.

There is also a Facebook page where we can support and share information relevant to our business which I have found very useful.

Narps is a National organisation that offer template contract, excel accounts and much more. Using their booking tool is easy and if you have a problem they are easy to contact. I have been a member since I started my business in 2016 I offer all sorts of services and there is a contract for all of them. There is also a Service Agreement contract. And they offer training courses. Worth joining particularly if you are setting up from new.
